Location is great. One can walk anywhere. It is very safe. Breakfast is good. Caters for all creeds. But there is room for improvement. The rooms are clean and spacious for a 100 year old hotel.

The towels are clean but could use an overhaul. Depending on the room one gets, it can be noisy especially in the weekend when there is activity at the Sheraton Hotel across the road, otherwise the hotel itself is quiet,

Almost everything. I stay there every time I am in Kampala. Suits me well. Location, staff room. They give me the one I asked for. I always arrive late due to flights from UK and they are ready and helpful. Porter is just great. Nice big room with shower in quiet area. I love the Speke Hotel

Breakfast was rather slow . I wanted to be away so arrived just before 7 am and unusually everything not ready. Got there in the end but other guests too waiting for things to be ready

After hot conditions up in the North, the A/c was very welcome, and the breakfast acceptable. They also served me the best toasted sandwich that I have had in years with room service speed excellent The concierge service were excellent packing up two large pictures that I was unable to get into my bag at a not unreasonable cost.. Centrally located with easy access to financial district and a taxi rank right outside. Probably good for a short business visit.

No parking apparent, and no pool.

Beautiful place. Parquet flooring in the rooms. Large private balconies with a lovely view over the Sheraton gardens. Close to everything I needed. Fantastic pillows. Sitting on the balcony watching Kampala wake up with a coffee was a lovely start to the day. I stayed for five nights and all of my friends stayed at the Sheraton. I wouldn’t have swapped for the World (but I did sneak in to their swimming pool!). The whole hotel is gorgeous. Feels like stepping back in time. Loved it!

Very minor and certainly didn’t spoil my stay, but you can hear everything in the corridor because of the beautiful wooden floors and doors… but please don’t ever change them! They’re beautiful. But light sleepers might want to take earplugs.

centrally located , heritage property , delicious food, we tried Indian as well as local dishes . staff is friendly and ready to walk extra mile to make you comfortable. it’s ideal if you have business meetings over coffee in the open gardens as well .

some of the amnesties need maintenance badly, during our stay one of the wardrobe doors broke and fell , apparently all amenities need upgrades .

I LOVE THIS PLACE! A lovely woman named Agnes greeted us at the front desk without delay; she was so kind and welcoming! I booked the one-bedroom apartment for my daughter and it was ample in space, had a fully functional kitchen with oven, stove, kettle, fridge, sink, dishrack, the works! The bedroom was spacious and the sitting room had 2 comfortable sofas, a coffee table, fan and television. There was even a round dining table in the corner to seat up to 4 people. We were able to park for free at the back in the hotel parking lot where there was 24-hour security in place. This is where I will book all of my stays in Kampala from now on. 5 STARS ALL AROUND! The restaurant has a great breakfast, lunch and dinner menu as well!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel is centrally located which is an added bonus.

The bathroom could use some upgrading. My first room prior to being switched did not have hot water or proper functioning AC

The staff was amazing and warm; wonderful service. Location is central and very convenient. The food was also very good. The heritage nature adds a wonderful charm.

Being on a busy road it can be noisy. Rooms are small; and there is no 24/7 room service. Also food service can take long.

Room was quiet and staff is the BEST! Every effort was made to accommodate our requests.

It’s beginning to be a bit run down and only one bar of soap, two drinking glasses, and no face cloth were made an available for 3 people. Also, we would really appreciate the option of porridge or oatmeal on the breakfast bar.
