Amazing hotel in beautiful Santiago de Compostela. The room was quite large, new and very clean

1. The breakfast had no hot vegetarian food. All hot food was bacon, sausage and eggs. When I asked about vegetarian food I was told that I could have fruit. Come one people and 2023 and vegetarians exist and eat more than just fruit. When I told the waitress should couldn’t have seemed more disinterested. I ended up having to eat just toast and a couple of pastries. 2. The cleaning staff on a Monday morning before 9 a.m. were outside the door of our room carrying conversation quite loudly and making a lot of noise. They were carrying on like it was in the afternoon completely ignoring that there may be people sleeping from a late arrival the night before or simply that do not wan to hear their conversation.

The location was very good, right in the centre of Santiago de Compostela. Also the staff were very helpful and attentive.

When compared to the prices of the Albergues the price is very high. The Cafe was only open from 7pm, so there was no communal area to relax with a drink.

The location of the hotel was unbeatable so close to old town and a few minutes walk from the cathedral. The room was beautiful and the hotel was immaculately clean. We were given a room in the tower with fantastic views of the cathedral. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I would definitely stay here again. It was just across the street from the tours pick up point so perfect!

There was nothing at all to dislike We had read all reviews and decided this was the hotel for us.

The front desk staff were excellent & gave us great recommendations for restaurants. Wonderful location next to Parque de Alameda. Comfortable beds & quiet room. Good breakfast buffet. We liked the coffee machine at the buffet, especially for making your own cortados or café con leche. Good massage menu for those of us who needed some TLC after the Camino!

Rooms are a bit dated. Floors were heavily scratched & bathrooms showed wear & tear. Amenities are few & far between. No Kleenex, no conditioner...only a shampoo/body soap combo in shower.

The room was spacious and well laid out with plenty of storage space, the bathroom facilities were excellent and the location of the hotel was perfect. The dining room was attractive with plenty of choice for breakfast.

Athough I'd emailed the hotel to request a taxi to meet us at the airport, and gave our flight details, no-one was there when we arrived. Fortunately, we were able to catch a bus to Plaza Galicia, which wasn't too far from the hotel.

Room was fairly basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size and there was enough surface space for two wash bags and their contents. We had a room at the back of the hotel which didn’t have much of a view but was fairly quiet and we had a good nights sleep. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Location is fantastic, we just had to cross the road and we were in the old town and also close to the shops in the more modern part of town. We didn’t eat in the hotel as there were loads of restaurants and cafes nearby.

Nothing that I didn’t like apart from the corridor on our floor had an odd smell but the bedroom didn’t so it wasn’t really a problem.

The location is centrally located and easy to get to. The hotel facility is lovely--the original wood floors by the elevators and the stairs is stunning and in perfect condition. I walked the Camino de Santiago, so I was very happy to get a foot massage on the premises! The breakfast variety was very good and the staff was helpful and friendly. Lastly, the room was well appointed, lovely linens and clean.

I can't think of anything!

The room was clean and a good size. The location is excellent for sightseeing, restaurants, and close to the Cathedral. The staff were professional and friendly. The shower and bathroom had a bath also. Great for tired tourist bones.

There were some steps in reception which were hard to maneuver with a heavy case. Looks lovely from a design point of view but not practical. A little noisy with the windows open as there was a festival on . But this would apply to any city with an event going on. It was my third time to stay there and I would go again .

The hotel location is perfect for accessing the centre of the town quickly, from the attractions to the airport and train station. The room and hotel were well kept, comfortable and good value for money, that includes the breakfast too. Most of all the staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help with advice.

There is nothing negative to say about the hotel.

The location is excellent but definitely not car-friendly. The hotel is historic & quirky and a tad confusing. The series of cloisters and courtyards take some navigating. Our room was big & nice, but the aircon wasn't excellent. The bathroom was amazing! Fully renovated with stand-alone tub and shower with 2 rain shower heads. The bar was excellent and the staff friendly & helpful.

The aircon was typically European and quirky. We had to call maintenance who explained (in Spanish) how to cool the room, but most Americans wouldn't figure out that the system is illogical -- turning the temperature down & increasing the fan makes the system shut off!
