Loved our stay - we stayed in two spots in Pai and we preferred this one. Lovely welcoming staff, nice room with small deck, hammock and table/chair, private bathroom is good (hot showers), comfy bed, nice outlook onto garden/mountains in distance, lovely breakfast made fresh (choice from 5 options, very filling), quick walk across the bamboo bridge gets you to walking st, quieter spot to sleep than being on walking st. Love that they offer free bottle refills for water.

Could have some hand soap for the sink if I’m being very picky!

Favourite place to stay in 5 months of travel. Absolute gem. Loved it & kept extending my stay. Very comfortable bed. Hammock on the balcony with a view of mountains & crop fields - spent hours reading. Clean. Great breakfast, plentiful & tasty; unlimited water. New toilet roll & bottled water daily. Owner brought me free food if I was in on an evening. Water pressure was good. Go across the bamboo bridge for a 5 minute walk to the main walking street (Don’t follow google maps). Super quiet, ultimate calm and peace.

Air conditioning would be a welcomed addition, but the existing fans were helpful. No complaints at all with existing facilities.

Fantastic location, walking distance to Pai walking street but far enough away from the loud music. Good value for money. Room is very spacious, plenty of space for 2 suitcases and walking room. The hammock is really comfortable. Free breakfast was generous, hot cooked breakfast with fresh fruit, and help yourself to coffee, tea, bananas & snack bars. Staff were very friendly and chatty, made us feel very comfortable.

Walls are a bit thin so you are aware you can’t play music too loud, but no one else was loud and so didn’t affect our stay. Shower doesn’t get very hot, which was quite cold on a 10C morning.

Great location - easy access to the main walking street, just crossing the bamboo bridge (about 5-min walk). However, if you take a scooter, it will be a roughly 2.5-km ride. Friendly and helpful staff. Upon my arrival, they gave me a map and told me where to visit. During my stay, I had a Thai omelette for breakfast every morning. It was so tasty. Clean/spacious room - even large enough for a couple.

Pai Smilehouse is without doubt the best place we’ve stayed in Thailand so far! Exceptional value for money with an incredible breakfast range included in the price. Free drinking water is also available from the cooler at reception. The location was ideal with just a 5 minute walk to Pai walking street and our host was absolutely lovely, helping to arranging activities such as tubing and motorbike rental. The rooms are fan only but we found this to be enough cooling as the rooms didn’t get too hot. The hammock was lovely to watch the incredible sunset over the Pai mountains. We hope to come back one day!

For some reason we couldn’t seem to get the shower temperature to run anything except very warm, but this could have been our own error

The location was great, but what was even better was the extremely nice people, in particular our hostess. She's so genuine and nice. Brekky is a massive feed with plenty of fresh foods to choose from. The hostess gave us tips on getting to Tham Lod cave, hiring motorbikes etc. The main street in the town is less than 5 mins walk from the accommodation. Cross a pretty bamboo bridge and you're there. Quiet place too next to crop fields. No mossies etc (we went in winter late Jan)
