The Darussaade is very well located in Blue Mosque neighborhood. The hotel itself is comfortably old-school. Bonus: I can report that the beds are brand new. They changed all of them out while we were gone one morning, so there's that. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast is worth getting.

Not the hotel's fault, but be careful when walking in the main tourist area. There are more hustlers and scammers than you can count, and each and every one of them will separate you from your money if you let your guard down. Don't speak to them, no matter how friendly they seem, just keep walking. Beware of the shoeshine scammers - do some homework to make sure you don't fall for their tricks. If you hand them money expecting change, just say goodbye to it because the best you'll get is the equivalent of 18 cents.

Location and service. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Ground floor rooms need a bit of sounds proofing. Noise from outside and even from reception area can be disturbing.

Wonderful, cozy, beautiful hotel with the best location. We were in Istanbul for the third time. And this time we were very lucky with the hotel. This hotel was a little bit more expensive than the othes, but the price corresponds to the quality: The staff is the most welcoming and friendly I have ever met! The receptionists were always ready to help with everything I was asking them - dry cleaning, ironing, transfers. I was very pleased with the work of the staff. (Guys, sorry, I completely forgot your names! But you are the best!) Workers in the cafeteria are the most cheerful people in the world. Breakfast is delicious and varied. We were there for 7 days and never got bored. The chef makes an amazing omelette. You have to pay extra for good coffee like latte or cappuccino - but it's worth it. Plus there is always free simple black coffee. I personally always drank local tea - 'bir bardak siyah çay' =) And my wife ordered a latte every time. The view from the terrace where we had breakfast was simply magnificent ! ! ! From one side - Bosphorus and the sunrise, from the other side the Blue Mosque and seagulls on the roofs. The location of the hotel is excellent - 5 minutes to the Blue Mosque. The area is good, not too noisy, but also safe. There is a 24-hour store nearby, where I was always buying something tasty. And you can’t count how many shops and good restaurants there are nearby. We don't like to stay in the same hotel if we're returning to a city we've already been to. But here I would probably make an exception and would happily stay in this wonderful hotel again! Thank you so much, Darussade hotel staff! Nice, unique and authentic hotel in the historic district of Istanbul, just 3 minutes of walking to the Hagia Sophia. The staff was great and the breakfast was amazing with an stunning view over Istanbul. It was exactly the experience we were looking for, not a super modern European hotel with continental breakfast but a charming Turkey place.

Well the isolation of this older building is kind of bad, you'll hear every noise, so don't forget your ear plugs. Has nothing to do with the hotel but it's kind of annoying that you're getting asked the whole time to buy something, to come into a store, a restaurant, etc. as soon as you're leaving the hotel.

The Darussaade was an excellent stay. I'm very happy with the hotel and the staff, especially Ishmael, it was fantastic. We stayed for an entire month, longer than normal for most, and would recommend this hotel to anyone if you plan an extended stay. You are located in the heart of almost everything in Fatih, with some great restaurants with very friendly staff right outside your door. Definitely stop at the Özlem Kasap & Market up the street, he's very friendly and if you get to know him, he'll be very kind to you. The view from the terrace is outstanding, both the Sea and the Blue Mosque are clearly visible, as is the distant parts of Istanbul. Breakfast is quite good, but again, the staff here is VERY friendly and attentive to your needs. Laundry is quick and efficient. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!

Not so much of a complaint, more a "just be aware" but this is with ALL hotels in the area. The hotels are designed for Turkish breakfasts for short stays. You'll find yourself eating a lot of the same complimentary breakfasts which can get boring. Ishmael did offer to mix things up with their daily breakfast offering, and not just the buffet so the hotel will work with you if you stay longer and your breakfast gets boring for you. You can always go out for breakfast, but it's basically the same thing everywhere. You have wifi, but it's not reliable, which did get a little annoying in the room. But the remedy was to go into the lobby where the signal was strong.

The staff was extremly friendly and helped us in arranging tours/ taxi/ gather informations. We really enjoyed the breakfast, it was rather small but we had the feeling it was very local and authentic which is something that is way more important for us than always having a huge selection of international food. Location: at the end of a busy restaurant street. Depending on how long your stay is, you will get to know the staff from those restaursnts as well ;) In the night it wad quiet enough though. Room: Nicely done but a bit old. The furniture could use a do-over but nothing that really bothered us. Maybe the lamp on the nightstand was a bit too dusty. The size of the room was alright, we liked the seating area at the windows that was very comfortable.

- Rooms and furniture were a bit old - AC was rather load, we turned it off during the night and on the first thing in the morning. It is a very strong one though so cooled down the place very fast

Cute clean hotel with excellent breakfast on beautiful terrace overlooking the Bosphorus and city. Turkish breakfast was amazing and location is really central with easy access to a bunch of public transport options great for heading out to Kadikoy etc.

Would just flag that there's a bit of difference in the double-standard rooms even though they're the same price, might be worth asking in advance to get a room with a view

The breakfast was very great. It changes everyday with a wide variety of foods. The food is fresh and tasty. The staff were very nice and approachable, and they never disappointed. The service is fantastic. It's nearby historic Masjids and a lot of public transport options.

The location of the hotel was great, the behavior of the staff was excellent, the management and staff were very kind and friendly and responsible, hotel it was very clean, the breakfast was excellent with a view of the sea and the mosque, our room had a great view. Everything was very clean and tidy. He had a good sense of his own home. We will definitely come back here.

The breakfast is on the rooftop and the view over mosques as well as the sea was absolutely amazing. The room is not super large but given its price and the excellent services, cleanliness etc. I would say it is definitely a nice stay. The first day I checked in at 230am and there were staff helping us out!
