Incredible location right by the gorgeous, historic center of Lucerne. Charming little balconies put you right into the clean city air. Staff was helpful and happily stored our bags when we checked out early to go to Mt Rigi (highly recommend this outing to any visitor.) The hotel is very clean and we would definitely go back.

The rooms are a bit spare and dated, but the price reflects this and is reasonable for the area. The woman in charge of breakfast was very rude and aggressive to my daughter for putting jam directly on her bread!! Perhaps a small sign asking for jams and toppings to go into a small bowl could alleviate the matter. The same woman assumed my adult kids were off the street and was overly firm in telling them the breakfast was 15 franks (even though we had prepaid for it). I note this not as a deterrent to stay here, but as advice to management that she needs to soften her approach in the restaurant. All other staff was extremely courteous.

Very nice hotel in an excellent location. It is a 15 minutes walk from the train station, but I just used bus # 19 from the train station and got off at Lowensplatz, the 3rd stop, and was easy. The Lion Monument is just 3 minutes walk and the hotel is in the old town, which is very nice to explore. Lots of eating option close by and in the old town. The room and bathroom was beautiful, staff was great, and service was good. I checked in before time, they kept my luggage and when I came back was told that my luggage was already taken up to the room, how nice. There was even an umbrella in the room and at checkout was given a Swiss Chocolate Bar for staying. Will certainly stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel De La Paix in Luzern, Switzerland, and it was an incredible experience. The Hotel location was outstanding, with easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and all the wonders that Switzerland's alpine region has to offer. The proximity to restaurants was a definite highlight. Luzern is known for its culinary scene, and I had the pleasure of trying a variety of local and international cuisines. From traditional Swiss dishes to international flavors, there was something to satisfy every palate. The convenience of having these dining options within walking distance made it easy to indulge in delicious meals throughout my stay. One of the major advantages of the Hotels location was its proximity to all of Switzerland's alpine wonders. Luzern serves as an excellent base for exploring the breathtaking landscapes, charming villages, and stunning mountain peaks. Whether it was hiking in the Swiss Alps, visiting picturesque lakes, or experiencing the beauty of nature, everything was easily accessible from the apartment. The combination of convenient amenities, such as restaurants and supermarkets, for light snacks along with the accessibility to Switzerland's alpine region, made my stay in Luzern truly memorable. I highly recommend this Hotel De La Paix to anyone seeking a fantastic Swiss getaway.

Very good location. Parking in commercial center next door (would be good to indicate this in the booking). Only few minutes walk to lake, very central. Room was nice and spacious. The breakfast was very basic: cereal, milk, joghurt, fruit, cheese, eggs and bread, coffee, tea, juice. The restaurant is quite nice where the breakfast is eaten. The water in the shower was very nice and hot. The room is quiet if you keep the balcony doors closed

The baby bed was open one side with zip broken so could not close it, but we just turned the opening towards the wall so it was fine and baby could not escape :). For a bit of fresh air you have to open the balcony doors, and the room is then very noisy from noise from the road, but that is the way it is in the center of any city, so not unexpected.

Location was great. Could not be in better place. The breakfast was OK, and the staff at breakfast place and restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

I asked a couple of questions from the guy at reception, but I did not get the helpful answers. It is usually good to assist the tourists on selecting good place to eat, and places to see. Unfortunately, there was not much help on those two for me from that person at reception. I was told the lion monument was under construction, and there is nothing to see... However, we walked there and we could see the monument under scaffolding clearly, so I am glad to not listen to that person at reception. It would be also good to have a fridge and kettle in the room.

EVERYTHING. Location was amazing. Breakfast was good including the coffee. Our room was the triple sharing room overlooking Bachmann. Some reviews said it was noisy. I really dont think so. It was carnival weekend and we slept fine. So lovely that the management responded to my requests prior to arrival as I was travelling with 2 small kids alone. When we arrived, they have already setup the sofabed, kettle was there and it was perfect. My kids were missing the hotel when we got to London. The room was big and so so clean. They cleaned the room daily and we respected the hotel by leaving it clean as well. Staff were so friendly with my children. From reception to the restaurant staff. Thank you for making our stay in Swiss a memorable one.

The Hotel is in the Center. Lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. There is a small mall next to the Hotel where the parking is . . . very convenient. The room we got is spacious . . . double bed and sitting area. The bathroom is a bit small. There is a restaurant next door where breakfast is also served. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delish . . . everybody enjoyed their food and the service was very good, 4 - 5 stars!

The building is old, just like the majority of building in the old town . . . paint and carpeting on the common area could use some refreshing.

Everything was great. Easy to get to with just a quick walk from Lucerne train station. The staff were lovely and recommended we go to Pilatus which we did. Room was great, bathroom was as expected and our honeymoon was great.

Maybe a bigger TV? Maybe I'm just being picky as we didn't really spend much time there but when we did we were complaining about the size of the TV? FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS! Pretty much enjoyed everything about the hotel. Quick walk to the giant lion statue and lake which was a highlight of our trip.

Location of the hotel is very good as it is in the center of the old town. We covered almost all the areas by foot from the hotel. The young guy at reception (dont remember his name) was very helpful and gave us an idea of the City and nearby places at the time of checkin. Wifi is very good. After our checkout we kept luggage with them for few hours as well, and the staff was very helpful in that too.

Nothing specific. Perhaps the room size is a bit small than what we are used to but thats not an issue.

I really enjoyed the night I arrived, the concierge at the time was able to order me a pizza for dinner to be delivered to the hotel. Arriving at 915 in the night, I was too tired to explore the city to look for food and at that time, the hotel's restaurant was closed. The room was very well appointed, the breakfast was lovely, and it felt like somewhere I could've stayed longer. A short five minute walk to the closest bus-stop to take you to the main train station.

The only strange rule which I encountered was not to get the room floor wet as it would damage the wooden floor. While I understood that this is possible to happen, it is hard to understand furnishing a hotel room which is high traffic with such a material.
