The quality/price ratio is very good. We booked with payment in advance therefore a smaller price. Everything is clean, the staff is very nice and helpful. At the last floor they have a glass terrace where you can work on the laptop while enjoying a wonderful view. They also have a package with breakfast until 10:30AM which is a really nice touch. We enjoyed also the spa which consists of hammam, steam Room and dry sauna.

Great location in the old city, easy walk to the great Mosques and good dining locations nearby. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast with a rooftop view of the Mosques and Asia across the river.

This review is for the entire group, 5 people in 3 rooms, 6 days. Overall experience was good, the location is very close to the historic centre. The restaurant was clean, the food was good. Room 403 was cleaned daily, it was ok. The only inconvenience was that every day they left the window open wide, and in the evening when we got to the room it was very cold. I notified two employees, then at the reception to stop leaving the window open, but nothing has changed.

About room 102, they did not clean for three days, did not change towels, etc. About room 104, they did not clean for two days. In addition, on the first floor, you could hear loud noise from downstairs in the reception hall, they were laughing loudly until 3 in the morning. I notified the reception, they said they would check, but no action was taken.

Hotel interior is nice and modern. Staff were really helpful during our stay, rooms have all the necessities. View from the 5th floor (where breakfast served) is really good! The hotel is around 15 min walk to the grand bazaar as well as the blue mosque. A number of options for food close by which are very reasonably priced. I would recommend this hotel for your trip to Istanbul, we had a pleasant stay overall!

Breakfast selection could be better & in many aspects quite limited. There is no toast available and the egg options are random dependent on the day i.e. one day there was fried egg, one day mixed egg with spinach (?), one day mixed egg with tomato (?). Would be better if a simple fried egg was always available with maybe a second dish with a varying option by day. There wasn’t much variety over the course of the week in general, but it still did the job.

The room was really nice and breakfast was also good. The staff were very helpful. The location is close to the Mosque, you can hear the prayers at the prayer times, we loved it!

There are a couple of things that might be considered a negative, but they are so minor that I wouldn't even count them as full-on negatives: 1. the walls were a bit thin, but not to the level that it would bother too much; 2. the elevator had only one "call" button, so it did create a few situations where you want to go down, but it goes up due to other people calling it.

The receptionists and chef were very pleasent. Whatever question or problem we had, they really wanted to help us. The turist attractions in the old city are on foot - 10 to 15 mins walking.

We stayed at the Costero hotel in Istanbul after reading the reviews on this newly refurbished hotel and we were happy as the hotel is very reasonable priced hotel for the excellent location, as it is near to the big landmarks 10/15 min walk to Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar but also hidden away from the main tourist areas and towards the old city so you get a genuine experience of Istanbul with the side streets, hustle and bustle and with interacting with the locals who are very respectful and welcoming. The tram is a 10 minute walk up a hilly road with lots of fashion shops, we didn’t get bothered by the vendors at all and the only ones that did bother us during our 7 day stay were the restaurants near the main landmarks, I would recommend you find some nice places to eat in the old city. The roads around the hotel are busy however with shutting the windows and doors in the evening you won’t hear the traffic which usually calms down in the night, if you get hot just turn on the air conditioning but after a say or two you will get used to the surrounding sounds. The area on google maps may not seem safe however after we got our bearings on the first day we felt safe travelling around the old city and side streets, local residents are friendly and do not bother you but may say Salaam/hello to you and it’s respectful to return the Salaam. The roads are well lit and busy with lots of locals and foreign residents is well. The local younger generation know little to enough English to converse with you so can be helpful to ask for directions if you need it. The hotel staff are very welcoming, helped us with any questions and gave guidance, they also checked in on us when we were in the lobby to ensure we were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything.

The breakfast was decent, and we enjoyed the beautiful view from the dining area. I loved the family room setup, which offered enough privacy for everyone while still being together. It was convenient that each room had its own bathroom.

we had a negative experience when my mom lost her room key. The staff made the situation quite stressful, especially given the short time we had before our flight. They asked us to repeatedly check our belongings, the breakfast area, and the room itself. We acknowledged our mistake and paid the fee for the lost key, for which we received a handwritten confirmation. It was somewhat awkward experience.
