April 2024

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in April 2024. My impressions are entirely positive. Staff: The team was incredibly responsive and helpful. They provided detailed information about the city and its attractions, and even showed everything on the map. We arrived late in the evening, and the staff warmly welcomed us, giving us a tour of the hotel. Our luggage got slightly misplaced during the journey, but the staff took it upon themselves to contact the airport and help locate it. Special thanks to Ali and Alex! Location: The hotel is situated right in the heart of the old city, just a 5-minute walk from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, surrounded by numerous restaurants and cafes. Breakfast and Terrace: The open terrace on the top floor serves as the breakfast venue, offering a splendid view of the Bosphorus and delicious Turkish breakfast options. Additionally, there is a covered section on the terrace, providing shelter in case of inclement weather or intense sunlight. The staff prepares various dishes with care, introducing something new every day, and baking excellent pastries. Fresh fruits are always available. Room: The room was spacious, more than sufficient for two people. Upon check-in, we were shown two available rooms, and we opted for the one on the second floor. Housekeeping was provided daily.

The hotel is small, but for us, it was more of an advantage than a drawback.

The Hotel is placed at a fantastic location, the main attractions : Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque, Tokpai Palace, Bosphorus, Parks, Bazaar's are just around the corner. During the evening / night you can take a walk along the sea & watch the sunset, it's a beautiful area. The Hotel also has a beautiful view from the top. The Hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful, I had the pleasure to meet Miss Rukiye & Mr. Ali Karakuş at the reception, both were accommodating and described the best possibilities to view the attractions. The room was always cleaned properly, the bed was spacious and the pillows were comfortable. The room also had air conditioner in it. If I visit Istanbul again, I wouldn't mind staying in this hotel.

These are not complaints, just a few pointers for others who will find this information helpful : - There are no lifts, so you have to drag your luggage by stairs, depending on which floor you are at (the staff is extremely helpful, you can always ask the staff to help you with it) - The floor is wooden, which means you can easily hear the creaking noises once you walk on it, my room was on the 1st floor, I could easily hear what's going on the ground floor when I was inside my room. - The Closet was placed really close to the bed leaving less room to walk around - The bathroom was not spacious All the points mentioned above weren't really a problem for me personally, but maybe this information would be useful for the other travellers.

They offer airport transportation for a good price. Also breakfast was delicious. Most of the foods are handmade by the chef there. The location is nearby many good restaurants and you can walk to the train station and to see different attractions. Hotel staff were amazing and kind the service was 10/10.

Once the booking was confirmed, the hotel staff were in touch to see how they could help. They booked our transfer from the airport and even sent a really helpful video to show us where to go from Arrivals. Breakfast was wonderful - great choice, all fresh and really well presented. Ali and his team worked really hard to make sure everyone was comfortable and looked after. Nothing seemed too much trouble from booking tours and restaurants to helping us buy tram tickets. We were welcomed back after each day out and the staff seemed genuinly interested in what we had been doing and how we had got on. The location is great - five minutes from Hagia Sophia and Topkapi and yet really quiet at night. The rooms were very clean.

We didn't feel that we had any negative comments.

From the moment we arrived, Rukiye and Ali made us feel incredibly welcome with their positive energy and warm smiles. They provided invaluable information about the city—helping us navigate Istanbul’s vastness and ensuring we made the best choices on where to go, what to see, and how to get from one point to another. Without their help, we would have missed out on some amazing experiences. They are really great, very kind and nice to talk to ❤️ Feride and Fatoş were also wonderful. Every morning we had a delicious rich breakfast. The hotel was always kept impeccably clean. Our room was very cozy, the bed was super comfy, and everything smelled fresh and clean. It was also very quiet, allowing us to get much-needed rest after long days of exploring the city. We particularly loved the rooftop terrace, which offered stunning views of the sea and the old city. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Istanbul. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel great.

The location was excellent! The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Sultanahmet Square and all the major attractions of Istanbul. The staff was incredibly helpful! From the moment I booked the room to the moment I checked out, they were always in touch making sure I had everything I needed. They had excellent recommendations for food, excursions, ways to save money, and what was worth my time and money. The rooms were clean, the common areas were well kept, and the breakfast spread was plentiful! I couldn't be more satisfied! I hope to come back to Istanbul again next year. This stay will definitely be on my list!

I had difficulty getting on the WiFi and staying on. There are several routers and repeaters throughout the building and the password worked, but I just couldn't keep a strong connection. It may have been an issue with my hardware. Not sure, but if there was one area that I didn't like, it was that. That being said, I had an eSIM and was still able to use my phone.

Our experience from start to end was amazing. We're a group of 6 (booked 2 double rooms and 1 twin room). We stayed for 6 nights. We were there with 2 sets of parents in their mid-60s and we requested for a ground floor room because they had difficulty going up and down the stairs (there is no elevator in this hotel and we knew this before booking). We were given 3 rooms on the ground floor that was separated from the lobby area with another door, so it was almost like a private space for our 3 rooms. The rooms are decently sized. The staff at the hotel became friends over 6 days. From Ali (the main person you interact with) to the ladies who make breakfast every morning and make the rooms (Dilik and Nelly), everyone was extremely welcoming and warm. They were also very forthcoming and helpful with getting you what you need. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Because my mum enjoyed the french toasts, the ladies made it specially for us on some mornings. Breakfast was served daily at the rooftop deck. The deck has a beautiful view of the Bosphorus (not entirely unobstructed but a great view nonetheless). We also used the deck in the evenings to wind down our day. Breakfast included veggies, fruit, 3-4 types of Turkish cheese, baguette, hard boiled eggs, a few types of meats, some type of salad, cakes, olives, instant coffee, Turkish coffee and Turkish tea. They rotate between french toast, omelette, and types of cakes on different days. There is a water dispenser that you can get water from any time. The hotel is located perpendicular to a busy street with many restaurants that serve only tourists (convenient but avoid eating there if possible) but because its slightly off and at the end of the busy street, the hotel itself is very quiet. The nearest tram station is T1 Sultanahmet station - 10 mins by foot. Stone's throw away from Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque. Walking distance to Grand Bazaar, Basilica Cistern, Spice Bazaar, Sulemaniye Mosque.

The location was great as it was very close to lots of the major sights in the old city. The front desk staff - specifically Rukiye- were very helpful and friendly and helped to arrange an airport transfer. We only stayed one night and didn’t have time for breakfast but the terrace looked very nice and Rukiye made us Turkish coffee when we arrived. The room was clean and well appointed, with a large window overlooking the street. If we had stayed longer or needed any assistance arranging tours or more transportation the front desk would have helped with that.

The room was very nice and beautifully decorated, however the bathroom did not have a door and so the toilet was open to the room. This open bathroom design may not be preferable for all travel parties, but it was fine for one night.
