The breakfast was very good and based on local ingredients. A more central location in Kampala is hard to find. There is a lot going on around the hotel, which provides a perfect metropolitan pulse. The staff is committed and you receive a personal treatment. You can always turn to them if you have any questions, and in case of any problems, they are committed to a quick solution. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. I have stayed at Viktoria Mews twice. It is an obvious choice for me for future trips.

Possibly Victoria Mews is not the first choice for those who want a quiet environment.

We recently stayed at Victoria Mews hotel and despite a some small initial hiccups, our experience turned out to be delightful, largely thanks to the efficient management. The new and spacious rooms on the 9th floor were equipped with essential amenities such as AC, fan, and refrigerator, ensuring a comfortable stay. The daily cleaning service maintained the freshness of the rooms, while the picturesque views added to the overall appeal. The on-site restaurant with a terrace offered a charming dining experience, serving a rich breakfast and boasting a diverse menu to cater to different preferences. The hotel's location proved to be perfect for exploring the city, with attractions like the old taxi stand, Owino market, Independence monument, and East African craft village just a stone's throw away. Cafe Javas was also nearby. For further exploration, transportation options like Bolt and Uber were readily available, with affordable fares making it convenient to reach even a bit remote sites of interest, such as the Baha'i temple (3$). While the location may not suit everyone's preferences, we felt safe both within the hotel premises and the surrounding neighborhood, making this location our top choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to others seeking a convenient and comfortable accommodation option in the city center.

Very good staff. I extended my stay for a total of 12 days and I never had exactly the same breakfast twice. The manager knew my name without me telling him. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning every day. Sufficient security.

The location is right in the city center which may not be what you're looking for in Kampala as it means being overlooking the busiest market here and a lot of noise. It also makes it difficult to get transport in and out due to the congestion. The hotel facilities are minimal at the moment. The gym on the top floor hasn't been equipped yet, and while the food was good when I ordered it from the restaurant at dinner time it took a very long time to arrive. If they can improve the facilities on offer and work more on the restaurant it will be a lot better. This is a relatively new hotel location so I can understand that these things take time.

Rooms was spacious and clean, air conditioning good. It's within reach of everything you need given the crazy traffic in Kampala. This is ideal if you have stuff to do within the city center and also quickly connect to the route going to the airport. It's a little gem in the midst of a sort of chaotic environment.

The absence of a buffet means waiting for your meals can be long. The quality of airport shuttles needs attention. I would recommend organizing your own transportation to and fro.

It's amazing place 😍 not too expensive but the service is really good very clean friendly employees communication when it comes on case of cleaning 😀 👌 very clear in side hotel 🏨 only concern is noise because it's in center of the city it's understandable for tourism is good you will meet different people from different countries.

Everything was good 👍

The hotel is very nice. Room was great, location also. the staff was very friendly. They even irond some of my wrinkles shirts without a fee.

They were a bit confused about the payment. Namely, we paid, but at check out the receptionist asked us to pay saying that we haven’t done so. At the end it was cleared out when the person who took the payment confirmed this. However, this took 20 minutes and we were in a rush. So when you pay get some document or confirmation.

The price is modest given the sizable and very comfortable rooms. All the staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to look after you - from reception, to the restaurant staff, the laundry staff and cleaning. Highly recommended if you want to stay in the heart of Kampala.

Because of its proximity to central Kampala, it can be tricky for drivers to get in and out - this a ‘double edged sword’ if you want to stay in central Kampala.

It was clean and comfortable. Very friendly and considerate staff, and excellent breakfast.

Due to their central location in the heart of the downtown market area, it starts to get very noisy by 8 or 9 am. Windows help to muffle the sound a little, but it’s hard to sleep beyond that. I still think that it is OK, because you would need to get up early to enjoy the city. I liked that I was near the bus terminal and the taxi park.

We liked the way we were treated by everyone especially the receptionist Becky who was attentive to our needs. Rooms are a little small but have everything you need. The hotel is right across the street from Levy Mall so that's a big Plus.

It was a very, clean an safe space! Warm water and good Wifi.

It is located in Downtown Kampala. So specially European Tourists have to know, that you have to be very careful, when you are walking around by day. And it's too dangerous outside the hotel by night. And the matress is not soft. And it's very loud.
