The location was great and the hotel was very comfortable. We had a room on the ground floor and it was convenient going down to breakfast and also when leaving. Plus there was no noise disturbance except for the occasional cats fighting outside the window. Sinan and Abdul Rehman in reception were so great. They were so helpful and polite and accommodating. They really looked after us well. When I requested an extra bed for the room, they were able to help easily and their communication was great even before arriving. Great service from breakfast too- Sabrina was lovely. She gave us some food to take with us on our journey back home which was so wonderful.

it was my first solo trip and I was a bit stressed that I would feel lonely or unsafe. But the moment I walked into Kumru hotel I was greeted and treated as a friend. The Hotel and rooms are great but it's the people working there that made it very special. I stayed there for a week and honestly think that I enjoyed my trip so much thanks to all the staff at Kumru Hotel, who helped me with all my needs and made me feel very safe in an unknown city. Special thanks to Sinan for a warm welcome, answering all my questions, and making sure I get back to the hotel safely. The Rooms: Rooms are modern and cleaned every day. The bed is comfortable. The water pressure is not the best but it does the job. There was also a minibar for late-night snacking. They also provided water bottles free of charge that they restock daily. Location: Great location, really close to the main tourist attractions and the tram, but still remote enough that you don't hear any noises from the street. There are also a few great restaurants around the corner. Breakfast: good selection of savory and sweet dishes: salads, cheese, eggs, bread, cereals etc. That allows you to switch up what you eat every morning. The food tastes homemade which I particularly enjoyed.

With the affordable price offered, Kumru Hotel facilities is great together with very delicious and variety of breakfast selections every morning. The view from my room was also beautiful. Thanks Kumru Hotel for the great hospitality. The staff was very helpful as well. The location is very good with a lots of restaurant around it. And for muslim, there is a mosque with 3-minutes walking distance from this hotel if you wanna perform the prayers daily.

If I close all the windows, seems like the room is lacking of air ventilation system. So, sometimes I need to open little bit my window for the ventilation.

The room is good. Breakfast is very tasty a lots of choice. The location is amazing very close to the major historical sites, mosques etc, Lots of amazing restaurants close by. Very close to the park and the beach and shops. Nice to walk by the beach. Since I a am a cat lover, I enjoyed petting them when ever I see them. Most cats get close to you and allowing you to pet them.

I like the vibrant city of Istanbul. Amazing people very helpful in everyway. I thank Abdurrahman at the hotel for giving me a good information and advice. Yigit was very helpful and I want to pass my gratitude to him.

Clean. The location is good if you wanna visit the main attractions in the zone. Breakfast is good (but mainly Turkish options) The staff is friendly and attentive

We booked a double room with twin beds and we got a queen bed. Also the room was extremely small so be prepared for that, was hard managed our luggage daily without enough space. The room looks way bigger in the pictures than in real life.

The location is fantastic, 7 min walk to main attractions, so many local shops to eat from and buy snacks. The little hagia sophia restaurant has amazing food at reasonable prices. The family room is very big with a nice private turkish bath. The hotel was very accommodating by allowing us to use the microwave to warm food or milk. Due to having a 3 years old, we ate in the hotel. Breakfast was the same and pretty standard, loads of variety though. Overall a pleasant experience.

Don't expect to have your room always clean straight away especially if you have the bottom rooms. The cleaner finishes at 5pm and starts cleaning from the top rooms, then works her way down. I feel the hotel should employ an additional cleaner in peak periods to maintain cleaning expectations.

An excellent hotel (considering the location, price and quality for that money) in the very center of old Constantinople/Istanbul. Very close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern and other ancient iconic places. Just a huge mass of restaurants and cafes within walking distance and for any budget. The staff can recommend some “tested” places. The hotel staff is very responsive. We were on holiday with friends, their hotel was nearby. The hotel staff didn't mind when our friends came to visit us a couple of times for a couple of hours. My recommendation is to take the advice of the hotel representatives and book the airport transfer they provide. You will save a lot of nerves, as the hotel staff understands well how to deliver you to the airport on time, taking into account traffic jams and congestion in Istanbul at different times of the day.

A small, one might say “cosmetic” wish... I would replace the light bulbs in the room with “warmer” ones 🙂, that is, with a lower light temperature. According to my feelings, the bulbs are installed with a temperature of 4000K (Cool White or even higher) but I like something like 3000K (Bright White) or less...

Peaceful location yet close to all the major attractions in Istanbul..from hagia Sofia to blue mosque(just 7 mins walk)..to grand Bazaar ..to the sea(5 mins walk)...Neat n clean rooms...great breakfast ..cozy comfortable rooms.. Awesome management...lovely staff. very helpful the moment we stepped in. Abdur Rahman,Ibrahim and Utku Arslan all have been very helpful,polite and friendly and made airport transfer on request. Looking forward to come again and stay at Kumru hotel for longer period of time .LOVED IT!!! Not to mention the Turkish delight presented to us while leaving...such a lovely gesture guys ..fab!!

We had a wonderful stay at Kumur Hotel for 3 nights. Staff were so friendly and ready to help with anything for your vacation in turkey! not only your stay in the hotel. Shoutout to Ibrahim fol all the help and guidance. The bed was really confortable! Everything was of an irreproachable cleanliness: the room, the lobby and the restaurant.. it also smells good in the entire hotel. you can see a diffuser in almost every corner. The breakfast was my favourite coup-de-coeur! really tasty and varied! I enjoyed it every time. Thank for for all the attention and care Kumur Hotel!

Location was fantastic. Very close to the Sultanahmet within walking distance of Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, ATMs as well as the tram station. Also lots of restaurants, cafes and shops close by. They also help you arrange tours, airport shuttle etc, but we didn't take, so can't comment. On day 1, the reception guy gave us a map which was pretty useful. Rooms are also decent with a good breakfast spread. They also had jet spray in the bathroom, which was quite useful. They also had laundry service.

A full size mirror in the room would have made it perfect, but i won't deduct any stars for that.
