Great location with a nice person running it ( Ilias the receptionist- very helpful) located in a convenient place - cozy and functional.

Breakfast could have more variety-same cheese and same cold cuts, same juice every day ( no yogurt in Turkey!!!) Extra charging the Turkish coffee.......ouch Parking ( thanks to Ilias I was lucky to find it near by other wise way too far and charged)

Great location and a fabulous view over the sea. A little confusing if you came by car or maybe i just have a dumb GPS. There are parking lots close enough. Really nice and helpful staff. The boys at the reception are very nice and chatty without pushing you like in other hotels to buy trips or other stuff. They just are helpful and happy to have a conversation with guests. And we found out that i have a marching jacket with one of them :). The lady at the breakfast terrace noticed that my wife was not happy with her boiled egg and immediately gave her some scrambled eggs. Room was spotless and cleaned every day. Despite the cold weather, the A/C unit could make your room a sauna in minutes. Oh... did I mention the view?

We stayed 2 days in the hotel and greatly enjoyed our staying there. We arrived early in the morning and the guys at the reception allowed to leave our luggage before check-in. The room was quite big and clean. There was a very comfortable bed and the sofa. The reception guys were very helpful and were available all the time via whatsapp. The hotel itself is located very close to main city sites. The balcony with the sea view was a perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea. We were a little bit concerned about the noise from the street but it was very quite. In the morning there was a common but sufficient breakfast: eggs, sausage, bread, cheese, fruit and vegetables, tea, coffee. We are very thankful to the guys for their service and hospitality and would be happy to come back!

Location and the staff are the best attributes of this property. Iyed and Dursun were extremely helpful and were always thoughtful about the needs of my family. They were really helpful in pointing out what we needed, be it transport, food or pharmacy. Really felt like they were more friends and not just hotel staff by the end of our stay. Well done Iyed and Dursun. The property had good wifi and also good runnning hot water. They had breakfast in the morning which was simple but sufficient. Property location is excellent. It was within 5-10 mins walk of Blu Mosque, Hagia Sophia and its adjacent tram station, giving you greater access to other parts of Istanbul!

The property is a tad cramped with narrow staircase and does not have a lift but that is expected of such an old property. More than made up by the positives in my view!

The room was comfortable for my mom and I. There is an absolutely beautiful view with lots of ships and boats passing by. Since it was during the winter, quite cold outside but the room was always very toasty, no need for heater. The staff were very helpful and always making sure to have the room clean, and inform us about changing of linen and towels. A special thank you to Eyad and Mohamed for the great breakfasts and conversations! They were very helpful with information on getting around Istanbul and different sight seeing areas! Eyad and Mohamed are doing a great job of making Seahouse Suites a comfortable and friendly family environment!

Very nice small hotel in perfect location, easy access to Sultanahmet area and a convenient bus stop just around the corner (BN1 bus connects you with the Eminonu area). Tip: ever get tired of crowded streets of the Old town, just cross the street and take a nice walk along the sea. It has a beautiful view and a simple restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. The hotel room was very comfortable, the bathroom was tiny but very clean with fresh towels and some basic amenities. The bed was great, the hotel had a balcony with an a beautiful view, table and chairs to relax with a glass of wine or beer at the end of the day. Hotel staff was amazing, very friendly, especially Iyed! He was so helpful and polite. We came late for breakfast one day and he was simply sitting and waiting for us to eat before he could start cleaning. The other receptionist and the lady at the breakfast were friendly too. I hope the hotel administration appreciates them as they are the ones that create that friendly and pleasant atmosphere (which is not the case everywhere). Overall - good value for the money. I would gladly recommend this place to everyone.

Everything was great

Great location on the edge of Sultanahmet overlooking the Marmara Sea- which means great sea views from the rooms and the breakfast terrace, not just a sliver of sea visible in the distance. Breakfast on the terrace was simple but tasty and plentiful, with the glorious view providing adequate compensation for any lack of variety. We were told breakfast is served at 8.30 am, felt this was a bit too late- but when we went to breakfast at 8 am, it was ready for us! The two members of staff at reception- Iyed and Hassan, were both very friendly and helpful, with Iyed's command over various languages, including English and French proving to be a great asset.

The room was small but had adequate space- the bathroom however, was miniscule, with the smallest handbasin I have ever seen. The shower cubicle was very small, likewise, and a bigger/taller person than I would struggle to take a shower without bumping into the walls.

The sea views from the third floor room were absolutely gorgeous and the balcony was lovely. The room was very similar to the pictures online, which was reassuring. Air con was fantastic. Great to have a little fridge too. Big plus that they offer a 24 hour reception and such a bonus that the staff spoke some English. It is clearly stated that there are no lifts, but this wasn't an issue at all as the staff were very kind in assisting me with my suitcase. The views from the rooftop breakfast area are also stunning and it was great that breakfast was included. It felt more like a residence than simply a room in an impersonal hotel chain. Its location is so good, so close to many, many restaurants and so many tourist attractions in Sultanahmet and yet not in the loudest and busiest part of town.

Not an issue but just noting that the bathroom is very compact and that there can be some traffic noise.

Seahouse Suites is a small guesthouse with 6 rooms on 3 floors in the old town of Sultanahmet, the main touristic center of Istanbul. The rooms are clean with balcony facing the seaside. The house is on a hillside less than 100 meters away from the mainroad along the coast. So you will have traffic noise. But management said in June 2023 that better sound proofed windows will be installed. Breakfast on roof top is simple but ok. And keep in mind that in touristic area like Sultanahmet everything is rather expensive. If you have breakfast outside you pay easily 10 Dollars per Person even for an egg, some slices of cucumber & tomates, some slices of cheese and sausage. So considering that Seahouse Suites are still a very good catch for Sultanahmet. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Soohia and Topkapi Palace are about 10 minutes walk away. In 10 minutes you can walk too down to seaside. No swimming beach there, but a park and a walk way along the rocky shore. The guys who run the place, Hassan & Iyad are very friendly and helpful.

first i would thank the the staff of the reception they were so freindly and nice guys and so helpful . and i would thank the lady of the breakfast she was so nice and lovely . and i really like the hotel and the location ( im talking the value for money and its quality ) . the bathroom was small but nice and clean . everything work inside . i really love it and will definitly will comeback
