It is a cosy hotel at the corner of a quiet street just opposite a small park. Mr Bilal who works part time at reception is a very polite man and helped us to carry our luggage to our room. He speaks good english. The manager, Mr Hakan, is a very polite and informative man that speaks very good english. He eagerly answered all my questions and recommended me excellent touristic attractions. He also booked me a taxi for airport on check-out.Thank you Mr Hakan for creating a memorable stay for your guests. The suite has a separate bedroom with a king bed and a twin bed. There is also a small living room with a sofa bed and a small table and four chairs. The kichenette is enough for a trip. The suite is very clean and a nice lady cleans the room every day. The beds are comfortable, the sofa is not big enough for an adult as a bed, but is ok for a child.Location is great. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants a few steps from the hotel. Hotel is 9 mins walk to the çemberlitas tram station( steep uphill, not suitable for elderly) and 5 mins walk to küçük Ayasofya bus stop and 9 mins walk to the çatladikapi bus stop. For those who can not walk uphills BN1 bus is an excellent choice. You can walk to kucuk ayasofia bus stop and take BN1 bus by which you can go to yenikapi tram station, Bakirköy, Florya park and Istanbul aquarium. You can also take BN1 bus from çatladikapi bus stop and go to Eminönü square. Marmara seaside is a few steps away from this bus stop and you can spend the nights at this area for walking and sitting on a bench for relaxation and enjoy the amazing sea views. I defenitely recommend this hotel.

Very small shower

The suite is spacious and the private balcony overlooking a park adds a touch of luxury. Hagia Sofia and the Blue z Mosque are only a 20-minute walk away (uphill which is great exercise). Lots of restaurants nearby.

A little mould in the shower. Otherwise perfect.

Had a lovely stay here! The hotel is located on a pretty street with several eateries, shops, a small supermarket, and a park nearby. Mr. Hakan is very friendly and helpful, and was kind enough to upgrade my room at no extra cost as well as arrange airport transfers - you do have to pay cash for the transfer. Train station and main historical attractions are all within walking distance, just be aware that there is an uphill climb to get there. The room was comfortable, and the neighborhood felt safe for a solo female traveler. The restaurant across the street is open until late at night, and you can hear it from the room; earplugs worked well for me. Everything was as described and just like the pictures. Overall enjoyed it!

Had no issues

Lovely small hotel located in the historical Sultanahmet area, and within a 10-minute walk to Blue Mosque, Topkapi and Ag Sophia, Grand Bazaar, however, the walk involves a very steep hill going up, and of course coming back down again, so if that's not an issue for you, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. My spacious room (deluxe with balcony) was like a studio apartment, with a fridge, kettle and a cook-top, huge bed, located on the top floor (stairs). The private balcony was HUGE with a table and 4 chairs. There is a supermarket called "Kimi" less than one minute away that stocks whatever you could need from milk to toiletries, and a restaurant directly opposite the hotel that gives you a 10% discount if staying at Royal Suites. The owner Hanan was friendly and very helpful. Room was cleaned daily. The location was quiet. I recommend this hotel for its location and convenience ... everything! I loved it and would definitely stay there again if I return to Istanbul.

Absolutely nothing.

We spent a wonderful 4 days in the Royal suites Sultanahmet. We were delighted by the wonderful, caring Mr. Hakan who helped us with advice and greeted us very kindly. The lady who works in the facility is also gorgeous. The location of the facility is great, just minutes from Istanbul’s main attractions and trams. The room is decorated in an old-fashioned style, which we really liked because we were looking for something like that, there is also a refrigerator, which was very important to us. We found fruit and water in the room, and the room was tidied up every day. Across the street is a nice park, which we really liked. The facility exceeded our expectations, we felt at home. When we come to Istanbul for the second time, we will stay at the Royal suites Sultanahmet. Thank you mr. Hakan for making our stay in Istanbul wonderful!

We liked everything.

This is a great place in an excellent location. It has an excellent restaurant across the street open until midnight daily. An express bus takes you from the airport to the subway and Tramvay. A 15-20 minute walk down very steep hills from the Tramvay takes you to the front door. A 10 minute walk to the BN1 bus takes you either direction on Kennedy Caddesi. An Istanbulkart allows you to ride the extensive and frequent bus\subway\tramvay\ferry system for less than $0.50 cents each direction. Go North on the BN1 along the Sea of Marmara and the Bosphorus past the Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque and it ends right in front of the extremely knowledgeable and friendly tourist office on the Golden Horn. There is a six hour Nostalgic Bosphorus Tour once a day for under $4. The staff at the hotel(Hakan & Bilal et al) and restaurant are also extremely knowledgeable and friendly! There is a very nice park right out front, a Kim grocery store steps away and at least three more restaurants, including a 24 hour place with 24 hour menu, within 100 yards or less.

It was perfect, no complaints at all.

We loved the location. Close to the old quarter, but out of the noise. The cleaning and reception staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and we felt really comfortable in the room with balcony. Reception staff arranged Bosphorus cruise with pick up from the front door and guaranteed price airport taxi. The hotel is excellent value for money. Also, a big shout out to the Begonville Cafe across the road, which has a great selection of dishes, including vegetarian dishes. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are very friendly.

Nothing to dislike really. It is near to Istanbul's old town so there is some inevitable sound, but it is far enough removed not to be noisy.

I loved my room at Royal Suites. The balcony was larger than it looks in the photo, but awesome to have a private outdoor space sheltered from sight by a beautiful tree. I had a little kitchen with cooker, fridge and kettle. The area around the park is a neighbourhood with great restaurants, a money change, a supermarket, a laundry, and thank god, a shoe repair among others. You could happily hang around home. And I absolutely loved the very local and very old hammam on the other side of the park. Definitely not ritzy, only $20 AUD, but a lovely, truly local experience. Wish I had gone everyday, especially after seeing the hammams of the royals in palaces. The area is not serviced directly by any public transport but it is straight up hills for 7 mins walk to the T1 tram, but on my last day I found a very pretty and flat walk to Sultanahmet when I went to Topkapi. I really liked Hakan who runs the place, speaks German, Russian and excellent English and is great to clear up my questions about local culture. Rosie was so warm when we arrived and I will always go back there.

Location and the hotel superb. Staff Hakan and the rest of them are always helpful. Minor issue, sorted immediately. Hakan upgraded me to a suite it was a very nice bay windows light comes through.. and 1st floor very happy with it. Central heating system, superb. Mini fridge was + Iron provided on request. Just behind Sultanahmet Metro about 10 -15 min walk to both metro and the Blue Mosque. Lot of places to eat.. In fact rooms look much better than what you see in pics. Supermarket, Chemist and restaurants just 1 -2 min from the Hotel, very convenient.

nothing particular.
