Can't get a better location. Very friendly obliging staff. Nice restaurant setting. Room/bed comfortable and great air con. The room was very clean and exactly what you need for city break

The building is grade X listed so it lacked a couple of things that were not made clear at time of booking (at least not obvious); 1) Our room was up on 6 flights of stairs (no lift). Luckily we are able to climb them easily. But if you have mobility issues, make sure you get one of the lower rooms! 2) They do mention that they provide ear plugs as they're in the hear of the city and no double glazing windows. So yes it can get quite noisy at night, especially in the weekend I would imagine. Middle of the night the Sea gulls can also get a bit rowdy ! The room toilet facilities were fine but i do think the loose/broken toilet seat should've been seen to!

The breakfast was quite good and it did have some variety. Perhaps a bigger selection of pancakes and/or waffles or your choice of omelette would make it even better. But that's really is the only thing that I would change.

The only thing that comes to mind is the absence of an elevator (or should I call it a lift?). The large suitcases up the stairs is a chore however, the staff were very willing to assist in do it themselves. I would prefer to do it alone without hassling the staff.

Location is perfect for a city break. 5 mins from long stay car park (Charlotte St) and right in the heart of Bath with the restaurants and shops all on the doorstep. Beautiful decor completed to a high standard. It has a fridge with complementary water and chocolate as well as an excellent coffee machine in the room. Air con was welcome on a hot day. Nice views across the roofs. Though on a busy road on one side, quiet and peaceful. Very comfortable bed with pillow sprays. All the toiletries were really nice. Very good value in view of the quality of the accommodation.

The only downside is that there are a number of flights of stairs - to be expected in an old building but might make it difficult for those with mobility problems. Staff offered to carry my bag though.

The hotel had great ambiance, was stylishly decorated and spacious with a high ceiling. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. My husband and I had breakfast, dinner and drinks downstairs at the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the dishes (I especially loved the lamb belly and sourdough with whipped feta). Perfect for couples who need a good feed and a little getaway in Bath. 10/10

Be wary of the location as we arrived on Coronation weekend, so holiday periods may be busy and a little noisy, not at the fault of the hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Milsom Hotel, the recent refurbishment is fantastic. Looks great, high quality finishes and fittings. We had a very comfortable room, the staff were friendly and professional, the food was delicious and the location is excellent and very central. We look forward to returning one day and would recommend The Milsom to anyone visiting Bath and needing a place to stay, eat or just to have a drink.

The shower was huge and a massive free standing bath tub! Mini fridge was take what you wanted. Proper decent coffee machine. Bed was firm just how I like it and my god it was massive!!

Very noisy, but just stick the air conditioner on to drown out the outside noise. Doors also banging but this is beyond the control of the hotel and is more the other guests Hotel does provide earplugs There's no lift, so be sure you can handle the stairs!

Room 1 was absolutely beautiful, lovely room to stay in for 3 nights. Breakfast was delicious.

Toilet seat still broken and how loud the mornings were at 7am from staff banging doors/cupboards. Could here everything echoing into our room.

I loved the room with the bath, the room itself was large, high ceilings and awesome artwork. Bathroom was huge with a claw bath, loved it.. Was a very comfortable stay and so handy having the bar on the ground floor. Breakfast was great too and such a good location!.. Best ever for shopping, sightseeing and dining!

Car parking - but then again thats UK all over! Plus it is a walk up..

Great location and style. It was pretty quiet and comfortable. The check in was easy and the staff at breakfast were so lovely.

The bathroom had some issues, no fan, and the toilet seat was broken. The windows didn’t open so the room was rather stuffy. Nothing major. The breakfast was nice but the avocado was old and tasted really bad. It was easy to order something else though.

Room was exactly as pictured, clean and modern. Staff were very friendly. Great location- just a 5/10 minute walk from all the restaurants we ate at in the evening. Comfortable beds too!

The room had a strange smell to it- I think it was coming from the toilet/drain system. We noticed it a lot every time we came back to the room.
