2'walk from bus station. Parking space for scooters, nice little garden to have breakfast and coffee

The guesthouse it located very well, just around the corner from Kanchanaburi bus station, but on a quiet, peaceful back road. Bike and moped hire made travelling around the city very easy and fun. Bike hire for a very reasonable 50 THB for the whole day. The host could not have been any nicer. She was very helpful working out where to go, what to do I.e. she helped us plan our trip to Erawan National Park, and out onward trip to Auytthaya via Saphan Buri. She told us exactly what busses to take, where to find them, what time and the prices. She also offered cheap and tasty breakfast and lunch that we could order at any time that suited us.

We found our bed was a little bit hard for our liking, but this is, of course, personal preference. We made some friends during our stay who said that their bed was super soft, so maybe something worth considering when filling out any special requests :). This is just advice, and would not deter us from booking again at this lovely guest house.

The bed was large and they included everything you could need for toiletries. We were about to use the tea kettle to make tea we have purchased through our travels which was nice. The AC and fan combo are great too because sometimes you want one over the other. The hot water works well and the room was quite clean. The laundry service was cheap and very convenient.

The room was a little small so it could be hard to maneuver with 2 people and our backpacks, but it had everything we needed! The response time of the staff took a while through the booking app. We asked for toilet paper at 9 pm on our last night as we had not seen we were running out until then, but never got a response to that or our previous message asking for a recommendation. Maybe having WhatsApp instead and listed on your booking page would be helpful

Joy and her sister are so sweet! They took so good care of me! Everything was so great. I had a great time. Breakfast for the low price very good. Room was very good, fine airco also. If you want to see something than you can rent a bicycle or motorbike. Please be carefull when you get a link on Booking.com when they ask you to pay. That is scam! Joy warned me for that! You DONT need to pay before you are in the Canaan Guesthouse. If I am again in Kanchanaburi then I am sure that I go again to Canaan Guesthouse.

This is a clean, comfortable and relaxing place to stay. It has a real homely feel to it. The owners have added a lovely personal touch to it with plants and decoration around the sitting area. It's in a residential part of the town so you'll get a sense of Thai life as it is rather than in a non-descript hotel. It's also just 5 minutes walk from the bus terminal so it's very well located. The train station is a couple of kilometres away but you can get a tuk-tuk easily. There is a night market a couple of streets in front of the bus station where you can get all kinds of delicious food. The owners have lots of information about tours, can hire out bikes and will provide a good breakfast. I would stay there again without hesitation.

They did offer breakfast but we didn’t try it. When I got an injury from my travel kettle, they helped me get to a pharmacy. I really liked that they had a communal refrigerator and clean water to refill bottles. We stayed here to go visit Elephant Haven, which was wonderful.

The room was very small! The first day, we did not know to put toilet paper in the trash and that we had to turn on the hot water heater.

AC was nice and comfortable. I appreciated letting my check in later in the day. Owners/staff were friendly and supportive. Nice little humor appreciated too :D Very close to bus depot area. Grateful for the bicycle rental for only 50 baht, I believe. Really worthwhile for the price of a stay. Simple but gets the job done.

When I first entered, there were a couple of mosquitoes in the room. Thankfully, I killed them so that I could rest peacefully at night. On booking, it mentioned a mosquito net but when I asked, I never got an answer about it.

Fantastic location, just a short walk to the bus station and around 35-40min walk to the bridge and death railway museum. Staff are very friendly and helpful, helped us figure out which buses to take to get to Ayutthaya. The rooms are small, just a bed with a small amount of space around it and then a decent sized private bathroom. Aircon worked well, WiFi was good, the bed was comfy and the room was clean.

The room is very small and only 1 socket which isn't near the bed. Able to hear other guests easily, especially as our room was next to the shared bathrooms so quite a lot of noise came from that sadly. Overall, this is a good value of money, but just be aware it is pretty basic and I wouldn't want to stay here more than 2 nights.

The fact that the guesthouse is really close to the station bus helps these two girls arriving from Chiang Mai very early in the morning. The host was really helpful and being so understanding. She let us pray, freshen up at the lobby area before letting us checking in around 9 (because the guest check out early). Thank you so much.

No aircond, only fan available. But the room is comfortable and cold enough at night. I don’t want to complaint since the cost of stay was really cheap. We had a great stay here.

Joy and Fa are wonderful and hardworking people. They run a very clean and comfortable guesthouse. So close to the bus terminal and places to eat. Joy helped me with the paperwork for my visa extension at the Kanchanaburi immigration which is so so much easier to do here than in Bangkok. You can rent a bike and do your laundry here for great price. The river Kwai Bridge is close by and the Erawan National Park and waterfall is amazing. Thank you very much Canaan Guesthouse for everything. A wonderful time here.
