Very good location - short walk away from la rambla and Gothic quarter. The reception staff were welcoming and checked us in swiftly. The room was spacious and clean, decent fresh breakfast variety.

There was one porter staff member in particular with the name of 'Oriel' that ruined the whole experience here - he was very rude at all times the way he spoke to my group and kept on asking every time he saw us come in and out of the hotel if we are guests here. This was embarrassing and humiliating as he would shout and stare angrily when asking this and create a scene. He wasn't like this with other guests and no other staff member did this. If you're thinking of staying here and you have brown skin do not bother staying here!

Loved the location. Hotel was close to the metro and bus lines which made it easy to access the city. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a little expensive but had a huge selection. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Being minutes from le Ramblas was a huge bonus. Taxis easy to find.

Lighting in the room could have been better. Had to be mindful of the rooms in the building opposite as the looked directly into ours , however there were 2 curtains one light and one heavy. So not really a huge issue.

The room was super comfortable. The curtains darkened the room completely and allowed us to sleep in late which was great. The AC worked fantastically and was very welcomed in the heat of summer. The pool was small but exactly the reprieve one is looking for at the end of a touring day. Location was superb.

The elevators were problematic and eventually one broke down. There was a problem with the key mechanism and we got stuck outside our room for an hour late at night. We were compensated with complementary breakfast which was fabulous.

Our room was a good size - we had a King bed and our 14-yr-old and 9-yr-old slept together on the pull out couch. All of us slept very comfortably. My kids loved the pool, the lobbies were nice, the location was perfect. Overall, we were very happy and would recommend.

Really, our only issue was the fact that we had poor internet connection in room 240. When we got home at the end of a long day out, we all just wanted to relax and watch ipads and phones (especially since the TV stations were all in Spanish) and our connectivity was weak. Streaming was spotty. I would like to suggest to the hotel that they find a way to allow English subtitles on the TV - we tried to access the option, but it didn't seem to be available.

Location : Superb. Stone's throw from Las Ramblas. A host of shopping options, eateries, restaurants around the hotel . After a morning spent sightseeing, one can easily come to the room , relax, freshen up and then head out again. Room: Superb . Very spacious room. Well appointed in all respects . Tea / coffee with hot kettle. Bathrooms: Superb. Spacious. Well provided with toiletries and extra towels !! I have never seen any hotel providing extra towels. Very useful for showers after all the sightseeing . Staff : Super courteous, smiling and helpful, right from the doorstaff to the checkin to the restaurant (at breakfast) Facilities : Swimming pool. In fact the hotel , one evening, the hotel provided complimentary drinks at the pool and in fact called us in the room to inform us about it. Breakfast was sumptous and delicious. Ample spread. No complaints.

1. View from the room looked directly into the neighboring apartment. Had to keep the windows drawn most times. atleast the thin ones for privacy. 2. The corridors are long and winding. atleast our room was located in one of the furthest corners of the hotel , which was a substantial walk from the elevators. These are the only two things that makes me rate it a 9, not a perfect 10. But in comparison to the above pluses, this is a small flaw in an otherwise superb experience.

The room was large and comfortable and the breakfast was great! They had a machine that used oranges to squeeze fresh orange juice! The location was perfect, only a 5 minute stroll to Ramblas (the main pedestrian street) yet just far enough away to avoid the noisy hustle & bustle of this main thoroughfare.

My only complaint (and it is a minor one) was the lobby bar. I wish it had been a little more inviting and therefore it might be used more by the guests as a meeting place to discuss the daily adventures had by all in Barcelona.

The breakfast was amazing. So many options to choose from and it was always fresh. Breakfast was in a large room where you didn’t have to worry about not having a place to sit. Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great.

It would have been nice to have another bed as there were 3 of us. Our room had a King bed and the staff brought up a cot which fit in a good area of the room and was fairly comfortable. Our sink in the bathroom did not drain very well. Which looked to us could be the design of the plumbing.

The staff was amazing from the time we entered until we had left. I would like to mention and give a big thanks to Carlos and Sabrina who were very helpful, polite and made us feel very comfortable.

I booked this hotel because it had a spa facility which I found to be too small compared to the pictures that has been advertised and also the fact that you had to pay extra to use the facilities.

Perfectly situated, close to everything, staff were so helpful and really accommodating to us. We absolutely loved our suite as it was booked for a special occasion.

I was really disappointed that the hotel website does not state that children are unable to go in the indoor pool. The whole reason I booked this hotel was so we had an indoor pool for my little one, only to be told once we’d got there, that he was unable to go in it. The outdoor pools are not heated, so we’re unable to use them either. I booked a suite with s jacuzzi pool and again it wasn’t heated, so we were unable to use it. If they are not heated this needs to be stated or don’t sell them in the cooler months. Feel like i did get my monies worth and was overpriced for what I actually got

Room on pre-cruise stay was fabulous. Post cruise stay - we arrived early and staff advised they would find us in pool area to let us know when room ready. 1round 4.30 it was established they forgot us but then upgraded to amazing balcony room
