The hotel is small, but nice and cosy. Marisa as La Dueña is very supportive and forthcoming regarding information and tips and hints, even with my level of spanish speaking ;-) The location is nice, halfway up north of Las Palmas, in a quite neighbourhood. Bus stations (1,12,2,22,25) are near and provide good north-south connections. There is also a nice beach (without bars etc) just ca 200m away, for a quick dip in the cool sea. My room 7 was on the top floor of the house, with a terrassa to have a light pre-dinner spanish style in the early evenings. The room also had working air condition, which was needed to get the room temperatures to a sustainable level.

Nothing... I missed a parasol for my terrasa... turns out I should have just asked.

The hotel was in a perfect location, close to the beach. Only 30 mins to the airport which the owner Marisa gave us details of prior to our departure from the UK and also said that if you require any other information, do not hesitate to contact her. We were greeted at the gate at arrival, easy check in and then shown to our roof top terrace room which was an amazing space. The room was cleaned on a daily basis and excellent light breakfast was provided. The hotel is in easy reach of the local bus services amd Old Town within walking distance of 40-50 minutes. Nothing was too much trouble in fact they would go out of their way to help you. We decided to have cheese and wine on the terrace one evening and on arrival back from our day out, glasses, bottle opener and chocolates had been delivered to our room. The owner has a beautiful hotel and maintains high standards and also she a warm personality and again nothing is too much trouble. We definitely recommend her boutique hotel. Muchas gracias Marisa.

There was nothing we didn't like apart from the fact we had to leave.

We spent 2 nights at the Palmera hotel boutique, we were well received and well advised by Marisa who took the time to recommend places to visit in Las Palmas. The hotel is very well located, several shops, restaurants and cafes nearby, 20 min walk from Playa de Las Canteras and 15 min by bus from the old town. The room was clean and well equipped with the addition of a small terrace. Marisa offered us free coffee and left the room for us the day of our departure until the arrival of our taxi which she took care to call for us. We had a great stay and recommend the hotel without hesitation!

A really warm welcome from Marisa who checked us in, the room was a good size with comfy bed, immaculate shower room and a balcony. The property was between old town and new, in a very pleasant (and quiet) residential street. Most of the sights of Las Palmas were a walk, or short bus ride away. My wife also received a kind gift as our stay coincided with her birthday.

Remember to switch on and watch out for WhatsApp messages… Don’t bother with a car unless you plan to see more of the island.

Just back from our first visit to Gran Canaria and we couldn't have picked a more beautiful hotel to stay at. Marisa is the perfect host. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was perfect and great value for money. Lovely quiet Hotel but with in walking distance to a beautiful beach one way and the lovely historic Old Town the other. Marisa even arranged the airport transfers for us. Everything was perfect!

Nothing to dislike.

Top quality small cosy hotel in a quiet suburban area, located between historical old town and Las Canteras. Local bus stop to old town five minutes away. Super hosts, full of helpful information. The room was well equipped and very clean, beds really comfortable, excellent shower. Taxi for airport transfer arranged by hotel. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. Garry & Gina

Nothing to dislike.

I highly recommend this hotel-boutique. The hotel room was very clean and cozy. The AC was also great. Marisa and her niece were so kind, welcoming and helpful. They gave us great recommendations on what to see like the historical part of town and the famous beach and boardwalk. Their recommendations made it easier for us to organize our stay. The hotel was well located, as we could walk to the attractions or take a quick 10 minute taxi cab. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. I loved the garden in the backyard. I wish we could have stayed longer at this hotel, but, I would definitely come back for the next time! Thank you for making our stay extra special

Excellent location in a quiet residential street within walking distance of the old town, beaches and bus stations, and just 5 minutes walk from restaurants by the yacht harbour. Marisa was so helpful and could not have been a better host. Lovely decor, and I would recommend a room with a balcony.

A very warm welcome from the owner. The location is in a quiet residential area just 1 street back from the main roads. Near the marina and you can walk to Las Canteras or the Historical area. Room with balcony was a bonus. Nice to sit out. Smart TV for a movie night. Great coffee available in the lounge. Marisa answered all questions very quickly and we were well looked after. Las Palmas is a great city and La Palmera felt like a home from home.

Would have been nice to have tea and coffee in the room. However, we could make coffee in the lounge and take it to our room. Really that is the only area for improvement I can suggest.

The most amazing little hotel in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. The room was very cozy and very clean. Marisa is the best hostess ever, so kind and always ready to help. We loved staying there and we will be back for sure!
