We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed walking around historic Gamla Stan. The breakfast was delicious (espresso and tea were made fresh upon request) and the cafe was charming. We loved the narrow crooked staircase and the old world charm of the building. The amenities were modern and tastefully done to not clash with the age and grace of the building. The staff was very accommodating, we had an earlier flight on our last day and we were provided with an early breakfast and homemade cake to go!

Loved the location as it was so central . It also had a lot of character and check in and check out was very easy and flexible. The staff were very helpful and friendly too.

It was very cramped and small which made it a bit difficult for my very tall husband. The beds were perhaps too soft and the stairs were very steep and narrow which made it very difficult and potentially dangerous to cart suitcases up and down. One poor older lady arrived and my husband carried her suitcase up as there was no way that she could have managed by herself. The location was very central in Gamla Stan but that did mean it was very noisy at night. Earplugs were provided.

Wonderful location right in the heart of Old Town, complete with slanting floorboards and gorgeous beams in the ceiling. Even though there was no AC, the room was well ventilated and did not overheat even though the temps outside were nearing 30s. The beds were comfy, furniture and decor very "era-appropriate", and breakfast offered a fabulous variety of choices. Staff was there to provide designer coffee and friendly chat. Talking of staff - they went way beyond "sufficient" - none of my queries were overlooked and solutions were swiftly provided. Am definitely staying there again!

There was a lack of a shower curtain (quickly fixed) and the matter of a broken fan (quickly fixed). The little kitchen nook would have benefited from a sponge and a dish soap (was assured that this will be sorted as well). The only really difficult part was the staircase - negotiating the narrow spiral stairs with heavy suitcases is not for the faint of heart! BUT, even there - staff to the rescue! :)

This hotel is right in the center of a very lively area, though it actually sits on a quiet side street. The location was very convenient for accessing shops, restaurants and tourist sights. It was easy to get to the trains and ferries from here as well. We booked the top floor suite, which was a very nice room despite the building being quite old. The spiral staircase to get up here was long, but that was part of the enjoyment in staying at this hotel. We enjoyed the included breakfast in the morning and having a small kitchen in the room as well.

Parts of the wood floor were creaky, so I was concerned about making too much noise for the guests in the room below us. However, I am not sure if they could actually hear this.

Everything went well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the old town in a charming old building. Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast, despite the space constraints, was rich and everything was delicious.

For me everything was fine. One needs to consider that this is an old building (from 1607 I think) so, you may listen to the noise from rooms above (we were at the top floor so we bearly heard anything) and for older people, it may be a bit challenging to go up 3-4 floors as there is no elevator.

a unique experience in old town. I loved waking up to the smell of warm bread and carefully taking the old staircase down to breakfast each morning. cozy historical building tucked just off the beaten paths. you get these awesome old keys to use to open your bedroom doors. the light coming in the windows and the sounds of revelry from the streets warmed my heart.

it is an older building so you will hear things which didn’t bother us a bit - complimentary ear plugs are provided if you need them.

Good location! Breakfast is standard European style, not fancy but with good quality materials and a cup of freshly made coffee, and definitely love to wake up with the smell of bread baking coming from downstairs. There are also some snacks and fruits you can get in cafe all day. Staff is friendly and helpful, though they are not always there, everything we needed and asked for were taken care of. Everything in this building is ancient (except the toilet with Floor heating), steep and narrow stairs, sloping floor, Cracked beams... that's what the hotel featured for, if you are looking for a place morden and chic, it's not what you should choose. And avoid stay on Fridays and Saturdays if you are sensitive to sounds from nearby pubs, nights on working days are quiet and cozy.

The curtains are very light-transmitting, street lights are on whole night, which makes the room not dark at all during night. It could be a huge problem if you stay here in summer when the sun rises veyr early in morning. Beds are too soft.

The breakfast was great. Very fresh with wide choice and lovely and attentive staff looking after the guests. The atmosphere was special- felt like going back in time. Very relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable and really appreciated having a fridge. I requested a room on the lower level and it was swiftly arranged. Very good communication with the hotel.

The bathroom is small and and it was hard to not wet the entire floor when having a shower (though towels in plenty supply). Given the small space, the best had been done with the layout. My husband and I coped well, but this hotel is not suitable for individuals who struggle with mobility. There is no lift.

Great location right in the centre of the old town of Stockholm. Lovely breakfast in the cosy restaurant. We had the family room at the top of the building which is a great space for a family. The stairs were quite steep and narrow to negotiate with our bags but it is an amazing old house.

Not really any central space, lobby or sitting area (apart from in the room). The bathroom for the room was small and dark. But these are minor points and are because it is a characterful old house and not a modern purpose-built hotel. The reception closed at 1pm which they said was because of the pandemic which I thought strange, but still no problem getting entry to the hotel or room.

Great location in the heart of the old town and only a couple of minutes walk from the Metro and the commuter ferries to local islands. The hotel is medieval in origin with wonky walls and sloping floors - full of character and quirkiness - traditional Swedish decor. Luckily we were on the first floor as there is no lift and the staircase is narrow and winding. Probably not a good hotel for the less mobile. Breakfasts were a cold buffet served by super friendly staff. A home made muesli was delicious. An added bonus were the free coffee, biscuits and home made cake left out all day in the dining room (which also serves as a quaint café in the summer months). If you love old hotels full of architectural character we suggest you book early as there are only six bedrooms.

We were hoping for some fish in the breakfast buffet (being in Sweden), which we didn't get although there was plenty of meat and cheese. The bathroom is pretty small but that is to be expected in such an old building. There is a beautiful old cellar with seating which was a little too cold to sit and enjoy.
