The Hotel is Good. Just beside the Galata Tower and Galata Bridge. There is a Tram Station nearby. Infact you can walk across the Galata Bridge to the Grand Bazaar. I Booked for an Airport Transfer cause I landed very late at night. I was not able to see the driver at the Airport. I messaged the hotel and the guy in the reception was so nice to guide me all the way till I got into the transport. He made sure we were safe at all time. Such a Professional. The Airport Transfer was so comfortable, it was a VIP transport. In the morning the guys were so nice to send the breakfast to the room as we had to wake up late. The Breakfast was Traditional Turkish Breakfast, so many dishes, including eggs.

All was good except for the Aircon on the 1st & 2nd day. The Room was not getting Cold at all. My wife and myself sweat at night. On the 3rd day the Aircondion was back to normal and the room was cold. The Hotel is located on a very steep slope. So everytime you return back to hotel have to walk up the slope.

+ The location is supercentral and it is in the vibrant area of Galata Tower. I requested a quiet room (like, facing the back/interior yard or even a wall, that's my usual request as I have a light sleep :) ) and received a room on the top floor facing the backyard and... the Bosphorus at the background!! :) That was such a nice suprise and a great bonus to my special room request, the views from the room's balcony were breathtaking, during the day/eve and at the sunrise alike!! The bed was comfortable and there was everything necessary in the room. Overall, I would totally recommend the hotel for its location, room views and nice presonnel. But I find it is a bit overrated for what it actually is, at least, for the moment. Thanks for your hospitality Royal Galata :)

- My room was small, but still costed 100 eur. I know that am supposed to see the room m2 before booking, still, there are better ways to manage even the 18m2 space. I'd for example improve the desk/ working space. In addition, the hotel tries really hard to be close to a 4-star hotel (especially, given the prices!), but they are not fully there yet... The cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved. Also, the breakfast, which is included in a quite a high price of the room (and is supposed to be great according to the description) starts at 8.30 am, which a bit too late for a wanna-be 4-star hotel :) I was leaving the hotel shortly before 7am, and all I've gotten was a cappuchino and frozen croissants kindly offerred by a receptionnist. Still, it was nice, they really make an effort.

The hotel is very clean, new and welcoming with a very kind and helpul staff, always eager to support. The location is also excellent as it is perfect for reaching different places of interest with a walk. Our days in Instanbul were perfect and I therefore highly recommend to stay in this hotel.

central location in Karakoy near tram station, friendly staff, kudos to the manager Ismael who was helpful with recommendations and our luggage. Room servicing was also friendly and efficient

The access road to hotel is rather narrow and blocks the whole road when you are disembarking from your vehicle. Lifts are really small and can at best fit 3 pax with luggage.

The hotel has a very modern look and feel, on top of it being clean. Also, the staff will make sure to accommodate requests as much as they can. They were superb and made our stay comfortable!

Sometimes, we could hear a loud banging of the door/elevator door in the hallway. The area is in a slope, so it is quite difficult to use baby prams.

Location is perfect! Rooms are amazing 😍 Ismael from the reception helped me a lot in my holidays! the team is very nice and helpful!

I like everything the location amazing the room very cozy and warm the view very nice the hotel very clean the guys in the hotel helping me with everything how to go to nice places they helped me with the PCR in general can say those seven nights which I spend in this hotel was amazing and I felled like am with my family . I want to say big thanks to devran , ismail and baris because my vacation was amazing because of you guys.

We were planning a four day stay in Istanbul and wanted to make sure that the hotel was central to the ferries, sightseeings, restaurants and shopping districts. My wife and two daughters reminded me every day how good the service, clean and friendly the hotel is. We are truly amazed by the service given by the manager Ismail and Mehmet. They went above and beyond with their service and kindness. The beds are so clean and comfortable that we overslept the first day! Besides the service, the location was very good. Now, Istanbul is a huge city and you definitely want to have an accommodation that is central like the Royal Galata Hotel. The Eminonu/Karakoy ferry is a 5 minutes short walk and if you don't want to climb the hill to Beyoglu (which I loved) you can take the Karakoy Tunel. From now on it is a no-brainer, whenever I book my trip again to Istanbul it will be the Royal Galata Hotel.

I liked everything!

i booked this hotel after reading the reviews and seeing the pictures, and it did not disappoint. the location is everything! close to Taksim sq. and Istaklal street, and Galata bridge. Its a bustling street. A congested building when you first enter but rooms are spacious according to your preference. We got a street facing room with the view of the Hagia Sofia on the left and the Galata tower on the right. The staff is very helpful and accommodating, they catered to all of our needs. Special mention for Mr Mehmat, the in house Chef, who treated us with wonderful breakfast in the morning. Mr Dervesh, Mr Ismail and Mr Devron at the reception were pleasant and hospitable along with 3 other members of the staff (cannot remember the names unfortunately :( ) always greeted us with smiles. Room service daily. They provide airport transfer with an added charge.

The smaller south facing rooms are a bit stuffy. They mattresses are a bit dodgey, you sort of sink into them, some people may have trouble with the busy street downstairs so they shoukd choose the south facing rooms, very quiet.

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. They met all our requests without any hesitation. The chef is awesome 👌, highly recommended. Great location, close to everything - ferry station, city centre, tram, metro station, near shops, bars/restaurants. Definitely will come back when in İstanbul next time.

Thin walls, you can hear everything from the room next door.
