We came by car and parked at first in the Railway Station Car Park, then walked to the hotel about 250 metres away. We had 2 hours free parking. Found the hotel and staff were very helpful in sorting out a spanish only car parking app which allowed us to use the nearby underground car park at a discounted rate. Car park staff helped activate the app and we were sorted. The cameras recognised the spanish registered car and we felt like royalty going in and out of the car park at will. Haven't had the bill yet, this went on my friends account... Back at the hotel and all's well. We had a 2nd floor street facing balconied room. Good street views, quiet at night. Comfy beds. Good showers, tv etc. Provided extra pillow without asking... the extra mile... I liked that. The location turned out better than I thought. It is close to the port, which definitely looks better by night than it does by day. The hotel is also close to the biggest square in town, which from 9am onwards, people gather for morning tea or coffee, something to start the day. Traders in the square are up and running, by mid morning the place is buzzing. The hotel is close to the oldest parts of town where things do happen in the evenings and nights. We did spend 3 hours in the massive maze of tiny streets one night, phone back at the hotel charging from their days of toil. It was amazing to find little local centres of activity, street bars, small squares, little shops, schools, hospitals, there all scattered around this maze, which at night time, after a thunder storm, was just so pretty...

I cannot say anything against the hotel, it's location, it's comfort... All good by me. Parking. That's the key and for peace of mind, you may have to take the hit on this one... There are people sleeping rough not far from the hotel. It must be said though, that everyone does appear relaxed in Cadiz. It does have a wide cross section of people living there, coupled with the visiting cruise ships and hotel occupants, Cadiz doesn't quite go to sleep at night, there's something for everyone.

I thought the location in the old town was perfect for accessing both the train/coach station. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions as to where to eat for a more local experience. The room was clean and bathroom facilities were suitable for me as a solo traveller. WiFi worked every time and connected automatically on returning to my room. Plenty of places to eat for breakfast and other meals on the doorstep and the tourist office just around the corner is open until 20.00 on weekdays at this time of the year.

I would have liked a small fridge in the room to keep drinks in so that they stayed cool.

Hostal Bahia is a great place in the old town of Cadiz. It is located in the heart of this amazing town. You could find many shops, bars, restaurants and attractions if you only get out the hotel's door. The seafront is also very close. The host was smiled and friendly although we arrived a bit late. The room was good, with its own facilities. The reception is 24/7. It was perfect stay for a night. I wished I could spend much more time in Cadiz. That would be a good resaon to come back some day.

I don't have any complaints.

Location was definitely the best part of our stay! We were in the heart of Cádiz old town with all bars and restaurants around us. The beach was also very near. Both receptionists were very nice and helpful and gave us tips where to park and were to have dinner and drinks. Really appreciated that!

I was expecting that someone would clean the room in the middle of the stay, but that didn't happen. Anyway, we didn't request that service.

Excellent location, beside main plaza in old area of the city. Walking distance to everything in the old area of town. staff was fantastic! Manuel could not speak English and our Spanish was lacking but he understood we needed to store our bags and promptly helped us with that. Had an elevator that worked, clean

strange that you could not flush toilet paper

Hard to beat location, walking distance to everything. Good A/C and wifi. Even a tiny lift!

They don't speak English. If by "city view" they mean "inner back yard", then yes, I had that. Bins dragged along the street outside at midnight, and loud drilling in the morning.

Great walkable location to the buses, train station and port. Very close to the central square and cathedral! lots of places to eat and drink nearby.

We didn’t do a huge amount of research and the Easter processions were very loud in the square so we heard them all night! The walls/ windows weren’t very sound proof but if you wore earplugs it’s fine.

Such a lovely cheerful welcome from the receptionist. The location is brilliant. It's near everything. Don't expect luxury. It is a Hostal. But it's clean, has a comfy bed, a good shower, it's quiet even though it's bang in the middle of everything, a stones throw from the bus/train station (9 mins on foot). When we come again we will stay here again. Its very reasonably priced.

We liked everything.
