The room was in excellent condition there was a nice large desk to work with which I appreciated as was travelling with my laptop. The bathroom was also in excellent condition and the daily towels/cleaning was greatly appreciate. The hotel is quite close to the old town within 15/20 mins walk however, if you do not prefer to walk you can always use tram/buses.

I could not really find anything I did not like about my stay at the hotel maybe the room not having a kettle to make tea/coffee was a slight disadvantage. Also there was no view but that is to be expected.

My family and I we had a lovely stay at the hotel, the facilities are really nice, we especially appreciated the lovely garden/patio, a very pleasant space to enjoy the nice weather and have a cup of coffee. The hotel is not that close to the Old Town, in our case since it was rather hot and we were with senior people we uber there, easy and not too expensive, but you can easily walk since is not more than 20 minutes away. Breakfast was OK, not too many options in terms of hot food but it does.the job. Nothing really to complain about La Pergola, we would come back for sure!

Rooms are spacious, Fully closing curtains allow you to get full sleep, Apple and hot beverage service throughout the day, very close to public transportation, and there is a lovely open area to enjoy sun and relax

There is a strong smell of damp in the rooms. Morever, Some Swiss are too didactic. While enjoying cigarettes in the garden, the hotel receptionist preferred to give a sermon that starts with the words that " U may like it, but others may not bla bla instead of silently closing the door to the hotel. Unfortunately this is the general problem of Switzerland. There is a secret air of self-righteousness. Besides, on the balcony of the apartment directly opposite the hotel, there is a loud Swiss who constantly shouts and creates the atmosphere of Hitler's Nuremberg rally.

Breakfast was good, but not exceptional. In general, staff were very good. Location was also very good being in close proximity to the No 3 tram stop. This in turn gave very quick access to the main CBD and in turn, access to the city’s attractions.

Checkin was agonisingly slow. We were informed that our room was not ready which was understandable. However when we were finally told it was ready we found out that it had been ready for about an hour. Not a big deal but when you are tired and needing a rest, it is.

Friendly, efficient reception, with adequate breakfast, even though no cooked options. Room was small but well laid out with a good desk area. Shower was good although a little cramped. A ramp next to the stairs to enter the lobby was a nice touch not commonly found in smaller hotels.

Pastries selection was restricted for Europe and no Bircher muesli. Limited juice selection (only orange juice, though it was good. Other guests on the floor were smoking on the balcony and the smell came into the hallway, despite the no smoking signs. There was an uphill walk of 1 km to the train station. No powerpoint near bed for phone charging overnight.

The continental breakfast was very good plenty to eat and as much as you like,they keep the rooms clean and change towels daily ,bed is very comfortable but the pillows are the softies I've ever lay on,,way to soft,shower is very small but the water pressure is very good,

The room was very small and the pictures on the site are a bad reflection of the actual size,if you're just using it as a base then it will be adequate. It's not really suitable for couples,

Good value; very good location with tram stop very near and only a few stops from centre. However the room was rather small. i think if i remember correctly that the toilet was extremely low for sitting on; lower than normal for toilets!

the room was quite small; luckily we were only staying 2 nights. Otherwise the hotel was quiet and the neighbourhood was quiet too. Very well located. the reception staff were very helpful indeed.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Was a nice quiet location with a little garden which was great for an afternoon drink. Easy to access the train station and old town (by foot if desired, 15 minute walk or so to the station, or by public transport which was very easy - and free with your accommodation!).

Rooms did not have air conditioning, but did have fans provided which was helpful - may get quite hot in summer though. No kettle or tea/coffee in the room.

Location was excellent with many restaurants below and around the property. The staff were so friendly.Thank you and hope to come back again to Hotel La Pergoala. The free ice creams below was a pleasant surprise. The reception staff were so extremely accommodating. They also offered us a free extra room for my child. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and smiling.

Everything was perfect!

hotel is accessible 2 tram stops away from Bern main train station. before arriving, they were very kind to extend the city pass (bern ticket) free and we used it well to travel within Bern city. place is located within the residential area, is nice and quiet. has clean and spacious room, and bed is comfortable

does not seem to have a supermarket nearby. so it's best to get everything from the train station or city centre
