- The room has plenty of space - Clean - Free car park - Bed is comfortable - The swimming pool was warm and suitable for family - We enjoyed the Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam Room - Great staff - Coffee, tea and biscuits were provided in the room

- Not enough noise isolation in the room, as we hear noises from neighbors - Not much options in the breakfast buffet, but it is fare with the price

Good location on the city outskirts and close to the water. We appreciated the pool, although it was a bit crowded and had a little bit of sand at the bottom. We spent two nights at the Aberdeen Altens Hotel. Our first night was slightly uncomfortable due to the noise coming from the main road outside our bedroom window. I explained this to Noot at the front desk, who was really understanding and went out of her way to accommodate us in a different room, on the opposite side of the hotel. I truly appreciate her effort in making us feel welcome and ensuring our stay was comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, include all standard amenities, along with a tray of tea and coffee, which is great to start the day. I would recommend the Altens Hotel if staying in Aberdeen.

Facilities and check in was fabulous. Swimming pool was lovely. Restaurant food was amazing and the staff were great! The breakfast choice was huge and I particularly liked the choice of milk being dairy free they had 3 different options. The only downfall this hotel has is its location, although it's close to the main road which is great for transportation, it's also a big attraction for boy racers and loud cars, this is something the hotel can't control unfortunately but it's something to keep in mind if booking.

Room and bed was a little on the small side, although extremely clean and had everything we needed.

Hotel room was great and mostly quiet. Service in the restaurant was excellent. Food was good. The sauna was very peaceful and quiet late on the Sunday afternoon.

Our room was mostly quiet but on the Saturday night the doors along the corridor kept banging for hours and people were running up and down the corridors. The next morning someone went along our corridor banging on doors, presumably to wake a party of people up to leave but it was very early in the morning and quite disturbing. Pool was much smaller than expected. Inevitably it was very noisy and very busy as it was a Bank Holiday weekend.

For us this hotel had everything we wanted. The bed was very comfortable, despite there being loads of kids we heard absolutely no noise at all through the night and the shower was fantastic. I loved the drop down, lift up section of the desk and the steam proof mirror in the bathroom. The food and service were both excellent. We ate in the hotel a lot and so did other people as it was popular. The location may seem a bit strange but it suited us, out of the centre and with loads of parking.

The leisure centre needs a bit of a face lift, the lockers don’t work and the changing rooms weren’t very clean.

Very friendly & helpful staff at Reception. Also friendly staff in the restaurant, we had a lovely evening meal over both nights & excellent selection for breakfast. Good value. Swimming pool was nice & clean. Also friendly staff there too.

Easy to get to Aberdeen City centre from the hotel & train station by bus. We went to stonehaven & staff were helpful in advising us how to get there. My son left his sports bag/wallet and I phoned reception & they found it in our room & advised me how to contact Royal Mail & to email & they will then post it out to me. I had a problem with my bank card that got damaged & they were very helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Large spacious family room with two double beds. Big fan in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Iron and ironing board. Lifts to all floors and plenty of free parking. Staff were really friendly. Great selection at breakfast time, hot food, cereals, pastries and fruit etc. we ate at the hotel on the night too. Lots of choice on the menu and large portions. Just a short drive from Aberdeen beach and harbour.

There was only one egg choice at breakfast, scrambled, which was not cooked properly. Shower was not very hot even on the highest setting. We were woken up at 6:30am by a group of girls in the next two rooms singing and talking loudly. This continued partying until about 10am. I did report this to reception when we left.

We were child free for the night, looking for somewhere to go out for a meal, we decided to lool for the price for one night bed and breakfast here. The price was fantastic. We love the food and service at the hotel restaurant, so it was a winner all around. The beds here are big and comfortable, so you will have no problem getting the perfect nights sleep.

We also love to come here as a family and love using the pool. During covid restrictions, you were able to book a time slot. This worked well as if saved our little one being disappointed when now being told the pool is full and there is a queue on people waiting.to go in, in front of you and you dont know how long your wait is going to be. As a future upgrade project, it would be nice to see a games/cinema or family room put into the hotel, as after the lesiure facilities are closed and you've had dinner there isn't any entrainment for the children.

Check in was quick and easy, with the member of staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was massive, clean and very comfortable. Swimming pool and spa was clean and great, we just had to use it twice! Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice with the buffet style and dishes were not empty for long.

I didn't really have any complaints, unless I were to be a tad pedantic. We booked an executive double room with two double beds - I would suggest that maybe the Tv could be more central between the beds and the seating area. Myself and my partner loved the little alcove next to the bathroom/wardrobes, with a good dressing table and mirror. This was at the 'front' of the room, at the corridor - maybe a door could be installed between this area at the door and the main sleeping area, as this would help minimise noise even more.

Evening meal was really good and prices were ok for meal and drinks. Not cheap but not expensive compared to other hotels we have visited. Breakfast was ok, have to ask for fried eggs to be cooked and brought to table but there was a lot of other options if you had no time to wait. Room was very clean and comfortable and a good size. Did not use the leisure facilities but they did look nice although mostly kids and parents in the pool.

Waited in a queue for 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast. Parents letting the kids run up and down the lobby shouting in the morning. Not the hotels fault but maybe advise parents on arrival and have more signs up.
