Gara Hotel

Charming hotel , beautifully furnished, full of character and spotlessly clean. across the road from a fabulous natural rocky lava seafront . Continental breakfast was ample with plenty of choice . Hosts Miguel and Sonia were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, they gave us lots of information regarding places to visit , they recommended a local guide called Phillip who drove us around the north and west of Tenerife. We visited many wonderful places with magnificent views which would have been difficult to find without Phillips exceptional local knowledge. A day to remember for sure!

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel

Hotel was basic but comfortable. A little expensive for the type of room we had but a fantastic location in Garachico. Breakfast was good and sundeck overlooking the sea was nice when it was sunny.

Room we had, the bathroom was in the room with only a wall dividing it and had no ceiling so you have to have a very good relationship with your partner to go to the loo in the same room as them! The male owner was pretty gruff and not particularly friendly.

Astonishing view, rightly in front of the Ocean. Cosy rooms, most of the furnitures made of wood, floor included. Really comfortable beds. The common terrace and the small solarium, just over the patio of this ancient renewed building, are just amazing.

Finding the fridge in the bathroom was a little bit weird. Personally, I'd like to have more fresh fruit for breakfast.

The location is amazing, it reminded me a casa particular in Cuba. Placed exactly in front of the natural swimming pools (you can look at those from the terrace of the hotel), rooms are small but equipped wth everything. Common areas are perfectly arranged. Breakfast was super. Last but not least, all staff was nice, supportive and gave an answer and support to all my questions. I will for sure come back to Gara Hotel if I ever come back to Garachico.

The hotel so quaint and an ideal location

Nothing really it was beautiful and ideally located. Staff were very helpful. If I could on anything it would be the choice of cooked breakfast but there was plenty of other choice available.

Very pleasant welcome from the staff. This hotel is well located in Garachico. The breakfast, that you order the evening before is classic but worthwhile.

A lovely boutique hotel very tastefully converted from a merchant´s private house in 2009. Very friendly, welcoming staff, Very good breakfast. Altogether very relaxing. Will return for more!

By Tenerife standards 84e for a double room with breakfast is expensive, regardless of standards. Would like to see price concessions for pensioners ( we are in our eighties) and Canarian residents

great location, helpful staff, fabulous view from sun roof, good breakfast choices, clean and recently decorated

limited choice of ‘tapas’. The options were not really tapas .

Really characterful with beautiful and comfortable rooms. Great views from the terrace where it’s lovely to enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening.

Staff and owners were delightful.

We had nothing to complain. I would recommend this hotel to everyone again.
