A warm welcome from Caroline set the tone. The house was delightful, light and bright in a beautiful peaceful location, yet only 10 minutes walk to restaurants in Instow. Colin's breakfasts, from creamy porridge with maple syrup to the full English were among the best we've had on our travels. Cake every day and fresh milk in the bedroom after a hard day's enjoyment, was the icing on the cake!! Thoroughly recommend.

I don't want to nit pick after a lovely stay, but the TV could have been larger, old eyes don't see so well, and I didn't like the coffee bags. The smell as you opened them was full of coffee promise, but they didn't deliver flavour for me. Breakfast coffee though was great.

A lovely 4 night stay in spacious, light rooms with excellent views of the surrounding countryside and sea. The breakfast was plentiful and exceptional with plenty of options. There was plenty of off road parking and the location made it easy to travel to everywhere we visited. The staff were friendly, welcoming, polite and always helpful. The cake left in our rooms every afternoon was a nice touch too. Highly recommended!

We had a really warm welcome & were delighted with our large and pretty room with cake & fresh milk on the hostess tray.. Our breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola & fruit juice waiting on our table. Our bed was huge & comfortable: the room was very quiet and overlooked the Grade 1 listed church. We took our cycles with us and were able to keep them locked in a garage. All in all, a lovely property.

The location is tranquil and within a short distance to the beach by car. The owner that I met was very friendly approachable and made us feel at home. Breakfast was amazing , we had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. But most of all the bed was so comfortable it was like sleeping and a cloud. Will return !!!

Very welcoming, super clean and comfortable and a lovely breakfast! Instow Barton has a lovely quiet location, easily accessible and with good parking facilities. There is a short distance to the beach. Caroline did everything to make sure we had a good stay. We wish we had had more time to explore the area. We loved the relaxed environment at The Glorius Oyster - great music and we had the best king prawns ever. (We thought we could swim from the beach, but this is not recommended... never mind.) We would love to come again..

We stayed here whilst walking a section of the South West Coast Path - and it might have been our favourite place to stay during the 5 days. The room was spacious, warm, comfortable, and with beautiful views of the church. The bath was also a dream after hiking in the November weather! Caroline the owner was so lovely to chat to and made us feel so welcome (especially with cake and fresh milk for teas!) The breakfast was also AMAZING! Would highly recommend this place!

10 minute walk into Instow. Easy parking. Lovely couple who own it were extremely accommodating. I’d put on our booking that I’m gluten-free. Two gluten-free brownies were put in our room. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. I’m used to having limited choice, but was told anything could be made for me. The food was abundant, fresh and delicious.

This was simply the best B/B we have stayed in for years. Amazing welcome with fresh milk home baking and a lovely show round. The breakfast was exceptional, well cooked nd very well thought out for all dietary needs

Nothing! If I was being very picky the pillows were a little soft for my likeing but my wife loved them! Some people won’t like having to preorder breakfast but frankly it was so good you won’t care

Idyllic location. If you are a walker on the Salt Path it is totally worth the extra stretch up the little hill. Beautiful house and surroundings but still with a sea view and lovely church (no bells!). Wake up the sounds of the countryside, fresh air and sumptuous smells of breakfast.

Nothing. Nothing at all. It was the best stay ever.

The location was absolutley beautiful - like being in a storybook and so peaceful. The house had lots of lovely character and the room was beautiful and comfortable with lovely views over to the estuary. The breakfast was amazing - everything was done perfectly, thoughtfully and was just delicious! Incredibly good value too - everything about the B&B is beautiful, a really special place.
