Petit Palace Lealtad Plaza

This hotel is located in very quiet and safe area, 2 minutes from the huge park. The room we stayed was big enough for 3 people, and had lovely lights through the windows. People at the reception were very kind, friendly and flexible. The person who was at the breakfast was also very thoughtful and kind. The breakfast was very good with a lot of fresh fruits.

Only thing I would say is the key. The room key didn't work sometimes. I wasn't sure if there was something to do with the card or the key on the door. But it was a bit annoying as we had to try many times to open the door, and also had to go down to the reception to reactivate. Other than this, I have nothing to say!

Comfortable and beautiful interior and well appointed rooms. Breakfast has very good selection of food.

Shower floor is quiet slippery and can be dangerous if one is not careful. A simple non-slip bath mat could be provided. Door key was defective and had to always get reception to re-configure. Seems to be an issue with the Petit Palace chain of hotels. About time the owners do something about this issue. It’s 2023 and technology has advanced to such point that it should now works.

This hotel is amazing for the price I paid. The rooms were spacious, wifi was fast, and breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had. The hotel was close to Retiro park and to many of the museums we were going to visit, I enjoyed walking to many of points of interests in Madrid. It was near a main road but off to the side so it was quiet but close enough to main road to catch a taxi if needed. The rooms were spacious enough for 4 adults. We had the bunk bed with two twins. We were able to fit all of our suitcases and still have room to relax in the room. There were only positive things to say about this hotel. I would book again if I return to Madrid.

The location is superb being within a 5 minute walk of the major galleries, museums and the beautiful retiro park. The road was remarkably quiet so we were able to have the balcony window open at night rather than air con. The room was the one featured on the website, a generous size with high ceilings, a pretty fireplace feature and a lovely balcony. Shower room was excellent - just not sure about purple shower tray and ceiling in here! Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of foods and we’ve never met such a happy breakfast manager as Gabriel who was delightful, helpful and never seemed flustered no matter how many people turned up at once!

The room could have been very slightly cleaner (I noticed some dust on the tall skirting boards where I put my shoes) but this is minor!

Staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful if they tried. Hotel location was very good for anyone wanting to visit the Thyssen or Prado etc, and just a short walk from the city centre and Retiro Park. Room well equipped and cleaning was good. No external windows but a/c worked well.

Major grievance was the beds - two singles when we had booked a double. Whilst that is common practice, these beds might as well have been on castors the way that they slid around the room and the mattresses slipped on the bases Having gone to bed with the beds pushed together, we woke up a few hrs later with a 40cm gap between them. Also, bedding was an unusual cobination/configuration and consisted of base sheet, then a second sheet, duvet (no cover) and then a final top sheet. Combined with the mobile beds and mattresses this meant you spent the night trying to avoid ending up like an Egyptian mummy! A minor issue is the lack of a bar or restaurant and the fact that the room service as presented on the menu related to the generic hotel chain and not this particular hotel.

I'm a big fan of Petite Palace Hotels. This was the first time at Petite Palace Lealtad, for sure it's not the only one. The location is excellent, near Paseo del Prado and all the museums nearby. The beautiful Parque El Retiro is just a 2 minutes walk. Petite Palace Lealtad is very clean as all I've visited. The reception is awesome, Ray, Inaki, Alejandra were like family to us. Pending of every detailed to make us feel like home. We recommend the breakfast, variety of food, taste and display exceeded our expectations. Laura, the waitress is a sweet loving girl that made us feel like home. Thank you Pablo, general manager, for your politeness and courtesy with us. Though we met at the last minute, it was nice meeting you. The room Quintuple with terrace was our favorite of all the rooms we've ever been before. The view, cleanliness and position of the room couldn't be better. Thank you to all the staff, especially Ray. This time at Petite Palace Lealtad will be kept in our hearts forever. Thank you

Not staying longer

This was an excellent, beautiful property. The location is so central, just beside Retiro Park. absolutely beautiful. The room and facilities so clean and well presented. 2 standouts - the wonderful hospitable staff and the gorgeous breakfast. Ray welcomed us with "this is your home from home" and from that moment it really was. Nothing too much trouble. always created with warmth, style and kindness. He is magnificent. the breakfast tasty and fresh. a little pricey but so worth it. we will definitely be back.

Excellent,excellent staff, very professional and helpful at every turn. Can’t recommend the hotel highly enough. Ray,in Reception, is an absolute gem. It’s his vocation and passion to make guests feel at home.Location very central, beside Prado museum and easy walking distance to several others. The main train station Atoche is a 10 minute walk away. Ray and Pablo individually recommended different restaurants and places to see- excellent excellent choices. Hotel breakfasts are a must.

The location, next to El Retiro, is fantastic. Its almost no noise during the night and you are on a walking distance to the centre. The interior is very beautyful, the staff is friendly and works pro active. And the room was amazing, I would love to live there.

We loved the location, the hotel design and the room itself. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were perfect. The managers were polite. I'd like to underline the work of Gabriel in the restaurant. He has great sense of humor and works superfast. We also used room service and loved the dinner.

The only thing is the door in the bathroom. Why is it glass? There's absolutely no use of it even if it didn't exist. You need to change the doors for normal ones.
