Hostal Far Home Plaza Mayor

The location was perfect for wandering central Madrid. All facilities were clean and in great condition. There were plenty of bathrooms which were kept exceptionally clean for a hostel! Check-in was easy, staff were lovely, and it was incredibly affordable.

We liked the hostel for the central location its easy to walk to attractions. Round the corner from the hostel is a Lidl Supermarket. The hostel is opposite the Museum of Illusions which is worth a visit. Across the road from the hostel is another hidden jem where they sell street food from various vendors. Uber is very handy in Madrid to get around if needed and not to expensive. The Hostel was very clean and tidy, The hostel is located on the 4th and 5th floors but has lift for easy access. Reception staff very helpful they gave us fresh towels after few days. The Kitchen area has Microwave,Kettle,Toaster if required and seating. The Toilets/Showers were very clean and kept to high standard. We enjoyed our time in Madrid and enjoyed the Palace and The Prado Museum. Thank to all staff at Home Plaza Mayor for looking after us and a big thank you to BOOKING.COM for the free taxi to the hostel on arrival.

Hot Water sometimes not available in mornings due to lots of people having showers. Madrid very busy but expected due to be a Captial City. Going Home After A Excellent Trip!!!

The AC was nice and the bed was comfortable. Perfectly in the city center so that you were able to go everywhere by foot or metro. The room was very very small and there weren't enough hangers for clothes but if you don't have much stuff it's okay and comfy

The room smelled a little humid and the shared bathrooms were not the cleanest but for 2 nights okay. It was relatively quiet at night/early mornings but it depends on the people who are there. A little expensive for this quality

The location was in the centre of the city. The whole place was insanely clean. On the other hand, there are very nice and interesting people.I would love to come back here whenever I am in Madrid.

he room was smaller than what we thought, the TV was broken, but still worked, yet it was amazing.

Best location, friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms with all necessary facilities and equipment.

Room was a bit cold because of aircons at the beginning but we asked the staff, and they kindly switched it off. And there are sharing bathrooms maybe not so convenient until one get used to))

Cheap and cheerful. Excellent within the limits of its class. Friendly staff, very, very clean and quiet -on the inside, anyway.

I didn't mind, but you may want to be aware that it's located right near to a lovely square that can be a bit noisy at night.

Cleanest Hostal visited in 13 years of travel. Bed was very comfortable and WiFi extremely good. Easy check in and check out.

The refrigerator space was pretty limited and a few more coffee mugs would help. Really nothing to really complain about.

Great location! And the staff was very helpful lending me a coffee machine from the main area.

Quiet time at 11pm and the walls are very thin, even for doing work calls (to Canada in early am hours) I was concerned to disturb the neighbours.

The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was shared by the rooms in the hall but were kept tidy and clean. The small kitchen (kettle, fridge, microwave, utensils/plates) was very handy. The location was fantastic, close to walking distance of major attractions and the metro.

The location is exceptional, near many touristic places and a metro station. The facilities were clean and the lady at the reception was very friendly. This is my second time staying at Far Home Plaza Mayor and though they no longer include breakfast, it was just as great. I’ll be staying here every time I’m in Madrid.
