The staff was excellent and the location top notch.

The room isn't sound proofed enough and you can hear everything on the street below. The aircon was so so along with the internet. Stairwell was interesting, beware if you are older or have bad knees.

The location is great, right next to the shopping street. 20 m or so down an alley, so it is quite enough at night. We liked this aspect very much. The metro line is 5 minutes away and restaurants and bars are basically in front of the door. The room could be cleaned more thoroughly, but in general this was fine. A little excess dust and stuff on the floor, nothing major. The bathroom, shower and sink were very clean. The room was 42m2, which is good. We are a family of four in a room meant for 3.5 people with messy kids, so a little more space would have been good. Then again, we mostly visited things around the city and were not much in the room, except for sleeping, so this was also not a big issue.

The residence is an old building (expected), so there are not many facilities there except for the rooms and a staircase. Breakfast was in a restaurant 40m away, which was actually great, despite our initial concerns. The reception is not 24 hours for those who care - we don't.

Location. Its right at the centre of the shopping area, nice restaurants and pubs in Istanbul. Room. Its huge with nice comfy bed and a nice breakfast table. Its very clean as well. Owner: Arthur, very kind, warm and accommodating, and would take an extra mile to please his guests. I asked if he has hdmi cable I can borrow, he didn't have it so he bought one. Staff. Very helpful and they speak good English. Apet (or Meli) is probably one of the kindest person I have met in Istanbul. He would always ask us if there is anything that we need everytime he sees us. Even the cleaning lady was very kind and polite.

It can be a bit noisy at night towards the morning, but that can be expected because you will be in the middle of probably one of the busiest area (not with cars but people) in Istanbul.

The property is in the center and fantastic location for a couple of nights. Easy location to get to everything. All quirky little rooms on a side street in Istanbul.

That you can not get a taxi outside so you have to struggle with cases up and down the street. Also it’s a steep narrow staircase so not the easiest with a baby but the hotel staff were extremely helpful and once in the room it’s great.

The location. It's in the heart of Istiklal street. Plenty of restaurants right around the corner. You can shop, eat, travel to almost all tourist points without hassle. Taksim Square is just 8 to 10 mins walk from where you can access all public transport. Also, the room was very comfortable and Mr. Arthur and his team were super helpful and responsive. They will make sure your stay is comfortable one.

My room was on 5th floor 😔 After all the walking It was difficult for me to walk up the stairs to 5th floor.

We landed after midnight due to cancelled flight but tge guy from the reception contacted us earlier to inquire abt flight and arranged a taxi for us. Arthur, the manager was extrenely kind and helpful. He met us at reception though it was 3 am, offered us free upgrade. The rooms are beautiful and clean, very stylish, with a glass shower room but with curtains for privacy and there is a lovely roof terrace with fantastic Golden Horn, Bosphorus entrance and Prince islands view where we sat and enjoyed view with coffee (tea/coffee making facilities in the room). Last but not least, pleasant breakfadt in Esmer Chef cafe round the corner on Istiklal cadesi served for free.

It was a fantastic stay! Perhaps a bit noisy late at night due to proximity of bars and noisy airconditioners of opposite building. But the courtyard looking room must be quiet enough.

We are not used with traditional Turkish hotels, however looking at the similar properties around the same area I believe style is the same. However here and there the property needs some updates, anyway I would highly recommend this place for its location, for its staff, and I guess the breakfast is as good as the dinner ( due to medical reasons we couldn’t get to the restaurant for breakfast but we got there for dinner ).

Super friendly, helpful staff! Very lovely people, great hosts! We were even invited to Muammer's child's birthday party (sorry we couldn't make it!)! The room is very clean, cleaned every day. Beds are comfortable, the room is well equipped. The breakfast is really good (in a great restaurant nearby). The location is perfect! Istiklal street, Taksim square, Galata bridge are a few minutes away by foot. Would definitely recommend the place!

The location is great, but in an alley I wouldn't dare to go in at night alone! Our room was a bit loud at night, because there is a restaurant café right underneath but we slept well nevertheless. We were on the first floor, but higher up it shouldn't be a problem. Tall people should mind their heads, the ceiling was not high in our room.

Ideal location of hotel, it's very close to all tourist attractions in Istanbul. Istiklal street is just 50 meters away. Rooms have nice modern design and despite nearby located night clubs it was silent enough in the room to have good sleep. Breakfast was served in cafe nearby hotel (some 100 meters walking distance) and we enjoyed variety of food which was served (photo attached).

One of two rooms that we've booked needs floor surface replacement as it was worn out a bit. Be aware of steep staircase to the rooms, but as personnel is helping with luggage it wasn't major showstopper or drawback for us, we knew it before booking this hotel.
