A really nice, super clean place with everything you need to spend a great time. Apart from what is written in other reviews, I especially loved and appreciated the amount of information the owners put together to give you tips and advise on what to visit, where to eat, hot to get where, the detailed information on hiking trails, the maps and books about tenerife, etc. I have not seen this anywhere else sand I found it absolutely awesome! Also, the location is great as Buenavista del Norte has great bud connections to Teno, Punta de Teno, El Palmar, etc. it is very easy to start hikes or trips from here and the town itself is very cute! plus the coastal walk is stunning! Last but not least, the owners are exceptionally welcoming and will make it difficult to leave;) I highly recommend!

Tabaiba Guesthouse is the perfect location if you want to visit the beautiful Parque Rural de Teno and a strategic start point to visit Parque Nacional del Teide if you want to avoid the crowd and the tourist mess of Tenerife South. Buenavista del Norte is a small village but offers all you need: groceries, shops, restaurants and bars. The house is an ancient and typical canary building, renovated with care and love by the owners. The view from the rooftop is simply amazing and offers a gorgeous set when you want to chill out after a hike! Karin and Sergio are truly lovely guests: they warmly welcome their hosts and take care of them during the stay. I would definitely recommend Tabaiba if you're planning to visit Tenerife North and if you like outdoor activities.

Very comfortable hostel in a good location (5 min from bus station, less than 2 min from town center). The hosts are very friendly, helpful and flexible with concerns such as breakfast, taxi etc.; the breakfast itself is small in variety, but everything is of high quality. The town itself is lovely and a number of great hikes are easily accessible via public transport from here. The sun terrace is a great spot for relaxation.

The only potential negative are relatively thin walls/doors (hearing other guests arrive/leave/stay in the common areas) - not at all a problem while I was there, but if there's a full house, it might be noticeable.

Staying at the Tabaiba Questhouse was really great, I highly recommend to everyone. Karin was very nice host that prepared tasty breakfast in the morning (you can choose bread with ham, cheese, jams, cereals with yogurt or milk). Moreover there are free cookies all the time in the kitchen which you can use to cook for yourselve. The room was spacious enough, tidy and clean. We had our own bathroom and we could use also a hairdryer or clotheshorse. On the roof there is a nice terrasse with a view on the city and surrounding mountains. It is a great place where to stay when travelling to Parque Teno (Masca) and north of Tenerife. I can imagine to stay there longer and enjoy quiet small town atmosphere.

The only thing was a bit of a noise from the street. We had windows just next to the street where cars drived pretty fast so it made noise. Though no catastrophe.

A cozy and warm place to stay at. The room and bathroom were very clean. The guesthouse was the perfect location to start out from for many hikes due to its central location. Furthermore, Karin and Sergio were very kind hosts and gave us a lot of useful tips for hikes. Thank you for the wonderful stay and we will definitely come back one day!

The stay at Tabaiba Guesthouse exceeded our expectations, the hosts were very helpful and helpful. The en suite room was great. Room size perfect. Very quiet place. Parking in front of the house. Super terrace.

Great stay - Karin and Sergio were super welcoming, helpful and friendly. All the accomodation was clean and hygienic, you could feel in every detail the love Karin und Sergio put in all the details. Breakfast was possible even during Covid times with the necessary distance. I can definitely recommend doing a hike together with Sergio - he's super experienced and we had a great day out. It felt definitely like a home away from home - thanks for everything!

Sergio and Karin were were friendly and helpful hosts. The place was spotless and positioned closely to a lighthouse with amazing views.

The rooms cost a bit too much

Very nice and approchable hosts who care about you, cool terrace, nice town, good location within the city but also on the island to explore the Teno region.

Rooms rather small, had to send picture of PCR-test and ID on the night before (didn't expect that (never had to do that somewhere else), costs time and was a bit anoying).
