Hostel MYD La Latina

The staff were really nice, I spilt a drink on the bed & the receptionist changed the sheets without a problem. The lady at the breakfast bar was really nice & helpful. The beds had a privacy curtain and rooms were not overcrowded. The location is great with good transport links . Breakfast is a bonus & was fine

My only criticism would be that the door codes change every day or so & there wasn't any communication to let me know the new code I was locked out a few times, the last been quite stressful as it was on my day of travel. Secondly the shower kept overflowing water which went o to the room. The bathroom needs a lock, especially as it's a shared mixed dorm room.

The breakfast is not first class, very basic but good coffee, tea chocolate, toast, bread, rolls butter, jam and FREE. All the staff at the hostel and reception are pleasant and competent. The receptionists are all young men with good common sense, helpful...especially Ari and Cristian. They deal intelligently with people, very good manners and customer service.

Since the lady from the reception left, the new staff seems to have forgotten how to treat people. I asked whether it was possible to get a lower bed as it was an empty bed below the one I was assigned to and they told me it was already assigned. No one used it in my entire stay.

Very close to everything. Only walking distance to the main city centre. Pretty comfortable and good that each bed had its own curtains. Staff were very friendly and let us sit in reception out of the sun when we were early.

We were in the middle of a heat wave so it was very very hot. No air conditioning in the room, only a fan which wasn’t enough throughout the day. Shower was a little bit smelly

They let me put the bike in the dormitory, there's a common area and you can buy snacks even beer which is convenient. Wifi is strong, proximity to the center and the train station which make it a strategic position.

No air in the bathroom and dormitory. Very small dormitory packed with people. The curtains are nice tho. The bathroom really small too. I slept one night without pillow. They did not inform me that the pillow was in the locker, and was too tired to ask, be aware. The code is making some noise that could be avoided.

The room was big and air-conned. We had a comfortable, private double room. Good location. Useful bag storage after check-out which the staff were very helpful with. Overall would recommend!

There was no breakfast included eventhough we had selected that option on booking.com. Someone stole our items from the communal fridge. No kitchen.

Obviously, having to share the room & sleeping in a bunk, but nothing beats the convenience of sleeping at this place Also the chattery neighbor in the street at ~ 6 am 😂

The staff are super friendly. They smile all the time and are always helpful with any queries or guide required. The facility is clean and they even gave us free buffet breakfast. Amazing value for the very affordable price you are paying for. Highly recommended to any traveller looking for a good hostel in the city centre of madrid.

This is my second time here and there are a good improvements happened: 1- The name and the logo of the hostel is written outside so everyone can see the door now, before it was hard to find it. 2- Check-in can be online now its simple and easy. 3- The automatic light inside the rooms now better, before when someone move inside the room all lights are turned on so it was hard to sleep, but now its solved just the light in the entrance turned on and the rest are closed. 4- As always very clean everywhere in this hostel in the rooms and bathrooms. 5- You can ask for the blanket and towel for free. 6- You can bring your own badlock for the locker or rent from them. The locker is good and safe. 7- Before i had a little bit difficult with my English language, but now the women who work there was talking in English very well with me. Also when i was waiting for the Check-in, she told me to wait until the other worker come and she gave me a free coffee to wait, that was amazing she care about the guests.
