The hotel facilities including the exterior, pool areas, lounge and breakfast area were all very good and welcoming with good clean facilities and spaces.

We were disappointed at the lack of simple basic toiletries that one takes for granted in a modern holiday hotel. Reliance on one soap dispenser on the bath wall totally destroyed the perception and potential ambience of the hotel. Lack of a kettle and many of the other simple welcome facilities such as cups, tea and coffee added to this negativity There was however a fridge in the room although again no welcome water was provided.The bathrooms are a little dated but still very clean and acceptable.

The hotel is situated on the road to Mijas in a quiet residential area. It was a great stay and our hotel rooms were excellent with a nice view overlooking the pool. Everywhere was clean and well maintained. Meals are buffet style which worked well for us. A morning coffee after breakfast sitting on the lovely terrace was a treat. All of the staff we encountered were professional and helpful. It was an excellent choice of hotel from which to visit Mijas as it is only a short distance away. The hotel pool was lovely and provided relaxation after a morning exploring the area. It is an isolated hotel so wouldn't suit those who like lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Ilunion Hacienda was an excellent choice for our two night stay before travelling on to Ronda.

After reading some of the reviews we were concerned what some of the guests had said, at the reception the two young ladies were very helpful and polite our room was spotless and the most comfiest bed and pillows and plenty of bed linen , we had lunch in the bar that had out side tables our food was lovely and the waiter was very friendly and helpful in the evening we used the same place to eat we shared a pizza together and it was lovely and service good, we used the restaurant in morning and to be honest we could not find any fault with the choice of food that was served all fresh, so after our experience i would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nothing the property was lovely

The hotel is smart and fairly peaceful…No annoying music around the pool…although it’s on quite a main road so the traffic noise can be a little annoying when sunbathing in the garden. Nice pool. The room was nice & quiet tho and we had a great view over the pool & mountain & could see the sea to the side. The room was also spacious & clean. Nice bathroom, good shower. A good selection at the breakfast buffet. There is a carpark but it doesn’t belong to the hotel. We always got a space tho.

The noise from the road. It’s not constant but can be annoying. The garden has a lovely view but the hotel has nothing around it within walking distance. It’s midway up the hill between the beach & Mijas. There is a bus service tho. No kettle in the room.

We had a wonderful time staying here recently. Our room was larger than many rooms we stayed in during our 6 weeks of travelling. We were impressed by the fact that all 6 hotels in this chain, train and employ people with different abilities. Our interactions with all of the staff were positive and they were happy to assist with any requests. A wedding was scheduled for early evening but we were allowed to utilise all of the facilities while the staff were setting up. We liked being further out of the busyness of beaches of Malaga but a quick bus trip down or up to the beautiful hill town of Mijas.

This is a wonderful place for a quiet holiday so there is nothing we didn’t like. We just wish we stayed longer. Congratulations to Illunion, your guests appreciate and support your work in inclusiveness.

The vibe of the whole hotel is beautiful, quiet and calm. My room overlooked the mountains and was very peaceful. The breakfast was very good and very affordable, and the best and most important thing was that the hotel is 10/10 spotless - you can smell the cleanliness as soon as you walk through the door. You will not find one spec of dirt anywhere. You also have the bus outside the door, that is also a pro! Alternatively you can get a taxi for very cheap into town.

Nothing- I would say though, the walls are thin and from 8am you can not lie in. You will hear people talking in other rooms and also the cleaners outside the door hoovering other rooms.

Lots of choices for breakfast with items such as fried eggs and omelettes cooked freshly on request. Unfortunately no yoghurt or muesli/granola. All areas of the hotel were kept really clean. Réception staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Well equipped gymnasium and super swimming pool. Great to see practices of environmental awareness.

The layout in one part of the restaurant lacked suitable ambience for evening dining and felt more of a canteen atmosphere. Saying that the food and presentation was very very good.

When we arrived our room was not ready. We asked if we could have the choice of another room. The reception were extremely helpful and gave us a room on the front of the hotel with a beautiful view. The rooms are very simple but very clean. We loved the outside area beside the pool and the pool itself was excellent, salt water which was wonderful. The staff were alway busy keeping the garden and the interior in excellent order.

To be honest, I can not fault the hotel and its facilities. It is not a five star but we did not expect that. The breakfasts were a little disappointing, maybe fresh eggs cooked on demand. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so can not comment on the evening meals.

From start to finish our stay was amazing! The facilities were wonderful, and there were plenty of sunbeds available! Breakfast and dinner were great, and good value for money....there was a huge selection of food to suit every taste. The whole feel of the hotel was lovely, and people got to know each other well. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite at all times....a special thank you to the animation team (Henrique and Paula) who made our stay so much fun! Thank you everyone for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!

The beautiful courtyard to sit in for lunch and then a drink in the evening. The fabulous pool with ease of access. The new seats in the dining room and eggs to order for breakfast, organised by Angela. The friendliness of the staff and meeting one of the Illunion pin ups - Juan Carlos and reminiscing about the improvements made over the years. The lovely demeanour of the animation team member who encouraged the guests to take part in daily activities. I think he was called Antonio he is from Portugal.

The new draught tonic which spoiled the taste of the gin.
