Hotel Monte Ulia

Friendly receptionist who explained all about San Sebastian and provided a map. Good bus service with stops on both sides of the road about 50 m from the hotel. The #13 service was on a circular route to and from the city (10 minutes max.), so there were no problems locating bus stops. Lots of private parking at the hotel, well off the road. Good wifi and roomy balcony with table and chairs. Plentiful breakfast. Fabulous city to explore.

Hotel is located on a busy road but traffic was quiet overnight, with additional shutters over double-glazed windows.

A great advantage of the accommodation is its own parking. It was possible to get to the city centre by public transport, which was made possible by the very friendly and helpful staff of the hosts. At this price with parking it is hard to find another place here in St Sebastian.

As for the location. It was very difficult to find a place for dinner at "our" time - i.e. between 17:00-19:00. The restaurants in the city centre were rather "tourist" oriented and a bit too expensive for our taste.

The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable there was everything you need for an overnight stay after a long journey The reception staff are there 24 hours which is good for a late check in. They were polite and helpful and recommended somewhere to eat late at night. I would highly recommend this property and we will be staying again. There is a very good sized car park in the hotel grounds and the location was great very close to shops and the waterfront.

Chise this hotel on my way to Madrid, important criteria were good parking possibilities and quiet. The room was as described, comfortable bed and pillow, decent de oration, quiet, clean, good shower and heating. TV and a small fridge in the room. 24/7 front desk. Top parking and a nice coffee about 150 m away. Not central but very nice and in my case met its purpose fully with excellent price. Recommended for a longer stay.

I spent 3 weeks here, it's a wonderful place! Quiet pleasant area, easy access to the ocean or the center by foot, by bus or by car/bicycle. Very clean in room, everything in good condition and very friendly staff. As a bonus - nice terrace with singing birds! Would love to stay here again;)

A bit poor variety at breakfast, but tasty and complete. In any case, there are cafes and restaurants within walking distance, and food delivery.

A nice hotel with a big car park which was the reason that I booked it. Exceptional value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is only a 20-30 minute walk to the Old Town, no need to take the train. San Sebastian is a wonderful little city well worth a visit.

The road that the hotel is on is on a busy road in to San Sebastian. If you are a light sleeper you may hear some road noise. Other than that all good,

Had a fantastic stay - the staff were wonderful, housekeeping were exellent, the room was comfy with air conditioning, it's LGBT friendly, and the breakfast was yummy. Excellent value for money as a young broke couple looking to enjoy San Sebastian!

If you're a light sleeper bring ear-plugs or headphones, as some fellow guests can be loud in the early hours

The staff was wonderful and flexible, they were very accommodating to our wishes and requests. The location is not central, but there is a bus stop right at the hotel, and walking to the center is also ok.

Some of the furnishings and surfaces are a bit worn, and there is also some dust on the ceiling fans that do not invite turning them on. The rooms with balconies are nicer than the rest (we assume), as there are some rooms on ground level.

Good hotel and rooms. Staff very friendly and gave us good recommendations. Parking was an added bonus and in the centre its very difficulty. Location is slightly outside of town (20 minute walk). Walk or bus was easy and its conveniently located next to the bus stop - No.13 (ran on a loop and this took you to the old town. It ran regularly (every 10 mins) and was only 1.85 euros - accepted card too).
