In all honesty after having read some of the reviews on trip advisor I was dreading going however I needn’t have worried. I got the traditional (not dated)room I booked. The breakfast was always hot and cooked perfectly best scrambled eggs I have ever had. Evening meal in aspects again cooked perfectly and well presented with pleasant staff. The £25 voucher for 1/2 board worked well for us just cost £7 per person more for a steak but well worth it. Overall a nice quiet pleasant stay and would stay again, and so close to town.

My only downside was a very unpleasant odour in the 2 short corridors walking from reception to the stairs but there is an alternative way up.

Rooms were very clean and up to date . We had a very quiet room almost next to the swimming pool activity rooms. The pool receptionist was very helpful and kept us well informed about best times to use facilities

The cost of the drinks were very expensive maybe that’s why the bars hardly had any customers. We were usually the only couple in most nights . Two small drinks of small measures and mixer almost £15. Not used to those prices at home in the Forest of Dean . So we ended up buying from supermarket and staying in room during evenings

Stayed in a family room with wife and 2 kids. Double bed is a king size bed. Rooms very clean and tidy. Our room was serviced every day. Breakfast was brilliant, quality food served in the breakfast buffet. More variety in vegetarian hot buffet would be nice. Longer hours for activities in resort would help family with kids to enjoy their stay. Resort has activities building which can be accessed free by guests. Swim and water slide, soft play area and play zone for kids. Fit room is great. Giovanni restaurant has top quality food. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Staff were lovely. Room was cosy and beds were super comfy. Lovely shopping/gift shop on site, nice coffee shop too. Free parking.

Stayed 2 nights, the breakfast wasn't great on the first morning. The food was cold and most things were gone, without being replaced. We were down at 9.30, breakfast stops at 10am. All items should still be available. On leaving my door was knocked 3 times by staff wanting to clean the room. This was prior to the check out time and very annoying. I had asked for a special dessert for my friends birthday, which didn't appear, despite being organised. I would go back and give the hotel the benefit of the doubt as the staff were great!

Hello, we are just home from our few days staying with you in Aviemore. I just wanted to take a few moments to thank you for our stay and to provide feedback. I was pleasantly surprised on approaching the Aviemore Resort....beautiful, well-kept grounds, amazing natural scenery and stunning weather. Three large hotels; high end shopping; a cinema; playpark; swimming pool; spa.....the list goes on. My first contact was with Ryan on reception. A very pleasant, friendly helpful, young person who spoke very positively of the resort and he was not wrong. It was as he described. STAFF All staff were pleasant, respectful, professional and hard working. We used Aspects Restaurant and it lived up to expectations. Good variety at breakfast. My poached eggs were cooked to order just how I liked them. Very hard working, helpful, friendly staff all round. HOTEL The hotel and grounds were very well maintained in a beautiful natural location. Close to shops and transport routes. Rooms (and the hotel generally) were immaculate. Ample space. Everything we needed and more. Beautifully clean. FACILITIES The facilities were varied and super for my three year old grandaughter. Wooden playpark. Swimming pool. Soft play. All kept her gainfully occupied. All in all we had a lovely relaxing few days with you, made possible by the hard-working staff team. We hope to be back at some point in the future. A couple of thkngs...just to the left of the entrance to the playpark, one of the net type things, the wooden surround is damaged and coming away. Also one of the swings ...the vertical chain on the right side as one faces the swing, one of the pieces has come away from the seat of the swing. Just letting you know in case of accidents. In the meantime, I would like to post a Google review also but when I google the hotel name, it doesn't come up with the usual options at the top, inviting reviews. Maybe this could be rectified? Thanks again for a lovely holiday. Best wishes to all.

Nothing!

Great family location. In prime location just as you come into aviemore. There is a giant kids soft play area with a cafe which is excellent for small children. indoor swimming with small children paddle area. There is an outdoor park area with slides and swings etc. They have ice skating on-site as well!

I would of given this place 10/10 if it wasn’t for the restaurant. Considering how family friendly the hotel was the restaurant was the exact opposite. It was incredibly expensive and poorly managed. We had to eat here on a couple of occasions as it was very difficult to get a table elsewhere short notice. We paid for breakfasts but as we went out skiing first thing most days we only went to breakfast once on the last day. it was dreadful, there was nothing left by 9am and they didn’t restock anything. So we literally had toast. Although we would return to the hotel to stay I wouldn’t return to the restaurant.

Easy parking, room was nice and clean. The breakfast buffet was generous and well done, fresh coffee. The staff were accommodating and we managed to arrange an early check in due to one of us being ill and needing to rest. The check in manager went to check the room was ready personally and was very sympathetic. Internet was good. Bed was comfortable.

The hotel is a little dated with older style lifts and decor, but not run down. The layout is a little tricky, not always obvious which is the quickest way to get from room to the restaurant.

Beautiful surroundings, ideal location, wonderful family resort. Very friendly staff and easy to navigate. Excellent swimming facilities for children and on-site soft play with cafe. Italian restaurant - Giovanni’s - was lovely, would definitely recommend. Aspects restaurant unfortunately not up to standard, poor service and ok meals. Had to send £35 steak back after it was cooked well done when asked for medium rare. Came back cooked perfectly but no sauce, had to then ask for the missing sauce to be taken off the bill. Breakfast at Aspects was fine, the usual continental which was lovely but no hot alternatives for vegetarians or vegans available. On-site EV parking available.

Aspects Restaurant needs some slight improvement.

Some other reviews mentioned the rooms being unclean or smelly. That was not our experience at all. We got a family bedroom and it was very clean and well kept. The shower is very good and the heaters work fine, keeping the room warm and cozy. The resort facilities are huge, with a nice swimming pool, a 4-storey soft play, a cinema, shopping, and attractions tailored to children in the theatre. It's a very good place to stay with kids. The common areas were spacious and the breakfast (at aspects' restaurant) was delicious. For dinner, I would recommend Giovani's. The location is very good for people going to Cairngorm mountain, and it's close to Tesco, a Petrol station and a Mountain Warehouse store. Lots of outdoor activities in walking distance. All in all, a good experience and we would surely stay there again.

Although the staff was very polite and helpful, there was only one receptionist, something that made queues unavoidable. Nevertheless, you could see staff going out of their way to help you in any way they could. Finally, the activities centre, where the soft play and swimming pool are located, closes at 6pm, which is a bummer since we spent the whole day outside and wanted our daughter to have some fun before going to sleep. Not a dealbreaker in any way though.

A lovely welcome from the staff at reception and friendly staff in the restaurant. I had dinner and breakfast during my stay, there was a good choice and the meals were really nice. The room was a good size with a view of part of the Cairngorm mountains. The room was well equipped and clean. A very comfortable bed and chairs to relax in.

Not sure what was happening to the bottom of the bathroom door but the paint seemed to be pealing at the bottom of the door on the bathroom side. Apart from that everything else was lovely.
