A nice concept, being a dry B&B. It’s a stay with a meaning and story behind it. The host James does everything in his power to make you feel at home and comfortable. The breakfast outside on the roof with a first row look at the Teide is great. Suzy who prepares the breakfast is also a nice person who can give you tips from the surround area as she is a local. The rooms are clean and comfortable, on the small side , tough everything is present for a good nights sleep 😴. (Be aware there are 2 (nice & quiet) dogs present at the B&B). A car is needed to arrive , location google maps provides is spot on, and you need parking skills 😉.

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Salvia in Icod, Tenerife, and I must say it was a truly splendid experience. The location, nestled in the mountains, offered breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature. The highlight of the stay, however, was the roof terrace, which offered a magnificent view of the mount Teide and nature. To top it off, James served an excellent breakfast on the terrace, which was the perfect start to each day of our stay. What's more, the B&B is conveniently located not far from natural pools, which were a major draw for us. The natural pools offered a unique and beautiful way to experience Tenerife's natural beauty, and it was well worth the visit. Last but not least, Nicolas, the resident dog, was a friendly and well-behaved companion during our stay. Having a pet around added to the overall warm and welcoming atmosphere of the B&B. We loved how this traditional Canarian house was renovated. Our favorite corner was the roof terrace, from where you could see Mount Teide on one side and the sea on the other. James and Gareth looked after us very well. We loved Gareth's dinners that he cooked for us (for a reasonable fee) when we came back from a day trip and didn't feel like going out to a restaurant. And we enjoyed spending time with James. It's in a great location where you can get almost anywhere in less than 1 hour so you can explore the whole island without having to move to another apartment. A big plus is that you can ask James or Gareth what to visit or where to eat, so you can make a plan during the breakfast they prepare for you.

The amazing terrace, the view to the south of the Teide and to the north of Tenerife’s “Almalfi” coast. Fantastic breakfast with the other guests on the roof, sampling great local cheeses & fresh (insecticide free) fruits and local specialities. Excellent host James, always ready to help (collected us from the local restaurant for example). The bed was very comfortable (after a week of trekking on La Gomera).

As many others have mentioned, you need a car, and you really need one with some power, to get up the pretty steep hill. Unless you can use a clutch very well (after stopping on the way up hill) I would suggest an automatic. The room that we had was quite basic without an outside window, but that is not as bad as it sounds as it was clean and comfortable and as mentioned, you will be on the amazing roof terrace for breakfast (or if weather does not permit, in the nice living room) anyway most of the time.

James is one of the most kind hearted people I have ever met. We felt very welcome and at home. He was always making sure that we had everything we needed. The room was very comfortable and clean with a nice shower and good bed/matras. Everything you could need for making dinner is there in the shared kitchen.The b&b is at an ideal location if you want to explore the mountains in the area around the b&b (as long as you have a car). We originally booked the b&b for 4 nights but we even extended our stay with an additional night because we felt like there was more to explore!

Nothing. Just know that having a car is pretty much essential when you would come here as a guest.

We spent just one night at Casa Salvia and it certainly exceeded our expectations from the beginning. The house is located in a rural area, with a lot of charm in which you can breathe peace. Ideal to relax and escape from the noise. The house itself is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. Room warm, clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Upon arrival, we were greeted by James, an exceptional man with whom we shared enjoyable talks. He made us feel at home at all times. The next morning, he prepared a delicious and complete breakfast for us, which we shared with a nice German family. We certainly did not want to leave! We would also like to thank you for your availability and your tips to get to know places in the surroundings. Due to the weather, we have not been able to enjoy the beautiful terrace, but we will definitely come back soon. We recommend it 100%. Many thanks for everything James! Raquel & Kristjan

For us, the location was ideal as we like to be away from the main tourist centres. James made us very welcome and we felt very at home. He was very accommodating with regard to breakfast needs and times. On the day of departure our flight wasn't until the evening and we were able to stay until later in the day which was very helpful.

The house is really beautiful and the terrace is amazing - you can see both Teide and sea from here! Room was very nice, clean and well equipped. James is very kind, friendly and helpful person. He prepared lovely breakfasts for us and was ready to help us with anything. It took around 15-20minutes to get to beautiful towns such as Garrachico or Los Silos.

James was super nice and hospitable host. The location was excelent for the exploration of north of the island and also with the great view on Teide and ocean from sunny terrace.There was always really nice breakfast with lots of options. Next time in Tennerife we will visit again.
