The location is close to Suishe Visitor Center where the bus drops visitors off. It's about a 20 minute walk with luggage but we asked the hotel shuttle to pick us up and drop us off at the visitors center when we arrived and left. You can also schedule ahead of time if you want the shuttle to drop you off at Suishe at other times. There was a large buffet breakfast that was quite tasty. The room was also very clean and we liked the view. There were many bikes to use for free to bike along the bike path. This is not a criticism (and Sun Moon Lake is primarily a domestic tourist location) but a FYI - if you don't speak Chinese, communication with the hotel staff might be a bit challenging. Some staff had a little bit of English language skills but that was not necessarily consistent. That's ok though :) just be prepared with some sort of translator app which is definitely useful in Taiwan anyway.

The view of the lake was fabulous and the room was clean and modern The breakfast buffet that came with the room far exceeded my expectations. they had a huge selection of freshly made chinese dishes, fruits, and best of all excellent coffee. The staff were extremely attentive. We came by train and bus and the lake is big enough that not having a car was somewhat limiting. But we were able on several occasions to arrange, on fairly short notice to be dropped off to nearby destinations by the hotel shuttle driver who was always polite and friendly

The free bikes were a bit rickety. I couldn't find one whose seat wasn't frozen into too low a position for me to use and so gave up on their bikes.

Good lake view, good biking trail, free use of bikes, the room is nice, spacious and clean, the breakfast buffet is good and the staff members are friendly and helpful.

A little far from the pier and convenience stores, the shuttle bus did not run late enough that we had to call taxi to drive us back from Ita Thai, but the lady driver arrange by the hotel was excellent. The food for dinner at the restaurant of the hotel was not that good. The rest rooms by the restaurants smelled.

The property was spacious and nice. Staff were also very friendly and helpful as they recommended places to go around the lake and where to get the best electric bikes. The hotel also provided free bicycles to cycle around the lake. Facilities were also great as there were billiards, arcade basketball machine, air hockey, switch and ps5, which guests can enjoy free of charge. Breakfast also had lots of selection. Overall nice experience.

The hotel was slightly old but still fairly clean. Abit further away from the port and shops to rent electric bike (around 1km).

I loved the room that I got....it had a nice balcony overlooking the lake (part of the lake that was a bit dried up). I had a huge bathroom which included a giant square hot springs tub, and they gave me bath salts to put in it. I liked my bed, which was large and comfortable and low to the ground...almost like a futon. I loved the bikes that they have available for guests and I rode a bike everywhere, including all around Sun Moon Lake. The food was good at the restaurant, although I only ate one meal there, since there is a town nearby with lots of fun food options. I went hiking up to a tea research area one day....just up the road from the hotel, so I loved the location, too. Finally, I appreciated the easy (and free) parking just across the street, since I had rented a car and driven there.

There was no gym or pool, which was disappointing. I guess I got a bit of a workout from riding bikes around the lake, but I would've liked a weight room or something. They also didn't have much choice of Western food. I went to Nomad Cafe up the street several times to get just something a little different when I got sick of Chinese food.

- tatami style Japanese room was spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. there is a separate tatami area, large jacuzzi bath, and heated WC - breakfast buffet was for us, delicious. For 2 days the variety changed quite abit. Mainly Taiwanese food which we loved - bicycle use for free at B2. we particularly loved riding after breakfast. the bicycle path is literally just at the doorstep of where you get the bikes. the trail turning right outside takes you to a nice scenic path. - car park is right opposite the hotel lobby. - Hotel is a short drive off the Shuishe area. initially thought we should have stayed at Ita Thao but in the end quite enjoyed the quiet side of Shuishe, and with a car it’s easy to travel around.

- hotel is abit tired and dated, but it’s still a very comfortable stay. Was a little worried when we arrived at the sleepy dim lobby. but the room was v comfortable and a pleasant stay.

Visited in December 2024. Stayed at the hotel with 2 toddlers and my wife. The room was spacious and the view of the sunrise was beautiful from the balcony. The bed was big and the kids slept well on it. The room was well stocked with bottled water as well. Breakfast spread was good with a good variety of food. Overall a pleasant stay.

The bed was soft for me and caused a backache. The hotel is slightly dated but still nice to stay in. Fruit selection at breakfast was limited.

Great location. The hotel staff are very friendly. The 4-deb family room is spacious compared with most of hotel in Taiwan. Love the big bathroom provide a hot spring bath/Jacuzzi which can fit in 3 adults easily ( perfect for family too ) . My daughter LOVE the Sun Moon oolong tea hotel provided in our room. Breakfast is nice too. My parents like Asian breakfast, my daughter likes Western breakfast, both preferences are satisfied.

Wish more milk or creamer provided in our room. Restaurant service is slow, it may not be a good idea for family with young children.

Perfect location, spacious and clean room.

The room service was really bad. I had to wait for my food for 1.5 hours and to call the reception and go to the restaurant to get it. The breakfast didn't have enough protein choice for those who don't eat pork - as a rule one fish dish and something like chicken nuggets. The fruit were not properly washed: I personally removed a big piece of dirt from my watermelon.
