Perfect location, around the corner from cafes, shops and restaurant. walking distance to the metro station (śishane), aroun the corner from the historical place (Galatea tower), 5 min walk to Istiklal Street. Meanwhile the hotel is located in a quiet ally. Super friendly and helpful staff to help with requests. The breakfasts are being served at the rooftop, amazing view with delicious food.

The hotel did not take any responsibility in response to the missing money from the room. They advised that since the room has been equipped with a safe, the passenger is to blame if any valuables missing.

Staff provided great hospitality. The breakfast was diverse and tasty. The location of the hotel is 1 street away from Galata-tower (30m approx.) and also close to Sishane M2 metro line and to Istiklal Cd.

Despite the proximity to Galata-tower, the street of the hotel's was full of trash and didn't give comforting feeling. Last morning I couldn't have breakfast because of early flight and although lunch box was discussed and so called pre-arranged, I didn't get it in the morning, the morning receptionist didn't know anything about it.

The location was amazing. Easy access . The room was very clean and got everything needed in it. The staff were helpful and really welcoming. I enjoyed the rich breakfast with the nice view.

I didn't like that my room was facing a wall. The staff tried to find me another room but the hotel was full. I'd like to suggest that they mention that for people while doing booking. The breakfast was the same every day maybe to try to change its components .

The staff was so friendly to us, from the receptionist, to the maid and the cook. The receptionist helped us with our luggage and showed us the room, the maids cleaned the room everyday during breakfast (made the bed, new towels, took the trash). It was also nice to notice that the receptionists spoke english. The room was nicely decorated, it had a desk with pen and paper for us, napkins, a cupboard with a kettle, water, coffee, tea, sugar, a mini-fridge and a safe. The bed was soo confortable as well as the pillows, the bathroom was clean, had a big marble shower and very nice toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, soap). The room was quiet, we couldn't hear any calling to prayer at 5am. The breakfast was delicious, lots of food to choose from, from hot to cold meals, meat, veggies, any type of non-alcoholic beverages (tea, coffee, juice, lemonade) and even though we arrived later for it (07.30-10.30) at 09.30, there was plenty of food. As a bonus, the view from the restaurant was amazing. A few meters from the hotel there is a very cute vintage cafe which I recommend for desert/coffee and the Galata Tower. Concluding everything, the stay was pleasant and the only issues we had were with the room (which was the budget room) and not with the hotel.

The window in our room was a bit difficult to handle and even if it was closed, there was a gap where you could see outside. Underneath the bed (which was quite tall) there was a lot of dust and a bootle cap, meaning they didn't really bother cleaning there. Also, the AC was quite noisy to sleep with so we had to turn it off for the night even though it was hot in the room. The surroundings were a bit dirty at night, we saw two people sleeping on the street in the area, but this isn't the hotel's fault.

I enjoyed staying in the facilities, the staff Umit and Muscab as well as the others were awesome. I will definitely stay at that Meroddi La Port Hotel.

The only issue I had was with Booking.com, which until today has not refunded me back the money that I have paid for the hotel using their site. I have provided them with a screenshot of my bank app as well as the text message I received immediately, they have not released my money. I will never ever use Booking.com, this was my first time ever using it.

The bed sheets and towels were very clean and room was cleaned daily. No bad smell at all. The floors covered with laminated boards and bathroom with marble tiles. The city view from terrace made it pleasant having breakfasts there. The breakfasts were good too.

While the location is great and just one minute away from galata tower, the little street it's located on is kind of dirty as its a secondary street, but it was a minor issue.

I could write an entire article about what I liked during our stay, but will try to keep it short: - The area is very safe and also is Istanbul! - The location was more than perfect since you can reach all public transportation (bus/metro/tram) in just couple of minutes by walking, restaurant/cafes & local bars are also just around the corner - The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful! Both Osman and his colleague helped us out with arranging our ferry tours, PCR tests one day before living etc. - Many thanks for that! - Wifi connection was also very good - our room was located on the last floor - Breakfast was already prepared in advance and was served to us as soon as you entered the room - some sweet treats like chocolate brownies, watermelon and Turkish cake were served as well - Excellent cleaning service every single day!

Nothing really to be added here! Everything was just perfect and the hotel exceeded all our expectations. Great job guys! Can't wait to be back one day! :)

Staff was the friendliest they could be, comfort was great, breakfast was ok, hotel standard was overall quite high.

location -in central downtown - a very dirty area of the city in the alleys of Taksim - Istanbul. Good location for people who like shopping and restaurants but walking is the way to get around. I should have researched the area better as I would have stayed in a more placid location if possible.

That’s the 7th time I am comming to Istanbul. First I booked hotel name Merroddi la porta hotel but one day before coming my hotel was changed for Barnathan Meroddi. Honestly I got upset at the beginning because I was comming to celebrate my birthday but when I am arrived I was incredibly shocked. The manager of the hotel didn’t explain me the reason of changing just said that they want to increase my accommodations. And they totally did it. The location is amazing. While breakfast you can enjoy a view to galata tower. Breakfast doesn’t have too many options but it’s enough. Also they serve tea or coffee, just ask. The room was cleaned every day. They leave water in glass bottles which is healthier and that’s for free. I want to say big thank you to the all managers and people who work there, they were ready to help any time. I got my birthday compliments from the hotel twice☺️ That’s never happened to me before. So I highly recommend you to stay at Barnathan hotel or other hotels of Meroddi.

Well I would mention some, but they are not make a big matter. The breakfast starts at 8.00 at the 5th floor and every morning they start to serve it at 7.30 that makes noise if you leave upstairs.

The breakfast was a bit routinely predictable.
