It is our second stay in this hotel, and the hotel premises and the personnel at the reception are great. There is an excellent breakfast with local dishes to try. The hotel is located close to the city centre, in a walking distance from several museums, historical city centre and shopping streets.

This year the room we got was quite dark, with the window facing the inner yard and when it was sunny outside, it did not reach the yard and room stayed constantly dark. When we got the room, drawers near the bed were also a bit dusty.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite and tried to accommodate our every request. There was plenty of free refreshment (bottled water, tea, coffee, both in the room and in the lobby) and snacks available. Well located, clean, comfortable hotel. The breakfast, although expensive, was outstanding and worth the money. The twin beds were fantastic (2 standard doubles), and the bathroom was nicely arranged.

Unfortunately the air conditioning needs upgrading and was hopeless in the quieter internal rooms. The rooms facing the street suffered from poor sound insulation from the street noise (and there can be quite a bit on some nights at 2 to 4 in the morning). The hotel cannot control the noise from revellers but improved sound insulation would be a great bonus. If not for these factors, the stay would have been perfect.

Kind staff; accommodating when I requested a quiet room and extra coffee. Clean. Comfortable. Well-located. Great walkability.

Regrettably was put next to a service/utility closet of sorts and the door was repeatedly slammed early in the morning. I didn't need an alarm. That was my alarm. I tried chalking it up to "Well, it's Spain" (having had lived in Bilbao previously and knowing my noise expectations coming from CH were different), but it was a rather rude awakening (pun intended) when it was my first time kid-free in 6 months and I could have really used sleeping in. Tip: If you require a quiet room, avoid the room next to the utility closet on the 6th floor!

There was nothing to dislike about the room or the hotel. Though, there was also nothing remarkable to remember. It delivered what has been stated on website.

At checking out, we asked the receptionist can he keep our luggage for a couple hours while we go to rent-a-car company to collect our car. He forgot to mention that the street in which is the hotel will be closed and that we will not be able to access the area due to scheduled parade. We wasted a couple hours to retrieve the luggage with unnecessary stress that could be easily avoided.

The location is excellent for transport to and from and within Bilbao. Museums are nearby as well as ak lovely park. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast selection and service is excellent.

Only two issues for us Aspects of the room were a bit 'tired'. Creaky bathroom door. Another door needing a bit of repair/ paint and an armchair that had seen better days The bar downstairs was almost 'nightclub' a bit too, bright, white, stark. It didn't look or feel comfortable/relaxed. We went elsewhere for our nightcap.

Excellent room with lots of space, confortable beds and very efficient air conditioning. The bathroom was also large and well equipped. The location was excellent with lots of options for public transport nearby, and lots of places to eat also.

The breakfast was very good but the only hot options (like eggs or bacon) had to be ordered to the cook and that could take a long time when the place was full (which was almost always).

Good location. The staff from reception, dining and bar were all excellent. The room was always spotless. I have stayed in a few NH hotels and their standards are always high. I will be in NH Ciudad de Cuenca in late September so hopefully the good standards will be continued there.

When hotels are busy maintenance to rooms can be difficult, our room was no different. The cabinet door in front of the fridge was hanging off and wouldn't close, the back of the door in the bathroom had water damage and the small leather armchair in the room looked as if the upholstery on the arms had been scratched by a dog or cat and was peeling off. Please be aware these small issues did not in any way ruin or detract from a great stay in the hotel, but I thought the were worth mentioning.

The bedroom and bathroom are separated by doors, so our room seems to have been upgraded to a suite secretly by the staff? :) The room is super spacious and comfortable. Also, the shower and the toilet are in separate rooms. All the facilities are clean and convenient. The staff at the reception is a huge plus! Super friendly and helpful. We went to most of the restaurants he recommended, and tried the best pinchos! We really enjoyed our 4-day stay here!

The room was lovely and big in terms of other hotels in the area & the hotel was spotless. The breakfast was great, with a chef cooking your eggs and bacon to order, as well as plenty of cold options to choose from.

The noise from other rooms, we were unlucky to be in between rooms of a group who were very noisy, with screaming & shouting at night time. So maybe better sound-proofing.

A pleasant hotel in the new city centre, on the main street of Bilbao. The hotel has an excellent location, within walking distance of the Guggenheim Museum and the Museo de Bellas Artes. Availability of various types of pintxos bars in the nearby area. Walking distance to the Old Town. The room was spacious enough, equipped with a coffee maker. Very good breakfast. Extremely professional and helpful reception staff.

Since our room was located in the courtyard, it was possible to see into the room from the corridor near the elevators if the curtains were not drawn.
