The best thing about this stay was the staff. They were all kind helpful people who went above and beyond to make this stay so memorable for my family. Thank you Aras, unfortunately I don’t know the name of the rest but thank you all. the hotel interior and rooms are so beautiful with some reminders of the old building plus good renovation. Its much nicer than the pictures! The location is great on a safe street.

bathrooms were small but not a big problem. Noise from outside, which is not the hotel's problem. It is due to deciding to get a hotel at the heart of a touristic city which I don't regret.

The location was ideal. The staff was nice. The hotel was clean. The standard room on the 4th floor we booked had a window which was blocked by a large building on a narrow street. We changed the room for a view on the 5th floor, and we didn't mind the extra charge.

The room and bathroom were very tight. The breakfast was poor, and the service in the breakfast area was slow. We had to repeatedly ask for fresh ☕️

wonderful restoration of an ancient building, unbelievable staircase, the charm of the antique with modern comfort.

if you need a very quiet night, not the best place, if you are used to city noises, perfect.

I would thoroughly recommend this fantastic hotel for anyone hoping to travel to Istanbul! Staff were extremely friendly and gave us lots of recommendations. The rooms were spacious with comfy beds and very clean (cleaned daily with fresh towels). The price was very reasonable and included breakfast. I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Elderly bear in mind this hotel is at the bottom of a hill so recommend taxis to get around. Nothing I didn't like!!

Staff is very helpful. They had answers to any question and solution to any situation. 10 points for that. The room was clean all the time. Location is absolutely great. Minutes from Taksim, Bazaar, Ferry, Tram station and so on. If you want to go further than that and not take the train, the staff from the hotel will arrange for you car with negotiated price that you pay at the hotel so there's no chance of drivers ripping you off. Pretty cool.

The whole area is very loud, and the windows are not doing a great job insulating the sound. The bathroom is just a glass separator from the rest of the room and the door is not going all the way up. So if you have a new girlfriend si might not be able to go to the bathroom for the whole stay :)))).

Perfect location near Galata tower and near the tram but you can even walk everywhere. Very short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. staff were really nice. Room is nice

The door to the bathroom is like half a door so not completely private from the room. water from the shower gets all over the floor. Breakfast wasn’t great.

Good location; just a couple minutes from Galata Tower. Great staff. Very good breakfast. The interior of the hotel is superb.

They need to do something about the AC. I stayed in room 27 and didn’t feel warm at night. (Feb 2023).

The location is brilliant, equidistant between old town and Taksim Square. The staff were lovely. The room was lovely, nicely fitted out. The bathroom was small but that didn’t matter to me.

Our room overlooked the road and it was noisy at night. I always sleep with ear plugs anyway. The windows don’t close properly, it always sounds as if the windows are open and that makes the noise worse. They need to instal sound proofing.

Location of the hotel is excellent, walking distance to the Karakoy waterfront, and to very good Turkish food restaurants. Karakoy is also a Tramvay station and connects you to almost all touristy destinations and to all other Metro lines covering Istanbul. We did not have to rely on taxis at all during our 7-day stay. We were traveling with 2 children and requested for early checkin. The reception team went out of the way to accommodate us and assigned us our rooms 3 hours earlier. The all-you-can-eat breakfast, which was included in the price, was very generous in choices and quality of Turkish foods cereals and beverages. The service was very family-friendly and personal. Mr Erdogan merits special appreciation. He and his team made us feel at home. One of the 3 rooms assigned to us on the 4th floor had a beautiful view of the waterfront and the city Galatahan will be our first choice on any future visits to Istanbul.

Two of the three rooms assigned were cramped for space, even for the luggage carried. They also offered no view of the outside. The toilets in all three rooms were impractically small and cramped and offered minimum privacy.

.A bit of leaking thru the bathroom door for room 46 but otherwise everything else is good for me. A bit of advice for those staying here, it's an uphill climb to wards Sishane Station, so if you intend to go towards Taksim, Istikal Caddesi, maybe its best to use Karaköy Station.
