The hotel was lovely. Clean, well kept and the staff were just lovely. Especially Siran and the lady who works the afternoon/early morning shifts. Our Junior suite was well priced and just delightful. The bed was comfortable and there is a loft if you have a lot of luggage, or stairs if you prefer. The room didn’t have a TV but that was fine for us. The wifi is good quality and free. If you include breakfast in your process, it is not on site. They have vouchers to give you for a nearby cafe which is also lovely and has good coffee. There is free coffee in the main lobby. The hotel was right near Galata Tower in the thick of beautiful old town. Plenty of restaurants and shops surrounding the area for souvenir shopping. Short walk to the Tunel Tramway and trams to get you to all of the main tourist attractions. I definitely recommend staying here.

The area is a bit noisy at night, but so is everywhere! Didn’t really bother us as we are easy going. But if noise keeps you awake, bring ear plugs to Istanbul.

The staff were really wonderful and the location was unexpectedly perfect. I could walk everywhere I wanted to go. Management and those working on reception (I am sorry that I am terrible remembering names) helped with with everything from a public transport card, recommendations, ordering food for me and even gifting me a bottle of wine when I looked like I needed one 🫠. The bed was comfortable and the decor lovely. The breakfast is great and is provided in a nearby restaurant, right under the tower. A good spot to watch life go by.

I liked everything. One point to note is that the suite does not have a kitchenette (which is in the description). It does have a small fridge and a kettle, and when I asked for some plates and cutlery so that I could have some snacks during meetings, they were provided straight away.

I LOVED my room with the balcony over looking the Galata Tower, but the street noise was very loud at night due to the cafes below. They are soundproof to i the other rooms but not the street. If you want quiet, def book a room on the other side!

Its very centric, close to a store, the Galata Tower is right around the corner and the train station is less that two blocks away. The hotel itself is perfectly located with short footwalk distance to all public transport services and the oldtown. The Galata Tower and Istiklal Street is just nearby along with lots of great restaurants, cafes and shops. The cozy rooms are lovely decorated to let you feel the flair of the Beyoglu district. The staff is very friendly and engaged to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Wifi connection was superb.

The area around the hotel is quite busy and crowded so it can be very noisy until late at night. You have to be able to deal with it and may ask for a room across the street ahead of your reservation.

You couldn’t set the temperature of the room. The room itself could be cleaner and also missed some essentials (e.g. a safety box and a trash can). Since the hotel was close to a touristic attraction, it was a bit noisy inside the room, but it wasn’t annoying for us.

One of the highlights of my stay was the design of the room. Despite being on the smaller side, it was incredibly cozy and thoughtfully laid out. As someone who values comfort and coziness, I found the room to be more than enough for myself and my sister. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. With its perfect location, cleanliness, helpful staff, and cozy room design, it truly exceeded my expectations and made for a memorable stay.

The hotel was full of charm. Delighted to have no tv but a view and a balcony. The staff were lovely and kind. The room was very clean and warm. But not too hot. The location must be one off the best in Istanbul with a view of Galata Tower from our window and some great cafes, wine bars, healthy resteraunts and even a jazz club very close to the hotel. The area was authentic buzzing with life but not too touristy.

Nothing I didnt like

This is our second stay in Hotel des arts Galata and although I was a bit apprehensive of the noise at night, this time, we had no problem with that. We were kindly upgraded to a suite room which was spacious, nicely decorated (with a vintage and nostalgic touch) and very comfortable (the only problem was that there was not much space between the large bed and the wooden closet, but we managed). The different members of the staff are all kind and helpful, if you need anything, they will try their best to help you. So, if you like to be in the heart of the Galata touristic area (Galata tower is just 5 mn walk from the hotel), this is a good choice.

Sometimes there is a strange smell coming from the bathroom. I don't know if it's a problem with the hotel or with the whole district. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.
