Plenty of + boxes .There was disability parking ,the rooms were spacious and clean , and the bathroom was disability friendly. Dog friendly

We reserved a table for our evening meal for 4 people and a 9 month old dog on his first stay away. The meal was lovely ,unfortunately, Teddy, the dog, did bark at passing people and other dogs. After our meal we were asked to leave the table to go further back in the room. It turned out we were disturbing a couple who wanted peace and quiet ( in a dog area !!) . As it happened the man who had a disability, like two of us, was in a comfortable chair , I think it would have been easier to move the couple out of the dog area with his chair if necessary instead of making us feel like fools for fetching a dog. After all, when other dogs barked, the lady did put her hands over her ears. It seems to me they picked the wrong hotel.

Bedroom was perfect on ground floor facing car park. Comfortable bed bright and airy. Great for dogs as we had our dog with us , and the staff were extremely accommodating. Food was excellent value for money , and the service was prompt. I would definitely return to this location , as they are very dog friendly. Thank you

My only gripe would be the “urn” for hot water did not appear to be very hot for tea pot in the morning at breakfast . I’m not sure if there was a fault but thought it might be helpful to assess the “URN” everything else was just perfect.

I liked the cleanliness and good facilities in the room.

It would have been better if the staff were a happier bunch. We didn't get one smile from anyone of the staff. We decided to not have the room serviced the next day and were given a card explaining that we could have a free drink at the bar as a thank you. However, when we tried to claim the drinks we were told we should have claimed them the day before and that they could not be used. Our stay was 2 days as stipulated on the card. It was very confusing.

The Amble Inn is a lovely Pub/Bar/Restaurant and Hotel. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is great. There is a fab little park for kids to play. Food was nice. Breakfast was lovely, a good range of full cooked to cereals. We has a lovely big family room with a large double bed and sofa bed. The room was clean with tea and coffee making facilities. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay.

Our room had a sofa bed which had a metal frame and very uncomfortable and made lots of nice whilst turning over. This was my only negative about this place.

lovely big property the bar was big and comfy.Staff were very friendly and rooms were good size.The bathroom was very clean and great lighting and mirrors ,water was lovely and hot .

the room was quite dark although it had plenty of lamps there were no over head lights except for in the bathroom,and with being on ground level I didn’t want the blind open . The bed wasn’t over comfy as it was 2singles together so very lumpy and springy down the middle. Breakfast wasn’t the best the eggs seemed to of been hanging around a long time very over cooked and dries up infact none of it was very good so much so we didn’t bother with it the rest of of stay which was a shame as it was included in the price and I do always love breakfasts when away

Good quality bacon and sausage. Coffee was good. Comfortable well appointed room. Good location for the nature reserves we wanted to visit.

The staff were polite, courteous and helpful but not enough of them. On the last evening the meal was slow in arriving and came on cold plates and the chips were unpalatable. I was going to raise the issue of the chips with someone at the bar but there were 8 people already queuing at the bar so I didn't. The rest of the meals were good.

Breakfast was ok one occasion at 8.45 my wife who did not want a cooked breakfast found there were no croissants ,on asking I was told that no more had been cooked but if i wanted to wait 20 minutes they could cook some ? little things like milk running out and not replenished , and the same with eggs until asked, all minor but annoying.

Bit of a smell in the room perhaps from shampooing, I did not mention this as we had a ground floor room with both window and door The fresh air sorted it quickly.

Lovely comfy bed, great bathroom, location of room was on ground floor and had a door to the outside where we could park the car. Nice big towels, good selection of drinks in the room and good quality. Bar area good food good and staff friendly and helpful

It is a little bit far out from the front of Amble however if you don't mind driving it is only about 5 minutes in the car. Nothing else around other than a Morrisons a couple of minutes walk away but the grounds of the hotel are really lovely.

this was such a good choice for a person with a dog!!! the hotel was soooo dog-friendly. Starting from having drinking station, doggy menue, a bedtime treat on the bed, a separate door to the backyard from the room so you have instant access to outside for dogs toileting. everything was exceptional. no smell in the rooms even tho they were dogs only rooms. very clean and have everything you need for an easy stay. breakfast was okay but could be better. location was also very good and close to harbour.

I stayed there during a family trip to Alnwick castle, coming from Inverness. After being on the road for 3 days on a harry potter tour with my family, which includes 3 kids (15, 12 and 2), it was awesome the way i welcomed at the Amble Inn. It was the first hotel i met dog-friendly. (note: i am a cat's person). I loved it! Several families just enjoying their drinks and meal and the dogs by their side with food and water. Although i arrived late (with only 5min to ask for food), i was served like a prince :) The meals were awesome. We had steak and fish&chips. I couldn't ask for more space in the room. It is huge and comfortable! The breakfast is very complete and with good quality. My wife loved the overall looks of the hotel and dinning room and rooms. The service was always great, taking details in consideration. Just loved it!

they finish serving dinner at 21 which a very early hour for a Portuguese… but “when in Rome do like Roman’s” so if warned about it’s ok
