You both were absolutely fabulous, made us feel right at home. The property was a great location too. The room was a modest size, with everything you needed. Breakfast was served hot and with the choice of tea or coffee. We’d choose to stay here again when we hopefully make another trip to the Lakes :) idyllic!!

Nothing really to say! Maybe a suggestion to offer an option to tumble dry clothes? We stayed for 4 nights and practically the whole trip it poured with rain with one burst of sunshine, of course to be expected in the Lake District. But could be a nice option for travellers :)

Fantastic location, 2 minutes walk to town, restaurants and bars. Excellent breakfast with great options. Room perfect for short break with everything you could need. Andy is an incredible host with nothing being too much trouble. I have no hesitation in recommending Cambridge Villas and will certainly try to book again when returning to Ambleside.

The parking situation in Ambleside is a bit chaotic but reasonable costs if lucky to be able to hire a parking spot. My bad for not realising that Andy could have provided parking.

Our host Andy was very kind and helpful. Breakfast selection was variable enough and tasty with plenty of tea and coffee. The room was cozy, one would say a bit little. But this wasn't a big deal as we were out whole day. Even if our room was oriented to bus stops we haven't heard any noise from outside. Overall we were very satisfied and would love to come back.

The location is fabulous and the property was very clean and welcoming. The room was ok the small side but we loved it. The decor was very nicely done, the bathroom was clean. The attention to detail on the breakfast was great. second night, it was bit noisy in the adjoining room. nothing to fault the place with obviously but struggled to sleep. Even though we were central - very little noise from the town. absolutely great place to stay.

we managed to get parking at the back of the property but we wouldn’t of been happy to pay in the car park. :-/

The breakfast was fine liked you could have cooked or continental , room was enough for two people , location was good , and great because no dogs that was one if the main reasons we choose the Cambridge

Everything about the Cambridge was fine with us value for money , a couple of rainy days but it didn’t spoil our stay , only complaint far to many shops and pubs restaurants let dogs in 👎

Excellent host nothing was too much trouble. Buffet breakfast was great with lots of choice incl hot breakfast of sausage, scrambled egg, hash brown and beans as well as cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and toast. Great central location and arranged free parking available just a short distance away

the location was amazing, so close to the bus stop and tesco and many pubs. the breakfast was great, they even provided me bread for making sandwich! they have a lot of maps I could take to the trails. everything was great here

It is centrally located on a one way street. Our room overlooking the street was comfortable and quiet so slept really well. The owner was very friendly and helpful, wanting everyone to feel welcome. We would definitely return.

Breakfast was very good, served hot on time. Well decorated dining. . The room size is small but enough for two. Very clean. The hosts are very polite and humble. Highly recommended. Very near to the ambleside bus stop and some good Indian restaurants.

Good choices for breakfast with coffee refills and prime location near the library for tour pick up. Also ideal location for walking around Ambleside. Room was clean and stocked with drinking water, coffee and tea along with a kit-kat each. Hosts Anne and Andy were friendly and helpful.
