Stunning top floor apartment with two equally good en-suite bedrooms and a rooftop terrace to die for. Perfect for sundowner drinks and morning coffee. It was refreshing that there was a reception desk manned for most of the day, and the lady who checked us in was truly lovely, smiley and welcoming. We booked this apartment for three of us and the cost compared very well with the two double rooms we might have booked somewhere else, but we got much more space. Great location just off Plaza San Antonio, and very quiet. Whole-heartedly recommend!
This is a suggestion, not a complaint! It would be useful to have a light on the landing when getting back at night so you can see the keypad for the door code!

Beautiful building in the very centre of Cadiz. Plenty of hustle and bustle outside but the apartment was very quiet. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for 4 adults. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you are staying more than 2 days it is a good idea to buy the sightseeing bus tour as this is a good introduction to Cadiz and the basic ticket also includes entry to the Cathedral and Tower at no extra cost. You can also purchase the Catamaran ride as part of this ticket (if you fancy a boat trip around the Bay). We only found this out after paying for everything seperately!! D'oh!
Only quibble was that there was no outside space to sit in. Our apartment only faced inwards towards the internal courtyard, so no direct sunlight which was a real shame. It looked like the Hotel was originally linked to the bar/restaurant next door with patio doors but these are now closed (and the restaurant had odd opening times). This meant there was no natural/accessible communal space for guests to use.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the building is beatiful and perfectly situated, the apartment was very clean and well equipped. Maria was most kind and welcoming and gave us many suggestions on what to do and see in Cadiz. The restaurant suggestions were also excellent. Amenities are so close and two of the best ice cream shops are within 200 metres on Ancha street. I also really liked the keyless system they have throught the building.
Due to the layout of the building the apartment was rather dark. This is probably a standard measure to keep the heat away but we had to use the electric lights most of the time.

There are just nine rooms in this gem of a hotel. That means no lines of guests trying to get the attention of the staff, no interminable wait for answers to your questions. Because the staff, by necessity, is very lean, everyone of them knows about everything. That's not a minor point; ask any staff member any question and the answer is complete. You will not be told to see another staff member, or that it's not their area of control. Simply put, everyone really does know everything, so questions are dealt with immediately. Recommendations for shows, restaurants, places of interest and even the best walking routes were always great. Room was wonderful and the location could not have been better!
Didn't stay longer.

No parking at this hotel but underground car park within 100 meters (Plaza San Antonio). Pedestrian only street with lots of restaurants and a small grocery store next door. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff in particular went out their way to check that we had everything we needed and assisted with the operation of the combined washer/dryer. The location is excellent. It is a 10 - 15 walk to most of the major attractions in the old city. The puppet museum was a fun 30 minutes but a slightly longer walk.
Nothing.

Communication with the hotel was really easy, we checked in before we got there. There was a reception so we were given the keys by a lovely receptionist who was extremely lovely and helpful. The room was like a studio apartment. Full kitchen inc washing machine/dry that had detergent to use. The bed was extremely comfy and it was nice to have a seating area. There was BBC world news as the only English TV but sometimes you just want some background noise when you come home in the evening. There was also a kettle, which as a none coffee drinker I appreciate. Right in the heart of the old town it had a lovely feel and everything there is to see was only a few mins walk away. The hotel has lots details of things to do and restaurants to visit , which was really helpful (one restaurant was La Candela and the best food we had in 2 weeks in Spain) Cadiz can be very busy with tourist from Seville in the mornings, so it was lovely to spend a few days in this hotel and just lie in and then go out for lunch and by 2pm virtually have the town to yourself and go to visit the cathedral later in the afternoon and have a drink in the square outside in the afternoon sun. I would definitely stay here again, I loved the style of the hotel, staff and relaxed atmosphere of Cadiz.

Location was fantastic. On one of the nicest streets in Cadiz, right near Plaza San Antonio. The apartment itself was very clean and modern. We booked a 2 bedroom and upon arrival noted that it only had a window facing the internal courtyard. This made the apartment rather dark, but our host kindly moved us to the top floor apartment which benefited from the light coming through the hotels atrium. Overall we enjoyed our stay here, the staff were lovely and the hotel was well located.
2 bedroom apartment was a little dark, as the apartment's living room only had a window facing the internal atrium. Whilst we were there the hotel switched on its 'heating' for the winter months... this meant we were not able to use the air conditioning, which meant our room was overly warm at night. Whilst we were still able to sleep it would have been more comfortable if we had been able to use the air conditioning. We asked the hosts to turn on the air conditioning, but they were unable to do this for us, as the hotel's policy was to switch to heating during November. They did. however provide too small fans upon request, which did help us sleep more comfortably.

Cadiz is stunning - for us the perfect blend of layered deep history (from phoenecian via roman and moor to hispano-american), cafe culture and sea. It doesn't feel at all European (Latin America meets North Africa) and the El Almador Casa Palacios was the ideal place to stay. Almost an aparthotel, as the apartments are clustered round an elegant internal patio, with someone on a reception desk during the day. The apartment was very well-appointed and modern, with oven as well as hob for cooking, and a huge, excellent shower in a large bathroom. We liked the fact that there was an electronic keypad for entry to the building and apartment, rather than having to carry a key around. The situation is excellent, on one of the main pedestrianised shopping streets in the old town (but the sound insulation was first-rate) - there are cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and ice-cream parlours on the doorstep. La Caleta beach is 10 minutes walk away, perfect for early morning swims and watching the sunset, but we more often swam at Playa de Santa María del Mar, a half-hour walk through the old town, past the cathedral and along the promenade.
Nothing could have been better - this was the perfect place to stay in a wonderful city.

The location was excellent on probably the prettiest pedestrian street in Cadiz which has restaurants, 2 gelateria, etc. The windows' insulation is good so there is no real disturbance from street noise. It's lovely to look down on the street from the balcony. The entrance hall/reception area and the full height ceiling of the internal courtyard is stunning as per the photos. The deluxe studio apartment is very tastefully decorated and the kitchenette is equipped with everything one could need, including a washing machine! Conchi on reception gave us such a warm welcome and answered all the questions we had charmingly. She also sent advice ahead of our arrival regarding the best way to arrive by car (info for anyone driving). She recommended some good places for drinks and tapas. We loved the tapas at Manteca! From the hotel it's a quick walk to all places of interest in Cadiz's old town. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel in this charming town!
