The room was very nice and large, and it had a small kitchenette with a microwave oven and refrigerator, that comes in very handy. The hotel had a very nice gym and swimming pool and the breakfast was excellent.

The locations was complicated. There is only one way in or out, and the traffic in the area is horrible. Difficult to find public transportation. There is a mall almost next door, but because of the road, it takes a good 15 to 20 minutes to walk to it, in horrible conditions.

Off the beaten track, lovely facilities including the spa and pool.

The only problem was we went for the 'breakfast in bed' option in which you specify what you'd like for breakfast and leave the card outside your room the night before - unfortunately none of our preferences were looked at, the staff had clearly just grabbed whatever they could find from the buffet that was left over. Pretty disappointing.

Mestil lays out an elaborate buffet breakfast and the food is tasty too. However, the location of the hotel is less than ideal as one has to hire transport to get to the city centre. That said, it's also worth remarking that the current location of the hotel ensures that guests are not disturbed by the noise from the traffic. In regards to the bathroom, I liked the hot showers with excellent pressure.

The bathroom was too small for my liking and the hotel management could also install bidets for Muslims or people who prefer to use this facility

The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are huge, the pool and spa are great, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. It’s centrally located a short Uber from anywhere (even in horrible Kampala traffic), and it’s very safe and secure. The best part is the staff: they are always smiling and extremely helpful! I’d highly recommend Mestil to anyone visiting Kampala.

Good place for a holiday break as it has facilities I liked, like the steam room, the breakfast buffet had a variety of foods to choose from, had daily housekeeping and staff were polite and helpful. I will book for longer next time during quiet season.

Being the festive season, it was noisy due to ongoing events and the rooms are not sound proof. Which made it difficult to rest when you wanted to especially during the day.

Extremely clean, modern, and tastefully decorated rooms. Friendly staff. Mestil truly understands great hotel experiences. Bed was comfortable with great linens, I always hold my breath when I walk into hotel rooms because of past experiences but it was clear that Mestil is above par. Strong WiFi coverage, breakfast was delicious with many options. Would be my first choice if I’m in Kampala again!

Not so much the hotel itself but I had a wax at the spa which was a disaster. I saw the service was offered on the spa menu, called ahead of time to confirm they could do it, and it was clear that the esthetician was inexperienced. I won’t go into detail but I was left with inflamed and burned skin (that wasn’t even waxed well) and left totally disappointed given my otherwise great experience at Mestil. They should really consider removing services from the menu that they’re not good at.

The breakfast was so nice, it was a whole meal.as for the location it’s perfect, it’s located in the middle of the city so it’s accessible from any part of town…and also from the outskirts. Mestil is the best in Kampala.

Just like I said mestil is the best place to relax while you stay there, my only concern is about security…during the walks in the neighborhood at night got mi scared a little bit since it’s silent.I think what should be done better is by allowing the security personnel’s to move around to ensure it’s safe.

The Breakfast was good fresh fruits and good customer service location is ok because the government of Uganda has put new roads which is ok

Beautiful hotel with top notch residences and facilities but very poor service. Management has to check that for sure... Delayed responses from stuff, gym, and sauna are literally dead by 8 pm ...not acceptable for a classy place like this, will definitely visit if they work in those few hiccups..
