We’ve had a 11-night stay at Genoa Port Hotel. Excellent welcome and consistent quality service. Having notified them of our wedding anniversary, they surprised us with both an upgrade and a beautifully decorated room (balloons, flowers, rose petals…), such a wonderful gesture ! Ufuk is a very thoughtful hotel manager who was always glad to point us to the right direction, give us suggestions/tips for restaurants, sightseeing and tell us about Istanbul and Turkey in general. The hotel is in a up and coming neighborhood that reminds us a lot of Soho (NY): it is one street behind a diverse array of street food, gourmet restaurants and bars within one vibrant areas. It is also at a 5mn walk from Galataport, another trendy area right in front of the water with great restaurants and shopping. Genoa is near the metro, bus and funicular stations. Moving around whether to Sultanahmet, Besiktas, or anywhere really was simple. Wifi works great, rooms are kept clean and the bedding is comfortable. We have been to two other hotels during our stay in Turkey. It is hands down our best experience. Thank you Ufuk and team and see you on our next trip to Istanbul in sha Allah !

The hotel is totally new and near to many shops and restaurants . Also Mr. Ufuk is very kind man and very helpful and you will feel like home . For sure my next time will be there .

The hotel is located in great area, close to everything. Ufuk is a gentle and friendly owner, he helped us in every possible way, we arrived on a Sunday and everything was closed, he provided us with a phone card, money exchange, guided us into all the places we wanted to see,even reserved online tickets for us for the ferry to izmir. We came with one bag and coming back with 5, we called him and he was very willing to keep the bags for us until we leave istanbul. I strongly recommend to stay in his hotel.

location is great; I love Karakoy area after Galata Port was build; it’s both cozy, trendy and well connected; I had superior room which was good size for one person but would be quite tight for two staff was nice; offered tea/ coffee on arrival and helped to book a taxi back to the airport; bed was comfortable; wi fi was sufficient for working though not top quality (I would be hesitant to do a large video meeting); good shower; there is no breakfast but there is a cafe on site if one wants a bite or a good cup of coffee.

everything was good; note that it’s a simple hotel (ex. no elevator, quite small simple rooms), so plan accordingly.

The location is excellent, although a little hard for taxis to find. The rooms are quite large and appear recently renovated. The A/C worked well. The street outside is quite busy but the windows are double glazed and noise wasn't an issue.

It wasn't an issues for me but the lack of an elevator might be a problem for some. I'm sure the staff, who were very helpful, would assist with suitcases. There is no food available, which is reflected in the price.

New property in a great location. Small hotel located in a quieter alley, meaning less of the famous traffic noise. Staff couldn’t do enough to help you- free Turkish coffee and chocolates, lending umbrellas for the rain, booking taxis etc.

Everything was great: location, room, staff, cleanliness. It’s near to all entertainment of Karaköy, 3 min from Galataport, so you can start your day walking along the seaside. Also, hotel is very near to public transportation spots, so you can reach anywhere very easily. I have free room upgraded☺️ It’s very quite in the room, so you can sleep well. And what is really make sense to me is that there are more than enough hangers in the closet😁 Hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, but near by a lot of coziest places, where you can go and feed yourself. Will recommend definitely the place, I love my stay there👍🏻

There is no elevator in the building, so if you have huge luggage it will a bit inconvenient.

Great location, although squeezed in between other buildings with no view. However rooms were very quiet, clean and with comfy beds. Very easy access to the port area, walking distance. Galata tower is also not far, although up the hill. Very good restaurants all around. The highlight was the welcoming staff, always offering tea, water, ready to help with any request. Ahmet was very helpful when ordering taxi to the airport, he carried our bags all the way to the car (many thanks!!).

A bit difficult to find since the sign with the hotel name on the main street is not big and visible and the main entrance is located in a small parallel street. Just look for Kava cafe which is on the corner of the street where the hotel is located.

Value for money was very good. Right in the heart of Karakoy port, very close to everything ( Taksim square, Galata port ) also the nightlight is all around the hotel. I would recommend the hotel and will check in next visit for sure. Room was cleaned with new towels everyday and replenishing coffe and tea and water bottles. Ahmed and his brother at the reception were very helpful during the whole stay.

The room was smaller than expected, and with no view to the outside. However the hotel is very clean and next time I will book the deluxe or superior room as the standard room is very small.
