Quaint little hotel with a convenient cofee-bakery shop at the groundfloor, ( undouptedly the best cofee in town !!! ), good location, 2 min walking to the river , lots of restaurants, shops and markets around, easy to get a Grab taxi anywhere else

very small room and quite dark , little natural light and not enough light sources in the room , one lightball not working ; one afternoon the water was turned off completely ; very slow service in the cofee shop; no one in the reception in the evening , no phone in the room, no AC in the lobby area and staircase. The hotel has no elevator, the only acces to the hotel is through a spiral wooden stair located in the middle of the cofee shop which ads to the charm of the place but it’s very narrow and unpractical especially if you have luggage ; it wasn’t an issue for us but just something to be aware of !

We had such a nice stay here! You can eat breakfast downstairs. All of their food and drinks are so delicious!!! It turns into a cocktail bar after 19:00 hours and the cocktails are also super good! Staff is super nice. They have free cookies and drinks for you at the room. They even bring a cake and 2 milkdrinks in the evening.

They do not have an elevator, so this could be a problem if you have to check out early. Then yoi have to bring your own luggage downstairs for example. The shower is not really hard, so it could be that you think the water is too soft. Also a higher couch would be better. Now the couch is really on the ground. The location is great for in Krabi, but there is no nightlife here. Then you should go to Ao Nang.

The hotel upgraded us to the bigger room since the one that we booked was not available at the time of booking and we did not like that room. It's totally free of charge! Everything in the mini-bar is free and included in the room-rate, moreover, they also gave us the small desserts in the evening as well. The 350THB all-day breakfast was really great and we did really like the concept of "all-day" since we did not have to wake up early to take the breakfasts :-)

We liked most of the hotel designs concept but we do not like the bath, it looks good but not practical at all!

Family Tree hotel was an allrounder for us: nice sized clean room with enough shelving and a balcony, toiletteries that smell like milky rice, comfortable bed, complimentary coffee, cookies and evening snacks: some milk and a pastry from the cafe... The staff is amazing, they all speak perfect English, or if you want, easy Thai. We booked a tour to Hong islands at the reception, got a wetbag and towels for the trip, were picked up at the hotel the next day, got lots of fruit and had a blast! The breakfast is at the cafe "much and mellow" located downstairs,, and you can get breakfast with a voucher until 6 pm, so we used it as dinner on days we skipped the breakfast. the cafe is very popular with all kind of Thai people, but they always had a table for us and a selection of amazing food.

Our air conditioner was a bit loud but we were not bothered enough to do anything about it. The water pressure was not the best and stopped for a second, but again we were not bothered enough by it to change the room or say anything. It did not impact our experience.

Location in Krabi was excellent, with restaurants and bars all around. Built on top of a fantastic cafe (have to walk through it to the rooms) which served great food and also, importantly, couldn't be heard from even the rooms directly above. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well recommended. The staff were really helpful in pointing out local amenities and activities, as well as helping with directions. Very friendly.

As many others have said, having to carry huge bags up & down a small spiral staircase in the cafe to the hotel on the first floor. For those with mobility, accessibility issues - this is not the hotel for you. Whilst the hotel staff carried our large bags up a back-staircase, it is not ideal if leaving early on to have to carry them yourselves with no lift. A minor note, the rest it was fantastic.

The hotel was lovely, rooms very clean, massive comfy bed, private balcony, fridge and free (delicious) snacks everyday. Staff also very pleasant. The coffee shop downstairs served great coffee and the food was excellent. Really loved this place. Location was excellent, short walk to the night market and riverfront.

Our only issue was finding the hotel (mostly our fault as I think we missed that the hotel was above the "much and mellow" coffee shop downstairs).

The staff are very nice and friendly. The room design is very unique, cute, and clean. Bed is so comfy. I enjoy their shower set a lot, they are fresh and soothing fragrant. Also, everything in the room are complementary. They even have treats for you at the end of the day every day from their bakery.

I wish they have an elevator, and upgrade their TV to a smart one, and this hotel would be a very awesome place to stay. However, if I have a chance to come back to Krabi, I would come and stay here again for sure!! 😊

Excellent spacious clean room with complementary snacks in the room from the café downstairs. Loved the family’s story of how the cafe and accommodation came about.

It didn’t bother us, but some might find the initial spiral staircase difficult. Don’t let that put you off the place is amazing- definitely try the cafe

Location is good. It's in the slightly quieter area of the city centre. It means even though you get privacy and quiet, you also have to walk a little to get to the night markets. Room is clean, spacious, and very comfortable. They provide equipment to make your own drip coffee which was a very interesting experience - if you don't want to use it you can get very good coffee right downstairs at the cafe. The owner/staff was very friendly. When we came back late one night we met him downstairs with his super adorable dogs and we got to play with them a while! My favourite thing about Family Tree Hotel is every night the staff leave supper for us outside our door in this cute rattan basket, usually includes milk and sweet treats from the bakery downstairs. I am an avid baker and I used to work in a bakery, and I can tell you their pastries are in my Top 5 list. Also, if you stay here you'd wake up to the amazing yeasty smell of freshly baked goods that will make you sigh and go 'ahhhhh...'

- The narrow windy stairs were really pretty, but climbing them when you're tipsy after a night out is a whole adventure on it's own. - The reception table was empty most of the time so it was difficult to get someone to request for something. But you can leave little notes for them at the front desk and they will attend to it (which was what we did)
