Pombal Rooms Santiago

Nice room with a lovely view over the cathedral. On the top floor, so you had to walk from the elevator who only ran to the secondf loor to the top floor. Not a problem for me, but good to know.

I'm tall and the bathroom have a slooped ceiling so I banged my head in a couple of times, going up from the wc. Also, the shower have a slooped ceiling, a little difficult for me. But more so, there was a small in the bathroom, and some paint had fallen off the ceiling in the shower. Might be mold?

Location is fab. So central and the view of Cathedral is such a bonus. You can hear the bells and have a view of the Cathedra from the rooms. Even better view from the breakfast room. Hosts were very helpful, friendly and willing to help. We had a slight miscommunication and host acted immediately to put things right. I loved my four days there.

I wish that Spanish hotels had facilities for making tea or coffee in rooms. In UK and Ireland there is usually a kettle in the rooms but that is not a criticism of Pombal. But, a recommendation - Pomabal Rooms have a communal area and if they allowed visitors to use a boiler/kettle to make tea/coffee, and perhaps a fridge to leave milk, I think that would be a great selling point.

Location was perfect! Beautiful view of the cathedral

We were not made aware by the staff that there was a conference in Santiago on the day of checking out and that there were no taxis available to bring us to the train station. We would have arranged a taxi in advance had we been told. We had to walk to the train station which is around 1.7 kms from the hotel. We did not have wheelie bag luggage so we were carrying it by hand - over 20 kgs per person.

The property was very comfortable and clean and the staff very helpful. The location is good - away from the crowds but walkable. And it has a very good place for breakfast just across the street ;)

The AC didn’t work during the night and the room got very hot (our baby had a bad night of sleep due to the heat). It was working when we left for dinner but turned off when we came home. It just worked again in the morning.

This hotel is an older home totally remodeled. Is very close to the Cathedral’s Obradoiro Plaza. Big, very clean rooms and huge bathroom. They do have a breakfast but I don’t know if is any good because we decided to go out. The staff was very helpful. If I go back to Santiago I would stay in this Hotel.

I wish it had parking but there is a public parking near and they have a discount for the hotel guests.

We got a big room with sharing garden and view to the Catheral church. The staff is super helpful and friendly (Thank you Irena! She also can speak English fluently!)

If you are not young and want to close to the center, this accomodation might not suitable for you, its not too near from the center/restaurants and to reach Pombal you need to pass few areas that higher than usual road.

Had a great stay, the room was very nice, clean, large and decorative.. and the location was incredible. A short walk from the historical centre. We had the most beautiful view of the cathedral and city. I sat and painted it while having a break from all the walking.

Not the best breakfast, but was fine

Location is perfect, view is amazing. The place is basic, but delivers what is promised. Excellent beds, good pillows, towels are nice also and hair drier is quite good. No minibar…. in summer maybe an issue, but was not advertised, so we knew about it. Easy check-in. I would repeat!

Excellent location and view of the cathedral was impressive. Easy find and communication good. Beds very comfortable.

The water pressure in the shower was very poor - particularly when wanting a very hot shower - very difficult to wash your hair. A little on the pricey side.

The quietest place during our 3 weeks trip. The view of the cathedral. Modern good size bedroom, terrace, very comfortable bedding, sheets and fluffy towels. The mirror was a plus as well as the a/c.

Could be nice to have a plant on the terrace. Or somewhere in the hall. A bit too clinical.
