Breakfast was good. Luis (reception) was very welcoming and extremely helpful with local knowledge. Good room size with air con and a nice big private terrace. Lovely quiet pool. High quality bathroom and shower. Complimentary cold drinks in room fridge very welcome. Nice and quiet and easy routes walking or via multiple buses into the centre and beaches. 24 hr complimentary hot drinks in reception.

Would have been good to have a bath in the room at that price point. Mattresses not the most comfortable but looked like a load of new ones arrived on our departure day. Would be nice to swim before breakfast but pool doesn't open until 10:00 and breakfast finishes at 10:30.

What can I say, this hotel was just perfect. Staff were fantastic looking after our bags as we arrived early. We had a beautiful room with plenty of space. The bed was so comfortable we had the best nights sleep! A surprise bottle of champagne for our honeymoon was a lovely welcome gesture. The heated infinity pool was an absolute treat. There is a coffee machine in the lobby which you can use at anytime and it makes a really nice coffee. The hotel is a little out of the centre, although not far at all. It only took us 15 minutes to walk into the main part where the restaurants are. Also a very short walk to the beach. We loved San Sebastián so much and can’t wait to come back.

Thank you for a very pleasant stay at Villa Eugenia in May 2023, we enjoyed it greatly. We found the hotel and our room to be well furnished, well maintained and ultra clean. All facilities and travel essentials were provided and included the free mini bar and tea / coffee in the hotel lounge. All the staff were courteous and friendly, giving us useful advice on how to enjoy our stay in San Sebastián. A major bonus was the availability of the hotel garage parking, a facility not offered in a lot of alternative accomodation we viewed. In addition, street parking is difficult to find due to high traffic congestion. We liked the location of the hotel, just outside the busy town centre and an easy 15 - 20 minute walk away. Many restaurants, cafés and bars can also be found in the local area. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Villa Eugenia.

We found nothing disagreeable

I've travelled to more than 50 countries and this might actually be the best experience I've ever had at a hotel. The villa was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very friendly and spoke perfect English (my Spanish is unfortunately not great) and the facilities was light and clean. My room was amazing, big and clean and it had a wonderful view of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge and equally clean. I absolutely loved my room. I also spent some time at the pool in the afternoon which was also a nice experience. The villa is located on the other side of the old town but it's a nice walk, it took me about 20 minutes to reach the old town and the beach. Walking back at night felt safe. Also, this side of the city seemed to be more quiet which I enjoyed a lot. I opted to have breakfast at cafés in the city so I cannot comment on the breakfast, I did however get a decent breakfast at cafés in the city to a lower price than the cheapest option at the villa. All in all, I really loved my experience at the Villa Eugenia Boutique Hotel and if I go back to San Sebastian I will definitely book the same accommodation - if it's available. MUCHAS GRACIAS :)

I guess the breakfast could've been cheaper or even included in the price, but it's not something that mattered much to me. I loved my experience here.

Location was great in the Gros neighbourhood, lots of little breakfast places and quieter than the main areas. The guesthouse was beautifully decorated and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - they were amazing. The room was big, quiet and clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable.

The 'honesty bar' was always locked and there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room, so bring your own travel kettle if you want a tea in the room before venturing out into the public. Having said that the big coffee machine downstairs made very nice coffee.

The rooms were spacious and clean. Complementary mini bar and free bottles of water. Coffee/Tea making facilities in the lobby. Above all the staff were fabulous, couldn't be more helpful and all their recommendations on what to see, restaurants etc were spot on.

The main drawback is the location which is a solid 20 minute walk from the old city where all the attractions/restaurants are. The Hotel is located in what appeared to be a residential area and no shops etc in the immediate vicinity. We like walking so it did not bother us but it may some people.

The room and the bathroom are spatious, the staff is very kind. There are many details that were taken care of - free mini bar in the room, free teas and coffees in the lobby, umbrellas, two levels of handrails! And toilet brush is also good to have (as it seems to be disappearing from many hotels nowadays). The decor is overall very nice. We loved the cheese cake served for breakfast. compliments to the chef :-)

Beautiful Hotel, exquisite decor, very modern. Whole experience was wonderful, bit of luxury for 4 nights! Such a quiet location, room very quiet, our room was next to the lift which thought might be noisy but never heard it!! Best comfortable bed ever, and best shower EVER!! All staff from reception to the cleaners very friendly and courteous! Annie met us on arrival, very helpful and knowledgeable of the area and gave many suggestions. Manuel a sweetie at breakfast serving :) All photos on Booking.com are a true reflection.

Nothing, either way you walked it was near to all attractions! Nothing to do with the Hotel but don't bother with hop on/hop off bus it never showed up!! :(

Villa Eugenia Boutique Hotel is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in San Sebastian but only a 15 to 20 minute walk from the Old City where all the restaurants and shopping are located. A huge plus is their onsite parking - be sure to make a reservation for a space. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and quiet and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious with lots of variety. We enjoyed walking and exploring the area - even rode the funicular to the top of Monte Igueldo where you will experience beautiful views. We highly recommend staying at Villa Eugenia Boutique Hotel - you will not be disappointed.

The hotel was really nice with lots of attention to detail, attentive staff, spacious rooms, beautiful decor, daily cleaning and an amazing pool area. It was in a good location - 5 mins walk to bars/restaurants in Gros and 15 mins walk to old town which you could walk down the beach to get to. Complementary mini bar drinks and tea/coffee. Reception share recommendations and lend you a brolly if it’s raining. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

The breakfast could have had more options and been better value for money.
