Nice clean place to stay including swimming pool, friendly staff, good breakfast and good Wifi. It is not close to the center, but there are some good restaurants close by and near the beach (however don't expect many, the beach is quite quiet). We really liked the boat tour organized by Claire which includes the highlights of the center.

The bathroom looks good, but the water of the shower did not drain. So when you opened the shower door the bathroom became very wet We didn't get the upgraded room which we booked, because it was given to another couple. Claire gave a small discount for this.

Claire and her family were super friendly, were helpful when we had queries and made us feel welcome. The external areas of the hotel are attractive, and it is well situated near to the beach and restaurants etc., but in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle. The AC in the rooms was very welcome!

The hotel has all the makings to be even better than it is, with just a few upgrades. The rooms had everything we needed but fittings are basic. We missed duvets and toiletries for example, and would have loved fresh fruit with the breakfast. Still a good budget option overall.

This hotel is a gem. It's like a small oasis tucked away among all the other hotels in the lanes behind the beach. Everything is so pretty and cozy. Spacious room and bathroom. Everything is spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff who speak English. Good WiFi. Everything looks exactly like the photos on Booking.com. The breakfast is superb. I really liked to have a table and chairs right outside my room. If you are heading north after Negombo, just walk up to the main road and flag down the right number bus. No need to go to the bus station.

It was nothing I didn't like.

Amazing friendly owners, nice pool, short walk to the beach (but would recommend a tuktuk via night time if you travel alone). Tasty Breakfast, coffee is available all day. Room was huge with aircon, I really liked the place. Also a place for long term travelers- I just stayed two nights and got all transfer’s (airport) organised, also at 2-3 am ! An amazing place to stay for single travellers especially woman: it’s safe and owners are heartwarming helpful - thank you Claire for this nice start into my holidays.

This was an amazing place to stay in Negombo! It was located only a 10 minute walk from Negombo Beach that has great restaurants and bars. The pool here is also amazing and always kept clean. The rooms are nice and spacious with a super comfy bed and nice thick towels for the shower. One of the best part of this stay is how friendly the owners are, and they do everything they can to make your stay perfect! This is the only place we will stay when we come back to Negombo in the future!

Everything was great!

We couldn't have imagined a better place to celebrate Christmas and Christmas Eve. It's a little paradise about 10 minutes from the beach. The pool is clean, and all rooms face the pool. The rooms are spacious, attention is paid to detail, and there are plenty of storage spaces – everything is kept clean. We felt very comfortable. Especially on Christmas, we attended a midnight mass with the family and were surprised with a breakfast brunch. We had a wonderful time.

I had a fantastic stay. Claire and her family was really welcoming and helpful. They prepared a big brunch for christmas day, so all guests could come together and celebrate. The bed was really comfy and the room was nice (with a functioning A/C). The Pool area is very nice and relaxing and also the location is top (just 5 minutes to the beach and main street with lots of restaurants). Can definitely recommend staying here while in Negombo!

Claire was very communicative prior & during my stay. I had a 0300 check in & was of no issue. Was warmly welcomed & greeted to my room. Nice to have a woman running the place. Claire & her staff all friendly & very helpful with any questions about Sri Lanka. I had arranged airport pick up through her as it was very late upon arrival & it was flawless. This is a wonderful, quiet, small stay, tucked away not far from the busy main road of Negombo. Location was perfect; a walk away from shops, restaurants, Cargills & the (unfortunately littered) beach. I had a delicious fresh seafood dinner at a local family restaurant called The Lobster just down the main road at a reasonable tourist price. Pool at the stay looked inviting but did not go in, however a nice plus to have in hot Sri Lanka. Aircon, wifi, hot water for the rain head shower was on demand. Extremely clean, comfortable room & bathroom. The bathroom which was delightfully updated was a big plus. 1 1L bottle of water was provided for 2 nights, however no refills, as a water refill would have been helpful lessening single use plastic. No tea kettle or fridge but did not need. Breakfast was not included in the stay however it is of no issue if it doesn’t interest you, but is available for a fee (I did not have). An overall great place to stay upon arrival or departure from your Sri Lankan trip. I stayed here for two nights to start my 11 day tour. Negombo is an underrated, charming, laid back, familiar beach town, the locals so kind. Worth staying in Negombo for at least 2 nights if not more in my opinion. It is the perfect place to start your journey & have as a home base in comparison to Colombo city life. I can recommend this safe, cozy, comfortable, clean stay. Claire is a delight to chat with as well :)

The owner Claire did stole my heart=) I felt like I was served by my mom, or someone who's really care. She helped me to organise trips, excursions, was here for any type of inquiry and made my stay in this place that comfortable than any solo-traveller could ever expect. St. Claire hotel has cozy home atmosphere, lovely. Pool is clean, rooms are well maintained and can easily compete with expensive hotels. Breakfasts and dinners was served at the time I wanted, the menu was adjusted for my preferences. The Hotel is Very close to the restaurants, bars, shops, beach.

Nothing to complain about.

Amazing property in Negomo, the pool area was beautiful and clean, the rooms way more spacious then expected and had everything you need. Comfy bed and just a quick stroll away from one of the main streets with restaurants and bars and the beach.

Wifi sometimes not as reliable even though there are multiple, but wasn't a problem.
