I had dinner once during my stay and the food was very mediocre. I ordered chicken tikka masala. The food appeared to me as being "processed" food, not made in the hotel's kitchen. The chicken pieces looked like left over from left over... As I was tired that night and the staff was so nice, I didn't feel like sending the food back but I think that the quality of the food should definitely be better in order to match the quality of the accommodation.

One knows exactly what to expect from a citizenM hotel, which I like. While it's set up so you can do everything quickly/efficiently by yourslef, there's always staff nearby to give assistance where needed. The room is small but has everything I need, shower was great, as was the TV etc. I loved the breakfast too - it's not massive but everything on offer is very good - REALLY great fresh bread, all condiments, cereals/yogurts, eggs etc. Also they make amazing coffee with milk alternatives too. Location is super conveniant to shops, supermarkets, train station. I would definitely stay here again for short layovers in Zurich.

The check-in was easy, the rooms are spacious, hot shower and the downstairs areas are nice for chatting, reading, or doing on-line work.

We weren't crazy about having to access room controls from an IPad. Lights, temperature, shades, etc. But that is a personal preference. The way the rooms are situated the person sleeping next to the window has to climb over the person on the outside as the bed is against the wall. This meant waking my husband in the night for a trip to the bathroom. Entrance doors to the room were heavy and didn't always open with the first keycard attempt. Not as close to the historic area as we would have liked. Wanted to extend for one more night, based on travel arrangements and we wefe told they had already overbooked and the price almost doubled.

The staff are amazing! Very warming and helpful. The location is great near to everything in walking distance if you are walker if not public transportation is available. The bar and food is also a plus 24/7. Room is very small but very comfortable. Shower amazing. AC great. Everything very high tech controlled by an iPad. My kids love this property and wanna stay on Citizen M from now on

The room could be little bigger. There is only one side of the bed so if you are not flexible can be hard to get in and out. Also bathroom is connected to the room no much of privacy. But everything is the way you see in the picture No surprises.

The hotel is well-situated in the middle of Zurich. It was my first time at a CitizenM, but I liked the high-tech concept and considering how expensive Zurich can be, I found it to be good value for money. The staff was great, friendly and helpful. I liked that the bar was open for drinks and snacks 24/7 and that there was free sparkling water available. The beds and pillows are comfier than most I've had in 4 star hotels. The electric blinds and room mood settings were great, very relaxing.

The rooms are smallish, but that's the case for everywhere in Europe. They designed it to make good use of the space. For one person it was great. For two I would have felt a little cramped.

room was incredibly small, the size of a closet. the bed is pushed against the window so if you’re sharing with your partner you have to jump over them to get in and out of bed.

Amazing location, friendly staff, comfortable bed. It's a modern hotel but everything is super close hence the premium price. The room has a slightly clinical feel as it's so new, modern and uber chic design which may not be to everyone's taste and I'm only saying this because I have always stayed in traditional looking hotels. Staff were great to help with the digital check in process. It's a shame there were no tea/coffee making facilities, which is probably the only slightly negative thing. We didn't have breakfast but it was free for our little 2 year old and the selection was good and very fresh and tasty. This was perfect for our overnight transit stay to Central Switzerland and highly recommend.

Wow, this is such a unique place to stay! I loved the vibe and ambiance. The automatic black-out curtains are amaaaazing! Honestly, I've never been able to sleep so soundly until I stayed here. The bed was so comfy and large. A tablet is provided to control the lighting, TV, radio, etc. The labeled light buttons are a major plus! Many times, we have to play around w/ buttons until we figure out what they're for, but this place was the first I've seen w/ labeled buttons, and it helped! The workspace lounge downstairs w/ the 24-hr bar is inviting and super convenient. You're right by the Old Town and so it's a perfect location. The room is quite small for the price, but I'd stay here again if it weren't so darn expensive.

The price was quite steep! More than 450 CHF..Ughhh :(

Room door having a double lock and a door stopper as a security step is brilliant for guest safety. Electric control on day and night curtains was good. Free WiFi connection was great. Cool art display. Nice books given to read. Room technology provided is amazing to control TV, lights, using a web chat with hotel staff and setting the room temperature. Location is good. Comfortable bed. Excellent customer service. Great value for money hotel.

Would have preferred twin bed and a better door for the bathroom.

The location of this property was perfect! Just a few minute walk to restaurants, bars, old Zurich, the river, etc. It was in walking distance to the train station. About 10 minutes give or take. The staff was superb! Very informative and fun to talk to you. The staff that I interacted with were from other parts of the world. That made for interesting conversations. The lobby, bar and work space had such a fun and inviting feel. No pretentious, uppity, type feel. Just welcome and be yourself type feel. Oh and the staff are there 24 hours a day, along with a secure badge access to the lodging area. That certainly gave me the feel goods, knowing they were just downstairs and a friendly face to see when I came back to my room in the later hours of the night. The bar area is stocked with yummy treats and adult beverages. And of course there are the options at the actual bar too. Also, at the bar, bottles are provided that one can fill with sparkling or regular water and glasses to take to your room. I did that multiple times, along with the vegan nachos. Mmm mmm they were sooooo good!! Although I did not partake in breakfast, the aroma was tempting and tantalizing. In regards to the room, well, it was just enough! Small, yet the perfect size for me. Bed, bathroom, counter space, and different color lights to change the look of the room. That was fun! Black out window options were also available. The bathroom towels were clean, large and soft. Oh and the doors to the room were so quiet when they shut. Awww that was such a treat. Um, yeah, so I'm sure you can tell that I'm a fan. This was my first visit to a citizenM and first time in Zurich, Switzerland. What a fantastic first impression! I will be visiting other citizenM locations.
