The view from the hotel top was wonderful. The size of the room was good. The location was near Galata Tower and near the metro and many good restaurants. The front desk people were very helpful and willing to answer every question with smile especially Ibrahim. All what you like to drink ( Tea, Coffee, Latte, expresso ...etc), is complimentary available at the lobby and of excellent quality.

They do not change the towels daily, no replacement of coffee or Tea bags until you ask so. They give one bottle of water once at day of arrival and you have to buy from the market the rest of the days.

The hotel is located along a narrow and steep street close to Galata Tower. It has an excellent view over the city from the rooftop terrace, where the breakfast area is. It is a modest hotel, with basic facilities, but everything was working well (e.g. internet, shower, daily cleaning), and the people at the reception were friendly and spoke English. Behind the hotel is a green area (exceptional in Istanbul) with a ruin of one of the towers of the city walls, and an old bell tower of a church.

Be aware that taxi's can't drop you off in front of the hotel, as the street is very steep and narrow. You need to walk about 50 meters. Be careful at night as the streets are deserted and may look a bit intimidating.

This hotel was a total highlight of our trip! First, the location is unbelievably convenient - It’s right in the centre of the touristic part of the city and is so close to the Galata Tower that there’s no chance you will ever get lost. Secondly, the stuff is perfect indeed! They are incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. They gave us the best recommendations around the city, fully helped us with every single problem and made us feel at home. Totally the loveliest people in the city! The view, oh, the view! Photos that they have underestimate the real beauty. From up there, you can see the 360* of Istanbul, which is totally breathtaking! And starting every morning with a delicious cup of coffee (that btw they offer for free) sitting up there is an experience nobody should miss! The rooms are quite lovely ❤ The interiors help you feel the culture. P.s. there is good wi-fi too. Everything is clean and the service in general is on point.

The location of the hotel is amazing, very close to Galata Tower and Ishtiklal Cadessi, although the street leading to Galata Tower is a little dirty and is a short climb but the rest is amazing. The room was small but clean and the budget rooms are in lower levels with no view. The staff are amazing and very helpful. The view from the terrace is superb.

There was no laundry service but it didn't matter much.

The location was exelent, rooftop view amazing, Room was really nice for me.

Carpet, sheet, blanket was dirty, i think this is important thing in this life at the moment. The smell was little bit tobaco.

It was nice stay two streets from Galata tower. We got upgrade of better room free of charge as they had free rooms, nice room with big bathroom. Roof terrace was simply amazing, you could come there any time. Breakfast was nicely variable with local specialities.

It was terribly cold, when we came. We got in the room only one blanket and there was no spare blanket in the wardrobe as it was in other accomodations. After one night we had to ask for the second. If they had already spare one in the room, it would be perfect. On the breakfast in the roof terrace, there was no heater as it was terribly cold and you should sit in your warm jackets, but the view stood for it.

If you are looking for staying in a great location with good price/value ratio, this is your hotel. Great views from the room (free upgrade), and beautiful view from the breakfast rooftop. Don't expect too much from breakfast though, we preferred eating at a very cute breakfast place just around the corner. Gentlemen called Rustem (nights shifts) really made our stay - very kind guy.

Personally we did not enjoy breakfast too much, could have been added with some fresh fruits

No sooner had we arrived than we realized that the staff were really welcoming et warming. We just entered the Galataport Hotel and we were kindly welcomed and everything was explained to us with every details. They gave us advice on everything and gave all the tips about the city (where to get a good meal for the first time for instance). They helped us find activities and we can utterly say that they go the extra mile to help their host (you can meet them at the desk entrance desk at any hour of the day or the night, they can make some calls to find fare prices on İstanbul must-do activities, they will book you a shuttle transfer to the airport with a taxi they know and you can totally be reassured about) The Galataport Hotel is ideally located in the city and you will be surprised to find out how it is quiet at night albeit the very lively down-town is juste a short walk away The mattress is terrific : so confortable than we slept like a log. Don't forget to set up a snooze before you fall asleep 😁

Check in staff and reception is nice. Check out staff is really not helpful. The person who on duty at check out time did not help us to find a taxi, so we had to walk with our large luggages on the street. It was terrible.
