First, I can say we loved the town of Selçuk! It was wonderful and the area where the Ürkmez hotel is located is the best part! Plenty of cafes and shops. Easy walk to the Basilica of St John and the citadel castle. The hotel was lovely, well maintained, and comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious. Also, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor if you need something to drink. It was a little tricky to figure out where to park but there is free parking available close by and was not a problem for us. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

We had a little trouble using the TV / satellite / cable box that was in our room as it was controlled by a combination of two remotes. Not a big issue and we eventually got it working. We were just not familiar with the equipment.

Our night at the Urkmez Hotel was delightful. The staff's warm and accommodating nature made us feel welcome from the start. What made this hotel stand out was its convenient location within a distance from the magnificent Ephesus archaeological site, Ephesus Museum and the ruin of Artemis. The stay at Urkmez was magical for my wife and me, very nice people, I think this really made a big difference - everyone went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. A decent room with a bathroom. After a day of exploring, it was a comfort to return to such a welcoming place. We are planning to revisit Selcuk and will be staying at Urkmez. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts visiting the area.

The staff were so kind and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were comfortable and clean and we felt very safe there. Breakfasts were very generous, served in the homely dining area. The hotel is in a perfect location for the train & restaurants & shops. The bus station is a short walk away. Lots of information available re local sites, tours etc in the reception area. We hired a couple of their sturdy bikes to cycle 30 minutes to Pamucak beach, 3km of which included a cycle path.

Being a popular spot for local people and visitors meant that the happy chatter from the street continued late into the night. Not a complaint, just something to be aware of if staying in Selçuk and you are a light sleeper.

This is my second visit to Selcuk. I'd say Urkmez Hotel is one of the best you could get in Selcuk Town. The hospitality from the owner is beyond our expectations. Turkish breakfast was great and prepared with love (I believe so) by the nice lady ( i supposed she is the mother of the young owner). Although you may need to carry your own luggage to the upper floor, yet the warm hospitality from the owner (mother & son) would surely complement the small inconvenience due to lack of lift in the building. If I were to return to turkey (selcuk) for the third time, I'd happily stay in Urkmez Hotel again.

The location is probably the best in the town, especially if you come by train. Everything is in 3-5 min walking: the train station, restaurants, bus station, museum - except Ephesus itself, as it is outside the town. But you can walk to Ephesus as well, it took me 40 minutes to the lower entrance gate. The hotel is basic, rooms are small but efficient for 1-2 nights stay. I asked for a kettle and the staff promptly brought it to my room. The air conditioner has heating mode, it was adequate for the weather in January. My room had a small balcony with chairs and a nice fortress view, but the downside is that the balcony also accommodates two air conditioner outdoor units, mine and neighbor's. These are a bit noisy; otherwise, the surroundings are quiet in night. The breakfast is simple but is ok. You get fried eggs and some stuff on the side. They also provide filtered coffee, which is a rare option in Turkey's hotels.

WiFi is slow - I could not achieve smooth Youtube viewing.

Located in the heart of town, handy for the bus and train stations. Spotlessly clean rooms with everything we needed - fridge, kettle, tv,, comfortable beds and a little balcony for watching the world go by. Don't expect any frills. Breakfast was tasty but already plated so quite wasteful. Best of all are the lovely family who run the place. So kind and helpful.

A buffet style breakfast with more variety would have been preferable.

Excellent location, really steps from the train station, and so close to the bus station, Ephesus Museum, Ephesus archaeological site, and restaurants in town. The staff are pretty great- helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly, and the wifi worked well. It was pretty clean. The nicest room was the spacious dining area on the 1st floor. I also really liked that the hotel doubled as a cafe because all day long we were able to order ice cold drinks including frappes and iced lattes. Breakfast was really nice - the tomatoes and watermelon were juicy and flavorful. Aircon worked great.

Room was a bit snug, hard to move around. No lift, so people with mobility impairments will have trouble. The facilities overall could use a bit more of an update, but given its location in Selcuk, it's not that bad - just don't expect a pool and lift.

The Urkmez Hotel and its team provided exceptional service, offering a warm welcome, assistance with luggage, helpful guidance on local attractions, and even aid in planning our travels for the following day. Though the rooms were modest, they provided a comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning, ensuring a perfect night's sleep before our early train departure. Additionally, the delicious breakfast complemented our stay beautifully

Excellent location! Very central. walkable distance to some sites, restaurants, train & dolmus terminals. Their resto recommendations were also very good. Cuneyt was very helpful & responsive. This is a boutique family-run hotel. despite a bit modest accomodation, it had everything we needed to be comfortable. Design & decors were charming. We had a good night's sleep. There were some street sounds because of a busy commercial/dining street below but it dies down early enough before we turn in. This was our first stop in Turkiye & we started off on a high note. Location: Near to the bus station (approx 7mins walk) where you can get green mini-bus to Sirince (10mins ride away) and Ephesus Archaeological Site. The hotel is also within walking distance to St John Basilica and Ayasuluk Castle. The Google map will lead you to the back of the hotel (if coming from bus station), do note the entrance is the side facing some ancient ruins. Staff: Excellent staff who goes out of their way to help you. My camera tripod broke and the hotel guy went out to purchase a tube of superglue for me. The lady cook also prepares a hearty breakfast every morning.

Not an issue for me as the hotel - guy was very nice and carried my suitcase up the stairs. But do note there is no lift. - I brought my own toiletries but do note that there is only 2 small bottles of body shower gel and a hand wash gel in the bathroom.
