Staff at this hotel were lovely, smiling, and helpful. Our room located on the 5th floor was quiet, and rooms were serviced daily. There was plenty of storage space. There was a variety of hot and cold options on offer at breakfast. Breakfast bowls were huge, and their granola delicious. The location was an easy 10 minute walk from Sagrada Familia, and the Sagrada Familia Metro Station. There were lots of restaurants and small supermarkets in the area. We used the Metro to get around as the Hop On Hop Off Buses we saw had queues of people waiting (Sunday 19 November). Getting to and from the airport wasn't difficult either as we travelled light. From the airport, catch the orange line (L9 South), change at Collblanc station onto the blue line (L5, towards Vall d'Hebron) and get off at Sagrada Familia Metro Station. It costs just over 5 Euros per person. We used the Hola Barcelona Travel Card which made travel stress free. We purchased on-line before we left, and it was easy to pick up from ticket machine at airport metro station (English language button on machine).

The keycard to Room 504 was temperamental. The door never opened on the first try. Sometimes it took up to 10 tries before it opened. We had to go down to reception at least twice because the door wouldn't open. A staff member came with us, and helped us open the door. It seemed acceptable that many tries were required. We have stayed at lots of hotels over the years, and never had problems using key cards before. Staff were always kind, but not being able to open the door to your room after a long day out exploring this wonderful city, was tiring, and quite frankly, annoying. This was the only reason we did not give this hotel more stars. There was only one chair for sitting in the room. A chair for each guest would have been better.

Very helpful staff: everyone spoke English with ease, and sorted even technical issues for us. Very good breakfasts, with no eye on the clock for finishing on time.

Difficult to find in first place: needs a brighter, more prominent sign. Use of lift with card is fiddly - doesn’t always work… Map not very clear - too many streetswithout names. Difficult to find a good, non-tapas restaurant.

It is centrally located to major sights! The personnel were attentive.

When we first arrived the A/C was not working 🥵I spoke with front desk personnel. I was told to try a couple of ‘tweaks’. I followed their instructions with no success. We planned on going out for a few hours. I was told they would fix the situation while we were gone. We returned; very hot and exhausted, to our room where the A/C was STILL NOT WORKING. After personnel came and ‘tweaked’ the system we were EVENTUALLY moved to a different room.

I really love the location it is very near in La Sagrada Familia, Metro and Bus stations. There is no hussle going to other tourist spots in Barcelona. Also there is a lot of restaurants around the hotel. Staffs speaks in English very well.

I dont like is that how they clean our room. they dont change the beddings since we already had our 3rd day there and i know they saw it since when you have kids, it always got messy. They change only the towels and mopped the floor. And the breakfast there is no other options it is still the same for our 5 days stay there. i hope they give more options.

We loved our stay in Ibis Barcelona Centro! - comfortable beds - quiet environment - amazing location - lovely staff - well-working a/c - cleanliness - luggage deposit available.

Everything was great, still some minor things to be improved. - poor breakfast; even though the quality of food was good, it was very unvaried - the bathroom door didn't close - the room was quite small for 2+1, we didn't have much space to keep our things.

The location was very close to a main tourist attraction. Easy to access the public transportation from this location. The AC was working wonderfully which was great because there was a heat wave. The showers were very large and took up half the bathroom. Breakfast had a decent selection but it didn't really change much daily.

The tourist tax is really expensive for large families. The hotel windows are not very good at sound proofing outside noise on certain floors. The garbage pickup was at 1am and it was very loud from the 3rd floor street view rooms. My partner was on the 5th floor street view and heard no outside noises.

This was such a great hotel to do a few days of sightseeing. We picked it because of proximity to Sagrada Familia and because it was just a little less busy. Staff were just so helpful, breakfast was good value and hotel was clean and sufficiently spacious.

Room was too hot for us Scots (AC only kicked out hot air) so we had to leave window open which was obviously then noisy. I would note that I had this exact issue just days before on a 4* hotel in the area (work) too so I don’t think this is specific to the hotel

Very good location. The room was quiet, it helped me to chill after long day. The bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfort, and it was great pleasure to lay on it after a whole day of sightseeing. AC was efficent and very quiet, I've almost forgot that I have such thing in my room.

I've found that my room was infested by ants. There were no toilet brush in the toilet, it was very unpleasant for me to leave rests of my "creation" for staff to clean it. I understand that some people may not find this useful but I was not able to see image from my laptop on the TV.

First of all I want to thank the hotel team! Reception team can help you to find out all important information about the city, transport...also you can borrow there an iron, print your tickets and get a map of the city. All members of the team are very kind and helpful. The room was cleaned every day! Thanks! The breakfast was tasty! There are 2 Ⓜ stations close to the hotel. Also there is a small supermarket next to the hotel.

The hotel is very well located, near Sagrada Familia and close to public transport. The room was very good, clean and big enough. In the room was the perfect temperature. The breakfast was the same every day, but very good. The staff was very polite, spoke english very well ( better than us 😁 ) and helpful all the time. We stayed at the hotel 4 days , me, my husband and my eight year old son and we had a great experience. We wil choose again Ibis Hotels. We recommend.

Near the big bed ( we had two beds ), it would be better to have a snuff to charge the phone.
