As other reviews have stated the food is great. Sometimes with all inclusive it can be a gamble but rest assured there's tasty food options for all including a nice salad bar. The staff are friendly and location is perfect. The beds are also very comfortable and the hotel is pleasantly clean. I've stayed in others in Gran Canária and hopefully if we come back we will be using the Abora Catalina again.

Unfortunately the pool near our room was under construction which is just bad timing on our side but there were others to use which was fine. The only real complaint is that we wish the pool was open later than 6.

i like a hotel.It was very clean and room was amazing.The food was very tasty and it was a lot and plenty different options .My child likes swimming and mini disco which it was every single day.I also like the staff from a reception.It was very helpful and from restaurant.This is big hotel and you are able to wake around evening.I like a kettle in my room, we had good quality shower gel and shampoo in the room and clean towels every single day.The plenty small shops and bars around the swimming.It is very close to the big shopping centre and Natural Reserve Dunas de Maspalomas so you can walk 3 min from the Hotel.I like club for kids and it looks like lovely but my child didn’t want to stay in.I like the people from the bar downstairs and special this older gentleman which make good drinks.

I don’t like that is quite far to the beach around 10 min and the view from a room which we had for few palms and noice swimming.We had fun because a lot people went to put towels to the sun bed morning around 8.00 am and when you went evening, we didn’t have chance to got one .We don’t care because we like going around but if you like time just in hotel is difficult.Although It was a billiard you had payed.€1 .The hotel was quite expensive so I don’t like that you have to pay deposit for towels.It is very big hotel.

cleanliness and the location is really close to the dunes but also near Yumbo center. I was there for summer pride 2022 and the parade actually started from there.

the staff was really strict about visitors to the room, even during the day citing their concern for my safety, which is full of crap.

Breakfast was very varied and always to a high standard as were all the meals and a different theme each night. Always to a high standard. The entertainment team were simply outstanding, my kids honestly loved them and they put their heart and soul into everything they did- starting at 11 in the morning with aqua aerobics to making smoothies and laughing joking and getting to know everyone. Each evening there was a children’s disco which my kids would devour their dinner in order to not miss it followed by an amazing show all created by this team. I can’t give them enough praise. All the staff go above and beyond, the kitchen chefs and staff work tirelessly as do the cleaning staff. Our room was cleaned first thing each morning. The bar staff work so hard and clean and pick up glasses serve cocktails and ensure everyone gets a seat. There is food laid on non stop, from the start of the day with breakfast, lunch, all day pool snacks then dinner, You will not be disappointed by your stay at this hotel. We will definitely be back Thank you so much for such a fabulous family holiday

The pool can be a bit busy but only at certain times and unless you got down early for beds it could be tricky to get them together but we were a family of 6.

Excellent facilities, good location a short stroll away from the Maspalomas dunes viewpoint. The room was spacious, well lit and clean. The pool areas are connected with a path running through patios, ponds and benches. Meal options were great throughout the day and food of good quality.

As other reviewers said, a lot of the sun chairs need maintenance. My only other gripe is that some of the drinks were not included in the all-inclusive fare. I haven't visited a lot of all-inclusive resorts but where I did, everything was included. The bar by the pool wouldn't serve me a coffee, they suggested instead I used the auto machine by the side. Smoothies were also chargeable.

Property was clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was fresh and varied. Cleanliness was very impressive, tables and sides washed down constantly. Close to the town and beaches.

Abruptness of staff member, which I’m told is likely a language barrier issue, but body language reaffirmed the intention of the abruptness. Otherwise no other issues with staff. The stairs to reach upper floors on arrival were problematic and I spent some time assisting some elderly ladies lift their cases up the stairs. Needs to be a map available to assist people to navigate 2 lifts and a walk through the pool area to avoid stairs.

Snackbar had good opening times and you could always have pizza, hotdogs, burgers, chicken nuggets, olives, salads and sandwiches - even if you missed breakfast or lunch or dinner. Nobody complained if you took food and drinks from the snackbar to your room and enjoyed them on your balkony. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Cosmetic salong at the pool was a bonus, so I could have pedicure done there. Also massage salong was there, but since they have only one very good therapeut there, appointments are difficult to arrange. The game room for children was very good, well equipped. I liked the size of our room - it was big enough for 3 adults(on of our children is 19) and 1 child (8-years).And we had enough storage for 6 suitcases. The buffet was sufficient for us - I liked that they had 3 fish options every meal and we eat mostly that + seafood for dinner. The child and 19-years old boy were also satisfied with the meal options.

Nothing to criticize but only 2 improvements could be recommended - a bit better equipment for the gym - a barbell would be good (given the space they have it would fit there). To hire more therapeuts for the massage - I would like to book an appointment fllexibly every day during my holidays. The amount of quests is so high, that therapeuts would surely have job there. Mojitos were to sweet :) less sugar would be recommended for the other coctails as well. There should be at least on properly heated pool or jaccuzi - water in december was too cold for me. Although that is subjective - I saw many people and kids enjoying them.

As for the kitchen staff. The food was really nice and so fresh. So much to choose from. .. Next onto the rooms. Have to say they are really clean and tidy. We were never without clean towels amd the cleaners always mopped the floors and changed the bins on time. The location is really good as it is only a ten min walk to the beach. Maybe they could do some veggie chicken (quorn) options as my partner is a vegetarian. She was confined to chips rice and pizza. Also we would have to microwave the food as it was just tepid.. But yes we understand it is buffet food Also we could may e do with a double bed as I nearly fell between them a few times 🤦

very good location ,nice and clean ,really good for families ,entertaining was awesome every night ,even kids loved it , those young guys and girls are really good what they doing ,really funny and the way they try to make everyone to enjoy their holiday playing singing dancing it’s amazing , they are playing with children all they no matter what age , they always smiling brilliant team ,without them our stay would not be a same good as it was ! Food was also great plenty of choices.

Water could be a warmer even if is just in kids pool but robe honest kids still went in there . Definitely heated pool for kids would proved .

I had an all inclusive and actually I felt really pleased with it. I really appreciated the self-service machines for water, beer, wine and soft drinks, really great! There were sandwiches and sweets available as a late snack which was great I thought as well. I like that one can go and just pick up things and do not have to deal with bartenders. The room was great, spacious, cleaned very well everyday, literally 0 problems with that.

The gym was supposed to be good, but it is not. It is not a real gym, rather a gym room with some free weights and 2 threadmills, that's it.
